PREPARING ‘CHURCHIANITY’ TO BE STRONGLY DELUDED…

Edward O’Hara…

In 2Thes.2 Paul is teaching the church about the great falling away and the coming of the “man of sin”. In it Paul says that the great falling away is caused by a strong delusion that comes upon those who were in the church. And that this strong delusion is for those in the church that have never come to a love of the truth. So it is these who are sent this strong delusion. It is for those who believed they have come to a love for the truth but never did. Because instead they allowed themselves to be deceived by Satan through false teachers and wound up joining themselves to a false religion that called itself Christianity but was not Christianity at all. So this passage is not speaking of a delusion that happens to those who never gave a second thought to the things of God. It is not referring to those who never had a religious experience. It is speaking of those who had a religious experience that they were deceived to believe was Christianity. But, it was actually a doctrine of the tares growing in among the wheat that deceived them and kept them from ever coming to a love of the truth. The truth Paul is referring to that these “never loved” pertains to the foundational doctrines of the faith regarding who God is, who Jesus is, and what the atonement was for. The very foundations that true Christianity is built upon. The doctrines “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone” as Paul taught in Eph.2:20. Paul said a perversion of these, a perversion of his gospel, makes one anathema or damned to hell in Gal.1:8,9. This is why Paul said to “examine yourselves to see whether you be in the faith” in 2Cor.13:5. And that’s what we will do now in this message.

false teachers | A Kingdom Year

We can see what this false teaching is that deceives so many that there is a great falling away in what John spoke of concerning the spirit of antichrist that was a forerunner to the antichrist that they had heard “is to come” in 1John4:1-3. This is the same “man of sin” that Paul is teaching about in 2Thes.2. Paul said of his coming that it would be accompanied by a great falling away. And John spoke of that spirit that is of the antichrist that shall come that causes the great falling away as being one that teaches that Jesus did not come in the same flesh all men have. In this passage, John wrote; “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”And guess what? This just happens to be the central foundational doctrine in all of the Roman Catholic and evangelical protestant religions. How so you might ask? Well, I’m glad you asked. Because they have believed and taught that Jesus could not have come in the same flesh all men have because to do so would mean God who is sinlessly pure would have to live in a body that is evil. Roman Catholics teach that Jesus was born of a virgin and that she was sinless because that way His flesh would not be the same flesh all men have so that Jesus would not have a sinful nature. Because to them then He would need a savior for the same reason they believe all men do. And evangelical protestants teach something very similar in that to them Jesus was born of a virgin to avoid having the sin nature because the sin nature only passes through the father. So with this twist, so that creates a different Jesus He would not have the same flesh all men have. And for them, this solves the problem of Jesus having a sinful nature. Because to them just as to the Roman Catholics, if Jesus did have a sinful nature then He would have needed a savior as much as any man.

The Spirit of the Anti-Christ Takes Over the World - YouTube

Can you see how these both have believed the doctrine that John said was of the spirit of antichrist? And the subtlety with which satan has brought them to believe this spirit of antichrist? Because of this both have already been well established in the strong delusion that is to come? By believing false doctrines about the flesh being evil because it is “stained with the sin of Adam”. And that the flesh is evil because it has a “sin nature” that they believe they inherited from Adam. Because they believe Adam’s changed from a godly nature to a sinful nature when he sinned. A belief that stems from the Gnostic belief that the material world is evil and Adam’s sin is used to bolster that belief. To put it bluntly, and I hate that this is true, but it can only be concluded that because these religions have adopted these Gnostic doctrines as the foundation for all that they believe, they are of the spirit of antichrist that John preached against. And do not know the Jesus of the Bible or have the love for the truth. John not only taught this in 1John. But, also in 2John saying; “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

What is this “doctrine of Christ” that John speaks of here? We find this in Heb.2:14,15 that says, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

And in Phil.2:5-8 where Paul says,

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

So we see that the doctrine of Christ that John was referring to is the doctrine that all true believers in Jesus must believe. The doctrine that says that Jesus came in the same flesh all men have. And to believe otherwise is to be deceived by the spirit of antichrist. By rejecting the fact that Jesus came in the same flesh all men have, as these and other scriptures plainly say He did, they have already been groomed for the strong delusion that is to come by the spirit of antichrist and the “man of sin” that is to come. This damnable heresy is the reason these have not come to a love of the truth. Because sadly they have already been deceived to believe the doctrine that becomes the strong delusion that causes all who loved not the truth to be damned. While all along believing that they have come to know and love the truth.

This begs the question: If you were deceived would you know it? Probably not. But, you can know if you will examine yourself to see whether you be in the faith as Paul instructed. This is done by comparing what you have believed against the plain language of the word of God. Here’s one for you; Paul says in Rom.5:12-14 that the sins before the law came through Moses were not imputed to anyone. Do you believe you are guilty of Adam’s sin? Do you believe Adam’s sin was imputed to you and this is why Jesus had to die to pay the penalty for that sin so you would not have to? Then you have been deceived. See how easy that is? All you need to do is believe what the word of God plainly says.

If you will hear God’s voice and turn from this damnable heresy. And believe in the Biblical that Jesus that came in the same flesh all men have. A flesh that had to be the same flesh all men have to be able to die a man’s death. So that by entering into death with all of mankind, as only one who has the same flesh that all mankind has can do. It is then that He conquers death for you by His resurrection to provide you with eternal life.
Have you believed in Jesus? Do you believe that Jesus came in the same flesh all men have? So that by entering into death with all men He could conquer death by His resurrection? My fervent prayer is that you have.

