Steve Bannon reportedly loses support of top financial backer Rebekah Mercer...

Steve Bannon has not only antagonized President Trump, he also has apparently gotten on the bad side of his most important financial backer.

Rebekah Mercer, a top Republican donor, is not planning to support Bannon any longer, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday night.

On Thursday, Mercer issued a rare statement that read, "I support President Trump and the platform upon which he was elected. My family and I have not communicated with Steve Bannon in many months and have provided no financial support to his political agenda, nor do we support his recent actions and statements."

Mercer was not happy with Bannon's decisions regarding Alabama and some of his other public comments, according to the newspaper. Bannon campaigned for Roy Moore, the controversial Republican Senate candidate who lost to Doug Jones.

"The core constituency for Breitbart is what you would call the Trump Deplorables," someone familiar with Breitbart's ownership told the Washington Post. "That’s the audience. And if they’re asked to choose between Steve and Trump, they’re going to choose Trump. That’s clear."

Bannon, the head of Breitbart News, is a former chief strategist at Trump's White House. There has been speculation that Bannon might run for President, but a person close to him told the Washington Post that he has no plans to make a White House bid.

The President distanced himself from Bannon after it was revealed the ex-staffer ripped Donald Trump Jr. in the explosive Michael Wolff book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the White House." Bannon has received a cease-and-desist order from Trump's legal team.

Despite the criticism, Bannon said Wednesday night that he still believes Trump "is a great man."

People Without GOD Are Treacherous…

"It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills. Let me tell you something, friend, it is not love and it is not friendship if we fail to declare the whole counsel of God. It is better to be hated for telling the truth, than to be loved for telling a lie. It is impossible to find anyone in the Bible who was a power for God who did not have enemies and was not hated. It’s better to stand alone with the truth, than to be wrong with a multitude. It is better to ultimately succeed with the truth than to temporarily succeed with a lie. There is only one Gospel and Paul said, ‘If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
– Adrian Rogers
