Bill Proposed Could Mean Mandatory COVID Vaccines For California School Children.

Under legislation presented Monday, all California school children would be forced to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The Keep Schools Open and Safe Act, as proposed, would eliminate a personal belief exemption from school-based COVID-19 immunization requirements. During a press conference at a Los Angeles school, state Senator Richard Pan, a Democrat, introduced the bill. A pediatrician, Pan, argues the law is necessary to ensure that youngsters receive an education. “Families across the state and country have faced disruption, anxiety, and trauma from this pandemic for now almost two years. Confidence and certainty are things we all long for, ” said Pan, who represents sections of Sacramento and Yolo counties.