If you are reading this God is calling you. He loves you and wants you to know Him. Because knowing Him is eternal life.John17:3. So if you do not know Him please take the time right now to pray and confess Jesus as Lord of your life. And believe that He has raised from the dead. If you do believe in Him then pray something like this and you will be saved: Dear Jesus, I believe you. Thank you for joining with me in death so that by conquering death by your resurrection I could join with you in life. Thank you that you raised from the dead so that I could raise from the dead too by trusting in, clinging to, and relying solely on you. Thank you for giving me a new spirit now Lord so that I can live with you in heaven forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.

By praying a prayer similar to this one and really meaning it from your heart you will be saved from death to life. From sin to righteousness. And from the wrath to peace with God. Now when you begin reading the Bible and believing what it plainly says it will begin to change the way you think and believe. Because when you trust in Jesus you leave the old life behind where you were only able to relate to and trust in what has been made. And now will be equipped for heaven because you are no longer only natural flesh and blood, but are made a spiritual being ready to inherit God’s spiritual kingdom called heaven. It is because of Jesus’ resurrection that He is the only WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. Because only Jesus has broken through the wall of death that the flesh and blood natural body can never get through. Only by the new birth are we made ready to receive the spiritual body that can go through the wall of death as Jesus’ did first.

God Bless!

There are numerous pathetic souls who, though they have not severed formal fellowship ties with a local church, nonetheless are so spiritually apathetic as to be practical enemies of the Lord.

John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”

    • Edward O'Hara on May 12, 2021 at 8:14 am

Amen to that Patrick. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to reprove the world of one sin. “They believe not on me”. John16:9. We who have the Holy Spirit in us are sent to the world to tell them the same thing. And that God is not imputing their trespasses to them. 2Cor.5:19.

The doctrine of original sin forces those who have been deceived by it to preach a different gospel(Gal.1:5-9). One that brings condemnation for the bad things a person might have done. Saying that this is why Jesus came. Instead of the Biblical admonition that He came not into the world to condemn the world. But that the world might be saved through faith in Him. John3:17

Well, your page didn’t have a “reply” option for your last response to me, so I’m posting here. It must have run out permitted responses.
And now the Lord GOD and His Spirit Have sent Me. (Isaiah 48:16) Is a nice Scripture to demonstrate the Triune God (Father, Holy Spirit and Son respectively). . But your idea that the “soul” is just a bunch of neurons firing limits the soul to the “brain”. If that were all the soul was…we’d all be identical in our preferences, behavior, talents etc…but God has given us all different personalities and challenges. The “nephesh” of which the psalmist refers to in Ps 116:7, 119:25, 119:81 and elsewhere. It is the uniquely “human experience”. The soul also is the seat of emotions, the personality and the will. I do not equate soul with flesh or spirit.. The human spirit is the means by which we commune with God. Where the Holy Spirit is able to “make His abode” when we are born anew.

Sin is not imputed to man apart from the law…and if we are in Christ, we are in that blessed condition. It doesn’t mean that before Jesus came, all gentiles went to heaven and only the Jews had to obey the Law. If that were the case God wouldn’t have flooded the world or destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. But now that we are in Christ, we are living under another law…the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. In Christ we have liberty because His Spirit rules in our hearts. Our conscience being sensitive to His still small voice.

What happened to the gentiles before Jesus came? We can only speculate that perhaps these were those whom Jesus preached to during the period of His crucifixion and his resurrection. We do know the king, in the parable Jesus told, that didn’t show compassion to the beggar Lazarus was not in Abraham’s bosom, but in a very dry place where his thirst could not be quenched, so God had some criteria for gentiles. But I’m curious, have you ever had conviction of sin before becoming a Christian? An inner struggle with your “self” as described in Romans 7? I’ve been a student of Scripture for over 35 years and have never heard any Christian state that they believed they were without sin before coming to Christ. It seems pretty clear to me that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. That He made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin, to become sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

    • Edward O'Hara on June 26, 2020 at 11:24 am

      DJ,
Your method for determining what the soul is shows your dependence on man’s wisdom. God says a living soul is a body with air breathing in and out of it’s lungs.

No one except Israel after Moses and before Jesus have ever been under the law.
“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world”. Gentiles have only ever been subject to one thing that determined their readiness for heaven. That is whether or not they trust in the true God that they can see in His creation(Rom.1). This is why Paul taught in Acts17:30 that in the times of this ignorance God winked at sin. We need not speculate about what happened to Gentiles before Jesus came. Paul says plainly in Rom.1 that if they trusted in God as Creator they would be saved. If they did not they would not be saved. But, were given over to a reprobate mind.

Rom.7 is not a description of a man struggling in himself over being bad or good. It is a description of the Israelite who attempts to remain joined to the law and to Christ at the same time(vs.1-4). When he remains joined to the law he becomes the “wretched man” that needs deliverance from the law so he is free to marry another. Even He who has raised from the dead(vs.4). The sin the Israelite in Rom.7 is experiencing is his idolatry of the law. Because he has made it’s adherence his means for righteousness. When righteousness unto eternal life has always been by faith as we see in the other part of the Old Covenant God had with Israel through Abraham. But, Paul gives them the way out of this wretchedness when he writes in Rom.8:2 that the Spirit of life that is in Christ Jesus will set them free from the law of sin and death. The law given through Moses.

Your err in your comprehension. Sin is not imputed does not mean being without sin. Not imputed means that a person is not held accountable by God for sins he committed. Jesus plainly said in John16:9 that the sin the Holy Spirit would reprove the world of for salvation is “They believe not on me”. Guilt and shame are tools of satan and religious people to keep men from a saving faith in Jesus. They are not tools that lead them to Him. Proof of this is seen in the message those who use these tools when “witnessing” to unbelievers. A message that brings men to believe that the reason they are going to hell is that they are bad. A message that makes works the reason they are not saved. And works, albeit the works of Christ, the reason one is saved. But, Paul makes it clear in Gal.2:16,20 it doesn’t matter who we say does the works. If we believe works are what saves us we have believed in a gospel that preaches the opposite from Paul’s message of grace. Because he taught if by grace then it can not be by works. Otherwise grace is no more grace. Rom.11:5,6. No matter who we say does them.

