In the first chapter of Joshua we see Israel preparing to cross the Jordan and enter the promised land. We read how Joshua was told by God to lead the children of Israel into the land that was promised to their fathers. And that the people were to now receive their instructions from Joshua. As Joshua instructed them then, so we now receive our instruction from Holy Spirit. Just as it was then, neither do we listen to the voices of the world. This is why the truly saved are not deceived by every wind of doctrine. But, are stable in ALL our ways. Trusting God in everything. If you do then you must also believe that His forgiveness is given as freely as He tells us to forgive. Because to forgive is an expression of His love. Edward O’Hara… Is the whole world experiencing peace and safety? Or is there turmoil and insecurity? No doubt there is the latter. But, Paul gives us great hope in these last days. He gives instruction in 1Thes.5:3 that says the world will be saying peace and safety just before sudden destruction. So what is really going on? Jesus said in Mt.24:37 that as it was in the days of Noah so it shall be at the time of the coming of the Son of man. Jesus also made a similar statement regarding the days of Lot in Luke17:28. Edward O’Hara That’s what our Bible tells us in 1Peter2:2,3. “Desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby. If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious”. Think about this for a moment. This means that the believer’s initial and subsequent growth must begin with and have as it’s foundation the sincere milk of the word. This shows how very important it is that we hear the truth about salvation and all that is linked to it right from the start to insure that the growth we experience in all the areas the scriptures teach us about is based on solid Biblical truth.
