The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is “extremely concerned” about the number of toddlers in the United Kingdom who are having difficulty communicating as a result of frequent lockdowns. Therapists and charities are concerned about a rapid loss in speech and motor abilities, with language treatment requests tripling. Children (and adults) receive speech and language therapy to assist them in communicating.