Rom.3:23- “All have sinned(missed the mark which is Jesus) and fall short of(need or lack) the glory(presence) of God”. This verse then is consistent with what Jesus said in John16:9 and Paul’s preaching. That the sin of the world that Jesus came to “take away” is “They believe not on me”. Only a saving faith in Jesus can do this because Jesus is the only way, truth, and life.

    • DJ on June 26, 2020 at 5:26 pm

I agree that the devil uses guilt and shame to bind people. But I agree with the clear teachings of Scripture. I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures…(1Cor.15:1-4)
If you believe that there was no sin in your life before coming to Christ, and you’ve never had the conviction of sin…well….good for you! You didn’t even need Christ to shed His blood for you…just a mental assent to a belief that Christ is the Son of God. Why the apostle Paul would tell gentiles of an inner turmoil that they couldn’t possibly relate to since they were lawless and apparently on their way to eternal paradise as it was…doesn’t make much sense to me.
From what you’ve written, I’m not sure whether you are born again or regenerate. You keep saying I “was taught this…”
No, as I’ve mentioned I’ve been a student of the Scripture (self study) for over 35 years. While I’d attend a Bible study here and there for fellowship, and then in 2012 got a BA in Practical Theology, i wasn’t taught this by any man. I am a born again/regenerate believer and depend upon the Holy Spirit who dwells in me to lead and guide me into all truth. The fact that other born again believers have come to the same understanding, is a testament of the Spirit of Truth teaching others. I don’t know if you’ve had some Bible Thumping fanatics hammering you with guilt and shame, and that is why you throw out the idea that Jesus made atonement with His blood to cleanse you of sin…but you seem pretty convinced that every other believer has it wrong, and that it wasn’t necessary for Jesus to die for your sins, because you didn’t have any and were on your way to heaven with or without Him.
Personally I’m grateful to God the Father for drawing me to His Son, and cleansing me and joining me to Himself through Christ. My baptism a testimony of my death to the old man, buried, and raised in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It’s kind of like you’re reading Scripture like just a philosophy. The publican and the Pharisee parable comes to mind….the publican cried out “Lord have mercy on me, a sinner” and he was more righteous than the Pharisee who couldn’t see his sin. But Scripture also says not to engage in back and forth more than a few times with someone who has heretical views (don’t take that personal, I’m sure you’re a fine gentleman) but the doctrine is a bit off. Maybe sin wasn’t imputed, but all ended up dying in their sins. Only the blood of Jesus can cleanse us from sin and make us a vessel worthy for His Holy Spirit to indwell. I don’t see any need to continue this discussion since you’re convinced in your understanding of the Word of God, and Scripture plainly tells us to limit these sort of disagreements. (See Titus 3:10) but I wish you the best.

      • Edward O'Hara on June 29, 2020 at 11:29 pm

        Dj,
Unless you too were trained in gnosticism, and brought that thinking into your study of the Bible, then you were taught to believe that men are born with a sin nature and have inherited the original sin of Adam. Because the Bib le never teaches anything even remotely like that false teaching. In fact, the Bible teaches exactly the opposite.

Ezekiel says that the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father(Ez.18:20). Paul taught that Adam’s or any man’s sin before Moses sin was not imputed to anyone until those Israelites who came after Moses(Rom.5:12-14). Yet you have chosen to believe that Adam’s sin was imputed to all mankind because all men were “in his loins” and as such are sons who do bear the iniquity of their father. The opposite from what these scriptures plainly say. The only way for you to reach such a false conclusion after reading what Ezekiel and Paul both plainly taught is to have been taught to believe it before you knew any better. And now you blindly read that false teaching into the scriptures in your “Bible studies”. You must unlearn what you have learned.

Oh, and I never said men do not sin. Or even that I never sinned. I said that sin is not imputed when there is no law. And since Jesus died and rose from the grave the law has been “taken away”(Heb.10:9) and He has “established” the New Covenant in it’s place. A Covenant of grace where there is no law(Rom.6:14). If the law is part of your relationship with Jesus then you are not saved, regenerate, or any other word you want to use to define your current state. Rom.7:1-4 makes that abundantly clear. The naughty/nice Santa Claus religion that preaches the doctrines of sin nature and original sin that so many adhere to is the tool of the spirit of antichrist to make men religious while keeping them unsaved(2Tim.3:5). It’s truly sad that someone can read and “study” the Bible for so long and never come to a saving faith. But, that’s what happens when we do not believe the plain language in the Bible.

People have to be careful with semantics. Sometimes they believe the same thing, but because they use a word “loosely” which has a particular meaning to them, means something different to another person. We understand being born “in the flesh“ having 2 meanings. One is the material (flesh/bones/blood vessels etc..) one is the immaterial (soul/personality/ego/the carnal nature)
the material flesh itself, is just a vessel…it has no capacity to sin…and without a soul…it just lays there lifeless. It becomes a “living soul” when God puts a soul in it. The combination of the material flesh and the soul without regeneration, is considered the “carnal nature”. It is driven to its own egocentric wants and needs.
Before the Law of God was introduced, the carnal man could live a relatively peaceful life without any sense of guilt and be considered “blameless” because where there is no law…there cannot be a breaking of the law. He lived by natural laws (the observation of natural behavior) male +female = baby etc…any perversions of natural law, would register a sense of wrong doing…if he has “the fear of God” in him….but when the Law was given, man became more aware of his sinful inclinations and this made him aware of his need for a remedy for his failures that were until then, unknown to him. Guilt and shame were binding him. I’d be careful of calling anyone deceived by the antichrist spirit when the problem seems to be more of semantics and a misunderstanding in the use of certain terms. It’s better to differentiate the term “flesh” in the way that you mean to intend. This is likely why legal documents go to great efforts to define their terms before introducing their laws. I’ve read many books criticizing a specific doctrine only to come to the conclusion that the critique is based on a different understanding of the terms used, and not the doctrinal position as intended by the theologian.

