The administration of socialist President Luis Arce abolished the necessity of proof of CCP virus vaccination to access any public establishment or place of business on Jan. 19. Jeyson Auza, the minister of health, made the announcement. On December 28, officials from the Movement for Socialism released the original “supreme decrees” 4640 and 4641, which sparked widespread protests and legal challenges in the cities of Santa Cruz, La Paz, Cochabamba, El Alto, and Sucre.
