CDC Claims Americans That Received J&J Vaccine Need MRNA Booster. Ensuring Experimental Spike Protein Injection.

Americans who were given a single-shot of Johnson & Johnson’s According to new CDC statistics released Tuesday, persons who received a COVID-19 vaccine are less protected against serious illness and hospitalizations than those who received an mRNA vaccine, and should consider getting a booster dose of either Pfizer’s or Moderna’s vaccine.

The information comes from a CDC analysis that looked at 80,287 emergency department and urgent care visits in ten states between December 16, 2021, and March 7, 2022, when the highly transmissible omicron strain was prominent.

One Johnson & Johnson dose was shown to be 24% effective in reducing virus-related visits to the emergency room or urgent care, while two Johnson & Johnson doses were 54% effective, compared to 79 percent after one Johnson & Johnson dose and one dose of either of the mRNA vaccines.

According to the researchers, three mRNA vaccine doses were 83 percent effective in avoiding virus-related ER or urgent care visits.

Based on data from 25,244 hospitalizations among patients with COVID-like illness, the researchers discovered that two Johnson & Johnson doses were 67 percent effective at preventing virus-related hospitalization, compared to 78 percent after one Johnson & Johnson dose and one dose of either of the mRNA vaccines.

According to the CDC, three mRNA vaccination doses were 90 percent effective in reducing hospitalizations.

In order to be better protected against COVID-19, the CDC recommends that patients mix and match vaccination kinds based on the data.

The recommendation comes “in view of the risks for uncommon but major side effects following receipt of a Janssen vaccination, including as thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome and Guillain-Barré syndrome,” according to the researchers.

Guillain-Barré syndrome is an uncommon but serious autoimmune condition that can lead to paralysis. It arises when the immune system attacks the nerves, resulting in muscle weakness.

Researchers noted, “These data highlight the necessity of getting recommended COVID-19 booster dosages, when eligible, to prevent moderate to severe COVID-19 during Omicron variant predominance.”

Adults who received a Janssen vaccination as their initial dose should receive a heterologous mRNA vaccine booster dose 2 months later, or a homologous Janssen vaccine booster dosage if mRNA vaccine is contraindicated or unavailable, according to the researchers.

However, the researchers noted that their findings had limitations, including the fact that the study was conducted over a short period of time and only entailed monitoring patients for a maximum of 120 days.

“As a result, the observed efficacy of these techniques is restricted to a relatively short period following immunization,” the researchers stated.

Furthermore, the small number of study participants who received Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine “reduced the precision of VE estimates across both primary series and booster strategy groups,” making it difficult to break down vaccine effectiveness by demographic factors like age and race, or assess for potential effect modification due to underlying conditions like immunocompromise.

“Third, while adjustments were made to account for differences between unvaccinated and vaccinated people, they did not account for variations between people who were vaccinated using various procedures,” the researchers stated.

The CDC changed its advice for adults who had Johnson & Johnson’s vaccination and booster at least four months ago to have a second booster dose of either Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna shots on the same day the study was released.

The Food and Drug Administration also gave emergency approval for a second mRNA vaccination booster dose for all Americans aged 50 and over, as well as severely immunocompromised patients over the age of 12.

According to a new study, the increased protection from a second booster shot of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine against viral infection swiftly faded.

Following the introduction of the Omicron version of SARS-CoV-2, also known as the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, people receiving three doses have seen their protection against infection decline significantly.

In January, Israeli regulators approved a fourth dose, or second booster, of Pfizer’s vaccine.

While protection against infection increased after the fourth dose, peaking at 64 percent in the third week, it quickly fell after that, falling to 29 percent by the tenth week, according to Israeli researchers.

“It indicates that the fourth dose’s potency wanes sooner, corresponding to the fact that the third dose wants sooner than the second dose,” they said in the preprint report.

On March 15, Pfizer and BioNTech petitioned US authorities to approve second boosts for all elderly adults. The proposal was based on Israeli statistics, according to which the second shot reduces infection rates.

Researchers from Maccabi Healthcare Services and Yale School of Public Health analyzed data from the services’ database, which includes data on around 2.5 million people, or nearly a fifth of Israel’s population.

Individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 before the start of the study period, or Jan. 10, and those who joined the database after March 2020 were excluded from the analysis.

Researchers counted how many people tested positive for COVID-19 seven days or more after receiving the vaccination, as well as how many people were hospitalized or died as a result of their infections despite being vaccinated.

Researchers discovered that there was little protection against infection. They also discovered that while the protection against severe sickness did not decline significantly, the protection against hospitalization from the third dose was already high.

The study’s limitations include researchers just looked at 10 weeks of data, which was funded by Maccabi.

In a separate Israeli study published in March, even worse findings were seen among young healthcare workers.

A total of 274 workers were given a fourth dose. Vaccine protection against infection was 30 percent among individuals who had Pfizer’s injection, but only 11 percent among those who received an extra Moderna dose.

Both groups were predicted to have a higher level of protection against symptomatic disease, although it was still less than 50%.

The researchers were unable to calculate the level of protection against serious illness.

In April, US officials will engage with an advisory council to determine whether extra boosters are required.