    • Edward O'Hara on June 24, 2020 at 10:37 am

      DJ,
It’s not semantics. It’s the plain teaching in the word of God. God says that a living soul is a body with air in it’s lungs(Gen.2:7). This is where the natural God given desires reside. And is where the “capacity” to do either good or evil is found. Because in Gen.1:26 and following we see this living soul, a body with air in it’s lungs, was given free will and dominion. And accordingly men choose either good or evil.

The change that resulted when the law was given was that sin was now imputed to them by God(Rom.5:12-14). Whereas it had never been imputed to them by God before. This brought the penalty for sin. And a penalty of death for capital crimes. Which is why Adam’s sin that resulted in death passing to all men could not have been a penalty or curse. Because sin is only imputed when there is law. And Paul says there was no law from Adam to Moses.

The antichrist spirit wants men to believe that because the flesh is evil Jesus could not have come in the same flesh all men have. This antichrist doctrine referenced in 1John4:1-3 and 2John1;7-11 is taught as truth in all of Roman Catholicism and protestantism. This is why I am trying to show these who have believed this false doctrine that they “oppose themselves”(2Tim.2:25,26) by believing the spirit of antichrist. In the hope that they can be delivered from the captivity of the devil. By being delivered from the naughty/nice Santa Claus religion of antichrist to believing Paul’s gospel and be saved. Because Jesus did not die to make bad people good. He died to free people from death so they could have eternal life. Semantics is not the problem here. The spirit of antichrist doctrine that so many have been deceived by is.

We must try to understand the mystery of the Incarnation:
What role did the Word (who became flesh, John 1:14) play?
What role did the Holy Spirit (who conceived the Child, Matthew 1:20) play?
Did both “play the role of” Jesus’ Father, or what?
IMO, several years ago, the Lord gave me a heads-up on 1 John 4:2
and 2 John 7 … this was Christian code language back in
the days of the Romans for: “GOD has come in the flesh”!

    • Edward O'Hara on June 23, 2020 at 6:28 pm

What John was addressing in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John was the docetist’s Gnostic teachings that said that because the flesh is evil God who is sinlessly pure could not inhabit a body of flesh. It was because of this false Gnostic doctrine that sin in the flesh required no confession because the flesh is evil and has no bearing on the spirit, that John taught them they needed to confess their sins when they came to faith in Jesus. So that they would be “cleansed from all unrighteousness”.1John1:9.

And it was this same teaching about the flesh being evil, this time coming from the manecheans, that was adopted by Augustine. The doctor of theology for the rcc. A doctrine that has since become the reasoning employed by both rc’s and protestants for Jesus’ not coming in the same flesh all men have. So it is this doctrine that John was referring to when he said it was “of the spirit of antichrist”.

It was considered by the apostles to be of the spirit of antichrist because it rejected the Biblical doctrine that John called “the doctrine of Christ” in 2John that we also find in Heb.2:14. Where it says “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil”. And Jesus’ flesh was the same as all men’s in every possible way to insure that “He was tempted in all points just as we are” as Heb.4:15 says He was. The “yet without sin” in the verse expresses the fact that He always and at all times during His incarnation trusted in the Father.

We must try to understand the mystery of the Incarnation:
What role did the Word (who became flesh, John 1:14) play?
What role did the Holy Spirit (who conceived the Child, Matthew 1:20) play?
Did both “play the role of” Jesus’ Father, or what?

John 11:25, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”

I’ll tell you who the spirit of the Antichrist in-dwells, he lives in all those who deny the absolute sinless nature of our Lord and Savior! He was the lamb without blemish (sin) who gave His life a ransom for many! Adam, created in perfection, died physically and spiritually. His spiritual death has been passed on to ALL humankind, EXCEPT JESUS, whose father was the Holy Spirit of God!! He had to be spiritually pure and perfect as the ultimate sacrifice for OUR sins… only His sinless shed blood could satisfy God’s requirement for a perfect sacrifice, without blemish!! To say Jesus had (or has) a sin nature is straight from the pit of hell and IF you truly believe Jesus was somehow “impure”, then you are still living in your sins and NOT a true follower of His!!! You will die in your sins if you don’t repent of this heresy!

    • Edward O'Hara on June 23, 2020 at 3:31 pm

      Rafo,
I’m sorry you have been deceived. But, it’s a very simple fix. Just believe what the Bible plainly says about Jesus. I am not saying Jesus had a sinful nature. I am saying that no one has ever had a sinful nature. Because there is no such thing. Paul said in 1Cor.15:45-50 that all men are the same when they are born as Adam was when God made him. And you yourself said Adam was made perfect. Adam was not however spiritual in any sense of the word. He was natural when he was made. Of the earth earthy. Flesh and blood. Just as Paul said he was in 1Cor.15:45-50.

Jesus was sinless because He always trusted in the Father. But, there is no scripture that says those who deny that Jesus was sinless are of the antichrist. Even though the Bible is clear that He was sinless. The test John gives for being of the spirit of antichrist is whether or not one believes that Jesus came in the same flesh all men have. And you don’t believe that He did, do you? Because you believe He could not have come in the same flesh all men have because the flesh is evil. That is by definition the doctrine of antichrist John spoke of in 1John4:1-3 and 2John1:7-11. So it is in fact your doctrine that has met the requirements the Bible gives for being of the spirit of antichrist. Not mine. Because I believe Jesus came in the same flesh all men have just as Heb.2:14 plainly says. As long as you believe the false sin nature doctrine you will be captive by the devil at his will. Continually opposing yourself as Paul said in 2Tim.2:25,26.

