The Bible also speaks strongly against sexual sin. Sex is a gift given by God meant for marriage. Sexual perversion of all kinds is soundly condemned. Sexually assaulting a child is never justifiable; it is always wrong.

Jesus used a child to teach His disciples that childlike faith is necessary for entrance into the kingdom of heaven. At the same time, He said that the Father has concern for all of His “little ones” (Matthew 18:1–14). In that passage, Jesus says, “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthew 18:6, KJV). The word offend in the Greek means “to cause one to stumble, to put a stumbling block or impediment in the way, upon which another may trip and fall, to entice to sin, or to cause a person to begin to distrust and desert one whom he ought to trust and obey.”

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Agents arrested an Albuquerque foster parent Wednesday after he allegedly agreed to trade drugs and cash for sex with a 13-year-old girl during an undercover sting, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

Joshua Saavedra, 45, is charged with child solicitation by electronic communication device, trafficking controlled substances and sexual exploitation of children by prostitution.

“Special agents conducted an undercover chat operation, in which an agent posed as a mother offering her fictional child for sex,” AG spokesman David Carl said. “Saavedra met at a predetermined location, where he was apprehended and taken into custody.”

After his arrest, Saavedra told agents he met the mother and daughter in an attempt to rescue the child from an abusive situation as he is a foster parent himself.

Agents discovered he has fostered 18 children over the past decade, and currently has three children, and one foster child, between the ages of 2 and 10 years old.

New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department spokesman Tripp Stelnicki could confirm the arrest, but no other details. He said CYFD has removed the children from Saavedra’s home and is working with the AG’s office in the investigation.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Metropolitan Court, on March 13, the AG’s Office started an undercover chat operation to target child predators on the website MeetMe.com.

Agents say an undercover agent posed as a mother selling her 13-year-old daughter, and Saavedra contacted them soon after asking about prices and possible services.

According to the complaint, Saavedra asked for the girl’s “stats” and said he was okay with her age “depending on how she looks.”

After hearing of the girl’s description, agents say Saavedra texted back “sounds very nice!” before detailing various sexual acts he wished to do with the girl and talking over prices.

According to the complaint, on Wednesday, Saavedra agreed to pay $20 and drugs before arranging to meet at the Econolodge Hotel, near Central and Interstate 25.

When Saavedra arrived, agents arrested him, and found the cash and pills – painkillers and uppers – in his pocket.

Saavedra told agents he did not plan on having sex with the girl and was planning to report the abuse to CYFD. When asked why he didn’t call law enforcement, Saavedra said he needed to “see it for himself.”

“Saavedra stated he knew the signs of abuse because he is a foster parent and has had several girls who have been sexually abused stay with him,” an agent wrote.Source

Child will remain in home after foster parent’s arrest

Joshua Saavedra (MDC)ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The foster child of a man busted in a child sex sting will not be removed from the suspect’s home, according to the New Mexico Children Youth and Families Department.

CYFD spokesman Tripp Stelnicki said Thursday that the department planned to remove the foster child when Joshua Saavedra, 45, was arrested Wednesday. CYFD decided against it after doing a wellness check and determining that Saavedra would no longer be living there.

Saavedra is currently behind bars on charges of child solicitation by electronic communication device, trafficking controlled substances and sexual exploitation of children by prostitution.

Agents with the Attorney General’s Officer arrested Saavedra after he allegedly tried to trade drugs and cash for sex with a 13-year-old girl during an undercover operation.

Saavedra has a detention hearing in District Court on Monday that will determine whether he will stay behind bars until his trial.

Justice is a word that stands alone, adding anything to it demeans it….

It is impossible to find anyone in the Bible who was a power for God who did not have enemies and was not hated.

Children are being misplaced or lost in our foster care system, we must demand more openness and accountability from each state.

“It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills. Let me tell you something, friend, it is not love and it is not friendship if we fail to declare the whole counsel of God. It is better to be hated for telling the truth, than to be loved for telling a lie. It is impossible to find anyone in the Bible who was a power for God who did not have enemies and was not hated. It’s better to stand alone with the truth, then to be wrong with a multitude. It is better to ultimately succeed with the truth than to temporarily succeed with a lie. There is only one Gospel and Paul said, ‘If any man preaches any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
