Featured Story

Biblically, abortion is the murder of a human being created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-279:6Exodus 21:22-25Psalm 139:13-16Jeremiah 1:5). That a Christian should be pro-life would seem, to me, abundantly biblically clear. With most other political issues, however, there are not explicitly biblical commands or principles.

With some of the most clearly defined regulations on abortion in the nation, Missouri had managed to lower the number of abortion facilities to a single clinic, but a second Missouri clinic opened its doors recently and two others plan on following soon.

Planned Parenthood has battled against state regulations requiring abortion clinics to meet the same surgical center standards as full hospitals and for their doctors to have hospital privileges, and in April a federal court sided with the abortion giant.Breitbart TV

What Is Planned Parenthood

U.S. District Judge Howard Sachs granted a preliminary injunction invalidating requirements for the state’s abortion clinics to meet standards for surgical centers and for their doctors to have hospital privileges, citing a U.S. Supreme Court ruling striking down similar restrictions in Texas, which deemed those laws unnecessary and unconstitutional.

“Missouri has not complied with that decision,” Sachs, of the Western District of Missouri in Kansas City, wrote.

Shortly afterward, Planned Parenthood expressed its intention to expand its abortion services in the state. On Monday, Planned Parenthood Great Plains announced plans to offer abortion services at two more clinics in Missouri, including its midtown Kansas City clinic, which now offers medication abortion services.

The Satanic Temple has often lent its muscle to pro-abortion efforts alongside Planned Parenthood, and in this case has pressured Missouri legislators and worked through the courts to bring about a relaxing of abortion restrictions, according to reports. One of the Temple’s fundamental tenets is that “One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.”

On Monday, the Satanic Temple argued in a Missouri court that the state’s abortion restrictions violate members’ rights to free religious practice. The organization challenged two Missouri laws: one that requires patients to look at anti-abortion literature and another that obliges them to wait 72 hours between their initial consultations and second appointments for their abortions.

Satanic Temple members have argued that their religion prizes rational, independent thought and that forcing Satanists to read anti-abortion pamphlets and “consider a religious proposition with which they do not agree” during the 72-hour waiting period constitutes a violation of their beliefs.

For years the Satanic Temple has been involved with lawsuits in Missouri fighting abortion regulations. The group also attempted to procure a religious waiver for a female Satanist who sought to circumvent the 72-hour requirement under pretense that it violated her religion. A judge eventually threw out the case because the woman was no longer pregnant.

The Satanic Temple has been on the forefront of the fight to protect and extend abortion rights throughout the nation, and in 2015 set up a crowdfunding website with Indiegogo “to challenge arbitrary, insulting abortion regulations,” especially the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.

Its website states:

The Satanic Temple (TST) supports personal choice in the context of abortion and, as part of a multi-faceted Women’s Rights campaign, TST is offering religious exemptions from arbitrary, insulting, and outright harmful anti-abortion legislation that has been steadily encroaching across the nation.

As an interesting aside, Satanism has a millennial history of association with child sacrifice, which makes the Temple’s financial and moral support of abortion a natural activity for the sect. The Israelites struggled against the worship of Baal, another name for the Phoenician god Moloch, who demanded child sacrifices of his followers and was associated with the devil. The prophet Jeremiah spoke explicitly of the sacrifice of children to Baal, warning his readers that God finds such behavior abhorrent.

Baal was often identified with Satan, especially in the form of “Beezebul” (Lord Baal), the prince of demons, which literally meant the “Lord of the Flies.” Jesus Christ was accused of obtaining powers for his miracles from “Beelzebul,” whom he identified as Satan. Source

The Satanic Temple The Satanic Temple is an international nontheistic religion and political activist group based in Salem, Massachusetts. The Temple has several chapter groups throughout the world, the largest of which is in Detroit, Michigan. The group uses Satanic imagery to promote egalitarianism, social justice and the separation of church and state.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a Satanic Temple member’s religious challenge to a state law that requires one of the nation’s longest waiting periods for abortion and mandates that women be offered an ultrasound first.

