3 LAPD Employees Terminated & Seven Pending For Peaceful Non-Compliance Of COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate.

Three Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers have been fired for failing to comply with the city’s requirement that they get vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive a religious or medical exemption, according to LAPD Assistant Chief Dominic Choi. Seven other employees are facing dismissal, and a total of 14 people—13 sworn and one civilian—have been found to be in violation of the immunization mandate, according to Choi. Approximately 83 percent of the department has been fully vaccinated, 0.4 percent has been partially vaccinated, and 16.2% has not been immunized. There are currently over 2,000 exemptions outstanding. People who have recently tested positive for COVID-19 are eligible for medical exemptions, which last for 90 days.
