Following the implementation of new COVID-19 vaccination requirements for truckers by the Canadian and US governments, a convoy of truck drivers took to the streets on Highway 75 in Emerson, Manitoba, near the US-Canada border, on Jan. 17. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) claimed the “demonstration” near the Emerson Port of Entry involved a “large number of vehicles,” impacting both northbound and southbound lanes. On-site, the RCMP was keeping an eye on traffic flows.
