Beginning Jan. 15, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu announced that COVID-19 vaccination proof will be required to attend most indoor businesses and venues. Workers in those firms and venues will also be required to receive the vaccine, according to Wu, a Democrat. According to the city, those entering restaurants, bars, nightclubs, movie theaters, fitness centers, concerts, sports arenas, museums, and other entertainment facilities will be required to present proof of a vaccine passport, such as a vaccination card, digital image of a vaccination card, or another vaccination record, as well as a verification app. Businesses that are subject to Wu’s regulation will be required to publish a notice about the vaccine obligation.