      Even so… Maranatha!!

  6. Edwitness on June 23, 2020 at 11:38 am

Thank you. The flesh minds only the things it needs. It can not mind the things of the Spirit. Not because it is bad or evil. But, because it is only flesh and not spirit. This is why we must be born again. Because only by the Spirit birth are we made spiritual beings who are able to mind the things of the spirit. Until then we are only natural as Adam was when God made him.

The ‘falling away” in 2Thes2 you refer to is not correct…you are deceived out of the gate….https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/pretrib_arch/82/

    • Edward O'Hara on June 23, 2020 at 12:15 pm

I have heard that explanation of 2Thes.2:3 before and do not subscribe to it specifically because of the context of 2Thes.2. And because the word Paul used in 2Thes.2:3 means the same thing as the word used in Heb.4:11 and 6:6. Paul speaks in 2Thes.2 of the coming of the man of sin. The lawless one. And of what holds him back which is the true church. And that when the true church is taken out of the way there will come a strong delusion that deceives those who loved not the truth. Not a “caught up” as is referenced in 1Thes.4.

And this strong delusion has been being set up for centuries by the antichrist spirit that John spoke of in 1John4:1-3 and 2John1:7-11. A spirit that teaches that Jesus could not have come in the same flesh all men have because the flesh is evil. Something that has been taught in all cults like the rcc and protestantism since the days of the apostles. A spirit that denies the doctrine of Christ making all who are deceived by it to “hath not God”. Specifically because they would not come to a love for the truth.

The truth that Jesus in fact came in the same flesh all men have just as Heb.2:14 plainly says. Because unles He did come in the same flesh all men have He could not have joined with mankind in his death. And if He did not join with mankind in his death He could not have conquered that death by His resurrection so that all who will trust in Him would have eternal life. Which is why Paul said this is the strong delusion that comes during the Great Trib. Because these would not love the truth.

      Even so… Maranatha!!

2 Thessalonians 2 is about when the rapture of the saints is not. It gives parameters that it cannot be before such and such = the great apostasy and the revealing of the man of lawlessness. Therefore, similar to the Thessalonians question to Paul concerning the dead in Christ – what happens to them at the rapture which he answers in 1 Thes. 4:17-5:3 (yes, please see how Paul ends this explanation that we should not be in the dark about this event). The great apostasy is the covenant Israel makes with the man of lawlessness and the subsequent revealing of the man of lawlessness (Daniel 9:27 “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven’. In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”). The covenant of death as it is referred to occurs at the beginning of the final ‘seven’ – the beginning of the tribulation, and the revealing of the man of lawlessness occurs at the middle of the tribulation. The rapture of the saints CANNOT (I repeat CANNOT) occur until those events occur.

For you to blatantly state that Jesus came in sinful flesh, not sinless, is a grave error. A man that is already on death roll cannot die for another man on death roll. The judge will not allow it. Jesus came in the flesh as Adam originally was (sinless) and then kept every jot and tittle of the law, and as a perfect man, a perfect substitutionary sacrifice, fulfilled His redemptive mission before the judge of the universe (God the Father) and provided the atoning blood that can cover any man’s sinfulness through faith and therefore bring his acquittal before the judge when he is judged at the bema seat judgment. This is why Jesus is called the second Adam. For what the first Adam brought to mankind – sin and its curse of death and separation from God – the second Adam restored to mankind with the sacrificial system of the Old Testament being a shadow of that fulfillment by Christ. Innocent, unblemished sacrifices must be brought to God for forgiveness of sin – something unblemished must die in place of the sinner. That is what Jesus did on the cross.

        • Edward O'Hara on June 24, 2020 at 12:22 am

Paul said that Jesus came in sinful flesh in Rom.8:3. Do you believe Paul? Heb.2:14 says Jesus came in the same flesh all men have. Do you believe Hebrews? Paul also said that the only people who have ever been under the law were Israelites after Moses. He said of the Gentiles in Eph.2:12 “That at that time ye(Gentiles) were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world“. Paul also said in Rom.5:13,14 that until Moses there was no law. And that where there is no law sin is not imputed.

Jesus was not a substitutionary sacrifice because no one can die for one who is already dead(Eph.2:1). So Jesus joined with mankind in our death, not in our place, so that He could conquer death by His resurrection. So that when we trust in Him we have the eternal life that He died to provide for us. This is God’s judgment. Because God’s justice is deliverance from the oppressor satan and death. Just as it was deliverance for Israel from their oppressors as Judges2:16 plainly says. There is no scripture that says that the death that came after Adam sinned was a curse. That is part of the naughty/nice Santa Claus paradigm given to Roman Catholicism and protestantism through the teachings of the false teacher Augustine. If it was a curse then Adam’s sin was imputed to him and all mankind. But, Paul said sin was not imputed until Moses because before that there was no law(Rom.5:13).

The sacrificial system that Jesus’ life and death fulfilled was for the purpose of making it possible for the Old Covenant to pass away for Israel so that they could be established in a New Covenant. So says Heb.9:15 and 10:9. Because as Paul said in Rom.7:1-4, as long as they were under the law they could never be joined with Christ. Since Gentiles were never under the law there was no need for the law to be removed for them. It did however make it possible for the two, both Jew and Gentile, to become “one new man” as Eph.2:15 says.

