Australian MPs Convene To Demand Logical Explanation For Overbearing COVID Measures Placed On Citizens.

A cross-party inquiry into Australia’s response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been convened by a group of federal and state MPs, with experts and victims of the state and federal governments’ epidemic response measures being heard.

The cross-party inquiry, which is chaired by Queensland One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts, includes Coalition Queensland federal MP George Christensen, New South Wales United Australia Party leader MP Craig Kelly, Queensland One Nation state MP Stephen Andrew, South Australian Coalition Sen. Gerard Rennick, South Australian Coalition Sen. Alex Antic, and others.

Dr. Phillip Altman, an Australian expert on clinical trials and regulatory affairs with decades of experience, was one of the speakers at the hearing on March 23, challenging the prevalent narrative against the use of ivermectin in the treatment of COVID-19, the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2.

Altman is shown giving slides on what he called a “tsunami of misinformation” that went from officials to the public, according to images obtained by The Epoch Times.

This included, among other things, that lockdowns were effective in stopping the spread of the virus, that gene-based COVID-19 vaccines were “safe,” that children needed to be injected with gene-based vaccines, that paper and cloth protective masks were effective, and that early COVID-19 treatment was not necessary.

Altman used a slide titled “Masterclass in Marketing” in his presentation, noting that the pharmaceutical companies that developed the COVID-19 vaccines had no liability in Australia and that the Therapeutic Goods Administration had given the vaccines early provisional approval based on limited data (similar to the FDA’s emergency use authorisations in the US).

The vaccines were also paid for using taxpayer money in secret arrangements between the federal government and pharmaceutical companies, according to Altman’s presentations, and then pushed out to the general public.

The Australian government’s response to the COVID-19 epidemic has placed COVID-19 vaccines at the forefront. Australians have been advised to get vaccinated and get booster shots for several months at daily press briefings organized by state and territory officials.

State leaders, particularly in Victoria and New South Wales, refused to relax COVID-19 restrictions until 70 to 80 percent of the population had been vaccinated at one point in 2021. State governments began requiring COVID-19 vaccines for specific industries in late 2021.

Thousands of people have lost their jobs since then because they refused to receive experimental vaccines, according to some experts.

On March 23, Roberts uploaded a short video of the proceedings from the hearing on his Telegram channel. Roberts swings the camera around the table of MPs in the film, revealing a monitor on which cardiologist and epidemiology Dr. Peter McCullough and others are virtually participating.

“Today at my forum, COVID Questioned,” Roberts said on Telegram, “a major day of presentations being made to Craig Kelly, George Christensen, Gerard Rennick, Stephen Andrew, Alex Antic, and me.”

He turned to the display and stated, “Hearing from Dr Peter McCullough here.”

McCullough is a medical professor and the editor of two medical journals at Texas A&M College of Medicine in Dallas. In a context in which state medical boards have threatened to cancel doctors’ licenses based on the transmission of unidentifiable “misinformation,” he has placed his career on the line to communicate his opinions on the COVID-19 shots.

Following months of public and political opposition to state and federal vaccine mandates, as well as COVID-19 limitations and lockdowns, the inquiry was launched.

COVID-19 limitations were originally enforced on the whole population during outbreaks, and then solely on the unvaccinated. Conservative MPs Christensen and Antic have been vocal in their support for the restoration of liberties.

Both MPs addressed the investigation on Facebook.

On March 23, Christensen stated, “We will be speaking to victims of provisionally-approved medical operations, small businesses, and workers who have been affected by pandemic regulations, medical professionals, and many others.”

On March 23, Antic said on Facebook, “Today I am participating in a cross-party scientific and medical inquiry concerning COVID treatments, mandates, and responses organized by Senator [Malcolm Roberts] along with Senator Gerard Rennick, Craig Kelly, and George Christensen, among others.”

“We’ve heard from pathologists, injured people, company owners, journalists, and doctors like Dr. Peter McCullough.”

On his Telegram channel, Roberts said that recordings of the events will be made available on Friday to uncensored sites.

We live in a peculiar time, in which people will blindly disregard logical explanations for catastrophes such as this one. Additional context and a wider perspective of global politics is needed to make sense of the bold claims we make about these disgusting people. But to defend the credibility of these people while disregarding a logical explanation for the origin of this virus, displays an irrefutable lack of longing for the truth. It would be unwise to go about your life assuming that nobody seeks to see you suffer. Evil exists, and you don’t deter it by ignoring every sign brought to your attention.

The internet has proved to be a place in which you can tune into various frequencies in search of a perspective that best fits your narrative. I could make up an argument on the fly and back it up with facts pertaining to my argument. With that being said, the news about COVID-19 is terrifyingly polarizing. There is a spectrum, by which all narratives of the COVID-19 agenda are carefully presented to anyone conducting research. The opposing sides of the spectrum are those who are sold on the COVID-19 pandemic, and those who aren’t sold at all.

But it becomes extremely important that we listen to our gut, when we notice that someone is eyeballing something that rightfully belongs to you. Our civil liberties are merely gods gift to man interpreted by men of power. No man, woman, government, organization, forum, or anything will prosper as a weapon against God. With that being said, when our God given rights are at stake, it is probably best to question the integrity of those who propose the removal of such rights. In summary, if you’re not a “conspiracy theorist” you probably aren’t asking very many questions about the world around you.

California senators rejected a bill on March 15 that would have eliminated Gov. Gavin Newsom’s emergency powers, which he has been using for almost two years.

The motion, Senate Concurrent Resolution 5, was defeated by eight members of the California Senate Committee on Governmental Organization. There were four members that voted in favor.

If passed, the bill would remove the state of emergency declared by Newsom, a Democrat, on March 4, 2020. As a result, the powers granted by the proclamation would be revoked.

“An open-ended state of emergency with unrestricted powers vested in a chief executive is incompatible with democratic democracy,” the resolution says, adding that “a healthy balance between the legislative and executive branches must be restored.”

Before the vote, state Sen. Melissa Melendez, a Republican who introduced the bill, told colleagues, “It’s time for the state to allow local governments to take the lead and address emergencies locally without the shotgun approach of a statewide emergency,” citing the sharp drop in COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.

Melendez and three other Republican senators voted in favor of the resolution; the eight Democrats who voted against it were all Democrats.

State Senator Benjamin Allen, a Democrat who ended up voting no, said there was “so much that’s compelling about this bill,” but that declaring the emergency over would “hinder our capacity to accomplish a lot that involves battling this pandemic.”

State Senator Bill Dodd, a Democrat who voted against the bill, said that while the drop in COVID-19 metrics was encouraging, “the existing state of emergency declared by the governor is absolutely critical to ensure that the state can quickly and efficiently continue to respond to the COVID 19 pandemic and be prepared for possible future variants and surges.”

Newsom has scheduled 18 of the 63 measures connected to the state of emergency to expire at the end of March and another 15 at the end of June, according to Dodd.

He stated that the other measures are “critical for maintaining government flexibility.”

Newsom’s office did not respond to a request for comment after he survived a recall effort in 2021.

After the vote, Melendez wrote on Twitter that the state legislature’s Democrats are “content to abdicate their responsibilities to the governor.”

“The state of emergency will remain in effect, as will the governor’s authority to close schools and businesses,” she stated.
