Morality- A Tool Of Satan?

Yes, because a focus on morality can be the means by which satan keeps many who think they are Christians from a saving faith in Jesus. Because for this righteousness becomes all about someone’s works, rather than “the faith of Christ” as Paul’s gospel declares in Gal.2:16. It can be seen in what Jesus was referring to when He spoke to the tribulation church at Ephesus in Rev.2, when He said, “I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles and are not, and hast found them liars; And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast labored, and hast not fainted.” But, then Jesus says to them that even though they are commended for their good works and they’re having rejected the works of these others, He has something against them. 

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” In this passage we see that it was their first love, their personal relationship with Jesus, that they were neglecting while doing good works and eschewing evil that they are admonished for by Jesus. But, why has satan been so successful at this? Why has he been so successful at getting so many to believe the false teachings that focus on works that they believe today? Because just like the secular schools do, the religions have done this by teaching those who will teach the masses these false doctrines they have adhered to.

It works like this, like secular colleges, the seminaries teach what has been handed down to them from those who went before them. Which is Augustinianism. A form of pagan Gnosticism. They received it from their teachers all the way back to Augustine. Just as secular teachers got it from their teachers all the way back to Darwin. And even the so-called reformation didn’t end this false teaching because the so-called reformers Martin Luther and John Calvin were Augustinians themselves. They never renounced the teachings of Augustine. But, only the rituals the RCC practice. Not realizing that those rituals like maryolatry and infant baptism are mostly the by-product of Augustine’s doctrines.

So just like the secular schools have their colleges that teach the teachers that teach the masses which caused so many to believe the bankrupt religion of evolution. So the religions have their seminaries (colleges) that teach the pastors (teachers) that teach the masses to believe the equally bankrupt “original sin” and “necessity” doctrines of Augustine.

Sadly this is because most people have not been like the Bereans that Paul spoke so highly of in Acts17:11. They have not searched the scriptures to see if what they heard from their teachers was true. And by not doing so the wolves in sheep’s clothing that Jesus and the apostles warned us about have been allowed to creep in and pervert the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Because if they searched the scriptures they would know that these doctrines are not found in the Bible. But, are instead the product of the pagan Gnosticism of Augustine. They teach these by leading people in a method of reading they refer to as “systematic theology”. A system that was created by Satan to force people to the same unBiblical conclusions that Augustine preached. But, this system is not a hermeneutical method of interpretation. It is a method of reading that changes what the scriptures plainly say to something that will force the person to align their beliefs with those of Augustine.

For example, when we read in Rom.5 Paul saying that sin came into the world through Adam. And that through this sin death came to Adam and passed to all men. And that because this death passed to all men all sinned. Their “systematic theology” leads the person to look at later verses in the chapter to interpret this. Instead of interpreting this from what is plainly said in these verses. And then interpreting what the later verses say by these as Paul intended. They must do this because believing what is plainly written leads the reader to a very different conclusion from that which Augustine, Luther, and Calvin taught. It shows that death does not reign because it is a penalty for sin by inheritance and imputation as these said it did. Because if we read the next thing Paul says, instead of skipping down to vs.18,19 to interpret what Paul wrote here as “systematic theology” demands we do, then we see that it is that these sins, the sin of Adam and any that came after him until Moses, that were not imputed to them. Showing plainly that death is not a penalty for Adam’s sin.

So the reader must be led in a different direction to get them to the false conclusions Augustine came to. And this is why the system of Bible reading called “systematic theology” was invented. In this, we see how it is that Satan uses morality to keep people from salvation. Because by doing so the emphasis is placed on behavior/works instead of in whom we have believed. Not necessarily our own behavior either. But, as we see in this “systematic theology” method it is the behavior/works of Adam and Jesus that either condemns or saves us. These false teachers tell us that it was Adam’s disobedience that made all men sinners by inheritance and imputation. And that their free will choices regarding who they will believe in has nothing to do with this. 

But, if that is true then being saved or not is based on works, not faith. Because it is then Adam’s disobedience(works), and Jesus’ obedience(works) that sends all men to hell or to heaven. And not the free will choice as to who we will believe. Can you see how this changes God from a God who loves the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever will believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life? To a god that is capricious and angry and vengeful just like the false gods of the nations, we see around Israel in the Old Testament? Can you see that this changes the atonement from being a gift that is freely given by the God that is the giver of life to all who will believe? To a pagan sacrifice meant to appease this pagan, vengeful, capricious, and angry false god Augustine believed in? 

So this is why our focus must not be on Jesus’, Adam’s, or our own works as those who teach their pagan system of “systematic theology” would have us believe. But, on the person Jesus Christ. Because Jesus said it is only by knowing Him that we can we have eternal life(John17:3). This too is why the sin of the world that Jesus said is the only sin that He sent the Holy Spirit to reprove it off so they can be saved is “they believe not on me”(John16:7-9). 

So like the tribulation church at Ephesus, we must return to our first love. Which is our love for the person Jesus Christ? We must reject the false doctrines of the wolves that have crept in. And to do this we must do as Paul admonished us to and “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”2Cor.13:5. We must be like the Bereans that Paul spoke so highly of in Acts17:11 and “receive the word with all readiness of mind, and search the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

If you are reading this God is calling you. He loves you and wants you to know Him. Because knowing Him is eternal life.John17:3. So if you do not know Him please take the time right now to pray and confess Jesus as Lord of your life. And believe that He has raised from the dead. In doing this and really meaning it from your heart you will be saved from death to life. From sin to righteousness. And from the wrath to peace with God. Because when you trust in Jesus you leave the old life behind where you were only equipped to trust in idols. In what has been made. And now trust in Jesus who alone can equip you for heaven because He is the only WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE.