As far as your assertions about Daniel 9 are concerned you have missed the mark there too. Because the covenant you say is confirmed by antichrist, Paul said was confirmed by Jesus in Gal.3:17. So it is Jesus that caused the sacrifices and oblations to cease in Dan.9:27. And because of the continued sacrifices Israel offered that were a rejection of Jesus’ sacrifice, the overspreading of abominations, God allowed the temple to be destroyed in 70ad. So there is yet only 3 and 1/2 years left for the great trib. Not 7 years. Becasue as Jesus said to Israel- “I have come in my Father’s name and you have not received me(1st 3 and 1/2 years) but another will come in his own name and him you will receive(final 3 and 1/2 years).

You must escape the naughty/nice paradigm and start believing what the Bible plainly says if you ever truly want to know the truth about who God is, who Jesus is, and what the atonement was for.

      • DJ on June 24, 2020 at 8:41 am

He came in the flesh…but He also had the Holy Spirit …because His Father is God. So likeness in material flesh but a triune nature that we do not have until we are born again/regenerate. After the fall…the spirit of man lost communion with God and without the life of God in communion with Man’s spirit, he is born spiritually dead or dormant. His initial master is his physical wants/needs…then his soul (the individual invisible inner man) faces a world of choices. But the world itself is not neutral…it is teaming with all kinds of spiritual entities whose purpose is to draw man away from God and be drawn into sinful pleasures. The soul who has a fear of God, a sense of accountability to Him, finds this life to be a constant struggle. He needs a “Helper”. The “Helper” that was now released by God the Father and Jesus into the world for the children of God. But we must recognize our need for Him, so we cry out to God for His help. Coming to the end of ourselves as in Romans 7.

        • Edward O'Hara on June 24, 2020 at 10:10 am

Jesus’ was not a “triune nature”. He was fully man in the flesh(Heb.2:14) and fully God as a “living Spirit”(1Cor.15:45). With the Holy Spirit upon Him(Luke3:22) just as He came upon the prophets of old.
No man, born again or otherwise, has a “triune nature”. He is a body with air in it’s lungs which is a living soul. And only has a spirit if he is born of the Spirit(John3:4-6). Because man is natural not spiritual, only flesh and blood, just as Adam was when God made him until he is born again(1Cor.15:46).
The soul is the flesh(Gen.2:7, 7:14,15,21,22, 1Cor.15:45-50). And the flesh has natural God given desires that only help mankind relate to the natural world he lives in. God said this is “very good”(Gen.1:31). Adam’s flesh as well as the rest of mankind’s is the same(1Cor.15:45-50). Men are tempted when they are drawn away(James1:13-15) from the natural use to that which is against nature(Rom.1:25,26). This is sin that is “conceived”.
The Holy Spirit leads and guides the believer into all truth(John16:12,13). He reproves the world of one sin. And that sin is “They believe not on me”(John16:9).

In Rom.7 Paul teaches those who know the law(vs.1- Israelites) that if they remain joined to the law they can not be joined to Jesus(vs.1-4). The rest of the chapter is spent teaching them the condition of a man who tries to be joined to both the law and Christ at the same time. And that if he does this it makes him the “wretched man” of vs.24. But, Paul shows them how to be delivered from that condition in Rom.8:2 by teaching them saying “The spirit of life that is in Christ Jesus has delivered me from the law of sin and death”. Rom.7 has nothing to do with the condition of all mankind. It is only for Israelites who are under the law. We find the same thing being taught to Israelites in Heb.6:1-6 where he says that after having experienced all the things of God under the Old Covenant(vs.4,5), and now reject Jesus as their Messiah, they have “crucified to themselves the Son of God afresh”(vs.6).

          Even so… Maranatha!!

          • DJ on June 24, 2020 at 12:08 pm

Do you reject the doctrine of the trinity? God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit all in one?
What do you think makes one man different than another? Breath in his lungs? Who do you think Scrpture refers to as “the inner man”?
Body, soul and spirit = the triune nature of Man who is regenerate. (Otherwise it’s just man+soul/spiritually not alive) Jesus was body (flesh) soul (he had his own personality/ego) and Holy Spirit..In Him was the fullness of God .Fully man (body and soul) and fully God (Holy Spirit) triune…just like God.
As for the condition of mankind…you’ve completely eradicated the need for atonement. Christ died for our sins…1 Cor.15:3) For the transgressions of My people He was stricken…He shall justify many for He shall bear their iniquities…He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors. (Is.53:8,11, 12) so for you there is no atonement? No Justification? No sanctification? Even experience has demonstrated that man is infected with sin. You’ve never had the Romans 7 inner struggle?

          • Edward O'Hara on June 24, 2020 at 2:31 pm

            DJ,
The Godhead as the Bible describes them is made up of three persons. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. No more, no less. And what makes the Godhead one is love as Jesus said in John17:20-23. Not ontology. They 3 are the one Creator God (elohim) and there is no other(Deut.6:4).

The inner man is the thinking part of the flesh that responds to the signals sent to it by the nerve endings in the body. And for the believer the inner man is the spirit of the believer that he received when he was born of the Spirit(John3:4-6) that communes with God(Rom.8:16). A part that those who have not been born of the Holy Spirit do not have. Which is why Paul said “the natural man can not perceive the things of the Spirit”. This is also why Paul said believers are “new creatures in Christ”. The natural man has a body, which is the soul as defined in Gen.2:7. And the born again man has a spirit he receives when he is born again as defined in John3:4-6. Otherwise man is “of the dust” as God said in Gen.3:19. And “of the earth earthy”, “not spiritual but natural”, “flesh and blood” as Paul said in 1Cor.15:45-50. Don’t you believe what your Bible says?

That Christ died for our sins is a reference to 2 things for 2 separate people groups. For the Jew He died to take away sin itself and the imputation of sins that the law in the Old Covenant caused(Heb.9:15). And for the Gentile who was never under the law and never had sins under the law imputed to him, and for the Jew who was under the law, Jesus died to give power to a New Covenant that was made available to them that made the two “one new man”(Eph.2:11-15). So that since Jesus’ death and reurrection the only sin that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit into the world to reprove it of, “They believe not on me”(John16:9), would be taken away when we believe in Him. Purging the conscience from the consciousness of sins the continual sacrifices caused for the Israelite(Heb.10:3). And for turning the Gentile from idols to serve the living and true God(1Thes.1:9).

The reason you can not see this is because you are held captive by the devil at his will(2Tim.2:25,26). Always opposing yourself because you have been deceived by the very antichrist doctrine that this article was written about. The doctrine that has set churchianity up for the strong delusion of the great trib. It is my fervent hope and prayer that as many as have ears to hear will turn from that false doctrine with it’s false Jesus, to a saving faith in the Jesus of the Bible.

            Even so… Maranatha!!

I liked the way you taught that about Jesus being born in the flesh of a sinful woman.

Jesus showed us what He thought of the flesh, He was beaten and then crucified. The flesh does us no good. We are to crucify our flesh and only be filled with Christ.

    Colossians 1:27
To whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory.

    Galatians 2:20
“I I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by FAITH in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

    Romans 8:10
If CHRIST is IN YOU, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Once you have CHRIST IN YOU, you won’t love sin any more. And you wont practice sin anymore. Christ’s Spirit breaks sin off of the true believer who has saving FAITH in GOD and cleanses all defement of sin from the true believer.

    1 Corinthians 6:11
Such were some of you; but you were WASHED, but you were SANCTIFIED, but you were JUSTIFIED in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of GOD.

    Romans 14:17,18
For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but RIGHTEOUSNESS and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by man.

  9. DJ on March 2, 2020 at 8:24 pm

Jesus was the Lamb without blemish. (1Peter1:19) He was “without sin” (Hebrews 4:15). Mary could not have been sinless, because then her parents had to have been sinless, and their parents would have had to be sinless and so on…. Mary has XX chromosomes and a male has XY chromosomes. There are 23 pairs of of chromosomes each pair a combination of mother and father. Mary was of the line of David, and of her chromosome contribution, could have had a good selection of Chromosomes through that family line, made so by the Word of God and obedience of a people chosen by God to be the one from which Messiah would emerge. God, of course, contributed the male chromosomes, and He is the determinant factor that Jesus would be male. The God who spoke creation into being, certainly can handle the genome code that would become the only sinless man born into creation since Adam, and thus has earned the title “the second Adam, the last Man from which a new “species of man” can be born. This is why we “must be born again. We all come into this world through Adam. We who are born again, are given new birth in the Second Adam. The lie of the antichrist is that “Christ” is simply a spiritual Christ. That we are still in the Old Man, the first Adam, thus we are subject to the slavery of the flesh. To say that Jesus Christ had sin, is to deny the clear Scriptural record. He was born in the image of man, as we are born in the image of God. In Him, all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily (Col.2:9)

    • Edwitness on June 23, 2020 at 11:33 am

If either of the parents had a sin nature then Jesus did too. The fact is that the Bible teaches that no one has a sin nature. Becasue Paul taught plainly in 1Cor.15:45-50 that all men are the same when they are born as Adam was when when he was made. Natural not spiritual with no knowledge of good and evil(Gen.3:22). Which means all men are born innocent. Which is why Jesus said regarding children “Of such is the kingdom of God”.

As long as one holds to the naughty/nice paradigm foisted upon the rcc and protestantism by Gnostic deceivers they will not be able to perceive the things of the Spirit(1Cor.2:14). And they will always be under the deception of the antichrist spirit that John spoke against in 1John4:1-3 and 2John1:7-11. I pray that all who have been deceived by that spirit will be delivered by the power of God through believing what His word plainly says.

      Even so… Maranatha!!

      • DJ on June 24, 2020 at 7:45 am

I think you’re confusing the dual application of the word “flesh”. Flesh (skin/muscle/blood vessels etc…) the material…and flesh (natural passions/propensity toward self indulgence). The Gnostics believed all material flesh was evil…but the flesh that has a tendency to sin is not flesh and blood (material) but the natural inclinations of man under the power of the soul. There is a distinction. We enter the world with the material flesh…which is a vessel in which our soul dwells…and are considered “blameless” (not innocent). We then enter human maturity in making choices for ourselves and in this we find our experience to be as Paul describes…what I want to do, I don’t do, the thing that what I don’t want to do, I do….the Romans 7 experience. Our inclinations tend to be self centered. Our motives tend to benefit us in some way. Even in giving, we find we do it because it makes us feel better about ourselves. This internal struggle of wanting to please God and wanting to please self. In this conflict…we cry out to God, because we recognize that we need help! We ask for His Holy Spirit to “save us from this wretched condition”. But we have to come to the end of ourselves before we recognize that in ourselves (without the Holy Spirit) we can never save ourselves. We need the blood of Jesus to cleanse this temple, and have His Holy Spirit take up residence with in us. Now, the power of God is in us, and as we abide in Him, we are able to live a life fully pleasing to God.

        • Edward O'Hara on June 24, 2020 at 9:14 am

There is no Biblical distinction between the flesh and the soul. In fact we see in Gen.2:7 that God tells us plainly that the body with air in it’s lungs is a living soul. And Paul tells us in 1Cor.15:45-48 that this living soul that is the flesh is the same for all who are born since Adam, as Adam’s was when he was made. And in vs.50 Paul says plainly that this “flesh and blood” that Adam was when God made him, and all men are since then, “can not inherit the kingdom of God”.

So it is because men are only natural just like Adam was when God made him(1Cor.15:45,46) that they are not able to inherit God’s spiritual kingdom(vs.50). This was true of Adam when God made him. Just as it is for men today who are not born of the Spirit. This is why men need to be born again(John3:4-6). Not because they are evil and selfish. The naughty/nice paradigm most have been deceived to believe has nothing to do with it. But, it is because what is born of the flesh is only flesh. And only what is born of the Spirit is spirit. And only that which is spiritual can inherit the spiritual kingdom of God. This is why Peter says it was God’s plan to send Jesus from before He made the worlds. And the subsequent need to conquer death is why Jesus had to become a man just like us in every way so that He could die a man’s death. Because only then could He conquer that death for all who will believe in Him by His resurrection.

The natural desires that people have today are the same natural desires that God placed in Adam when He made him. A comparison between Gen.3:6 and 1John2:15-17 proves this. What you describe as “self centered” God describes as “very good” in Gen.1. Because when man does what comes naturally Paul says he does what is written in the law(Rom.2:14). So what comes naturally for all men is not selfishness. But, rather is man doing to others what he would that others do to him. He then is a law unto himself. It is “very good” because God knew it is what is needed for man to relate to and survive in the natural world in which God placed him when He made man.

So the flesh, the living soul, is the same today as it was in the garden when God made them. It has not changed in any way. So it is not because it is evil that the flesh can not inherit God’s kingdom as the Gnostics John rejected taught. But, it is only because it is not spiritual that it can not. The problem was and is that men are natural and not spiritual and therefore unequipped to inherit God’s spiritual kingdom. This is why “Ye must be born again”.

          Even so… Maranatha!!

          • DJ on June 24, 2020 at 10:12 am

I’m concerned with your exegesis of the Scriptures. Adam and Eve disobeyed God. That was “rebellion”. They were driven out of Eden because they had sinned. What had been “very good” was now tainted. A curse was levied against Adam and Eve that came upon all generations that were yet in the “loins” of Adam and Eve. There was a mixture so that of their first 2 children, Cain murdered Abel…certainly that was not “very good”. He murdered Abel because of “envy”…their rebellion is what caused “death”..God Himself warned them. If you believe that humanity’s self centeredness is “good” and that the only reason Jesus came to redeem humanity was not because of sin, but so that He could send the Holy Spirit so we could go to heaven…I’m afraid it is you that has been deceived. It’s a simple equation that if you put 2 self centered people in a room…there is going to be conflicts…that’s not “good”. The Satanic bible’s first law is “do as though wilt”…it’s all self centeredness. Your interpretation of the condition of humanity after the fall, has more similarities with luciferians than Christianity. If you’ve never been convicted of sin, I’m fairly certain that you are not born again. Unless you are a luciferian trying to insinuate their doctrines to mislead followers of Christ, I’d advise you ask God to show you your sin for which Jesus not only died, but was tortured for. If your intentions are for truth, the risen Savior will certainly demonstrate your need for a Savior (not just His Spirit) and why His shed blood was necessary. If we say we have not sinned…we deceived ourselves and the truth is not in us (1Jn 1:8)

          • Edward O'Hara on June 24, 2020 at 11:31 am

Thank you for your concern DJ. But, you needn’t be. Because I have believed Paul when he said “before the law sin was in the world but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses…”(Rom.5:13,14). Do you know what “nevertheless” means? It means that even though the sin of Adam and all who lived before the law was not imputed to them by God they still died. The question then should be why did they still die. Instead of simply discounting what Paul just said and turn to believe falsely that Adam’s sin was imputed so that men were cursed because of what Adam did as you have.

Even under the law men were not cursed because of the sins of their parents. How much less when there is no law? Ezekiel 18:20 says that even under the law “The soul that sinneth it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father. Neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son.” Yet you would have people believe that when there was no law and sin was not imputed, Adam’s sin was not only imputed to himself, but it was imputed to all mankind. This makes what you have believed a complete repudiation of Paul’s gospel and Ezekiel’s statement. And a rejection of the Genesis account which plainly says that Adam was sent from the garden, not because he sinned, but because he had “become as one of us to know good and evil”(Gen.3:22).

No one is saying selfishness is good. It’s not good. But, only that the natural desire to take care of oneself is “very good” because it is a natural desire that God gave them in the garden. Taking care of oneself does not have to be to the detriment of another. In this context it is natural to take care of oneself. Not evil. But, because you only think in terms of the naughty/nice paradigm natural desires must be evil. It is that paradigm that you are captive in that keeps you from understanding Paul’s gospel. But, there is deliverance for you if you will believe what the Bible plainly teaches. And please note that Cain was not punished by God for what he did. He was blessed with protection by God with a mark. And sent far away from those who might want to do him harm in revenge for slaying Abel. Why? Not because God thought what Cain did was ok. No. It was not ok. But, because sin is not imputed when there is no law.

The sin of the world that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to reprove it of is “They believe not on me”. I was reproved of that sin many years ago by the love and kindness of God that leads to repentance(Rom.2:4). It was when God showed me His awesome love that I trusted in Jesus and received the eternal life that He died to provide me with. Guilt and shame are tools of the devil to keep men from trusting in God. Which is why they are the tools of the naughty/nice Santa Claus religion of antichrist as well. This is why those who are deceived by it never come to a love for the truth as Paul said in 2Thes.2. And never come to a saving faith in Jesus.

1John1:8 was written to reject the Gnostic spirit of antichrist naughty/nice teachings that were affecting the Israelites John was preaching to. John taught them that as part of their saving faith Israelites needed to confess the sins they committed under the law. And now being delivered from the law to a personal relationship with Jesus they were cleansed from all unrighteousness under the law. Gnostics said there was no need for them to confess those sins because the flesh is evil and confessing sin won’t change that. So it has nothing to do with a denial of sins in the flesh. But, only with the Gnostic teachings that the flesh is evil that John was telling them to reject.

            Even so… Maranatha!!