At issue is Missouri’s “informed consent” law that says women must wait three days to receive an abortion and requires those seeking abortions to be provided with a booklet that says “the life of each human being begins at conception.” Under the law, abortion providers also must give women a chance to view an ultrasound and hear the fetal heartbeat.

But Supreme Court judges wrote in their ruling that the plaintiff, an anonymous member of the Satanic Temple listed as Mary Doe in the court documents, failed to show that her religious rights were violated because Missouri law does not require women to read the booklet, receive an ultrasound or listen to a heartbeat.

“It simply provides her with that opportunity,” the judges wrote.

The woman’s attorney, James MacNaughton, said Wednesday that they’re disappointed. However, he added, there might be “some small measure of vindication” if the court ruling means women can turn down ultrasounds and still receive abortions.

He said whether that’s allowed under the law was unclear over the course of the court challenge.

Planned Parenthood’s St. Louis clinic is the only one that currently provides abortions in Missouri. A Planned Parenthood spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.

The woman bringing the challenge traveled from southeastern Missouri to St. Louis in 2015 for an abortion at Planned Parenthood. The woman did eventually receive an abortion, but in a letter to her doctors included in court documents, she wrote that some of the state’s restrictions on abortion conflict with her beliefs to follow scientific understanding of the world.

The Salem, Massachusetts-based Satanic Temple doesn’t believe in a literal Satan but sees the biblical Satan as a metaphor for rebellion against tyranny.

The group has waged religious battles around the U.S. in recent years, including pushing unsuccessfully to install a statue of the goat-headed, winged creature called Baphomet outside the Arkansas and Oklahoma state capitols as counterpoints to Ten Commandments monuments. Members also proposed “After School Satan Clubs” in elementary schools from Oregon to Georgia where evangelical Christian “Good News Clubs” are operating.

Republican Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s spokesman, Chris Nuelle, said in an email that the office applauds the ruling. Nuelle said the measure is “designed to protect women from undue pressure and coercion during the sensitive decision of whether or not to have an abortion.”

Twenty-seven states require a waiting period for an abortion, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a national research group that supports abortion rights. Missouri is one of five states with the longest waiting period — 72 hours — in effect.Source

In America, it’s illegal to donate money to a candidate without first reporting it to the government. Even then, if you give more than is permissible you might end up in jail.  In this country, you can’t add trans fats to your foods or smoke cigarettes in your own bar. Here, Little Sisters of the Poor can’t tell the state they’d rather not buy condoms and bakers can’t tell a couple they’d rather not participate in their wedding.

But it’s completely legal to kill an unborn baby for convenience and then sell its parts for cash.

Let’s forget the legality of the issue for a moment. And let’s forget religion and politics, if that’s possible. Let’s forget the disconcerting economic incentives inherent in these types of transactions and ask: what kind of person nonchalantly describes “crushing” the life from another living being—a being that might have already been named and loved; a loss that might have a tremendous negative impact on a person or family or community—over a glass of wine and some giggles?

Well, an executive at euphemistic Planned Parenthood, that’s who. We can tell ourselves that a life can simply be written off whenever we deem it inconvenient. We can celebrate the right to end life. But the depravity of Deborah Nucatola’s conversation betrays where it all leads—and also where it started.

If this was a video of some product researchers talking about the same process, but describing the vivisection of a monkey or a cat for organ harvesting instead, most Americans would be justly repulsed. Yet, because this is Planned Parenthood, an organization fulfilling its eugenicist founder’s goal of population control, it will be treated as just another dispute in the culture wars, completely devoid of scientific and moral context.

Because this is Planned Parenthood, most of the media will frame this as a political tug of war rather than explore the politics and ethics of allowing Americans to terminate a life and then harvest organs. Some in the media will probably have a difficult time even comprehending why anyone would deem this much of a story at all. You’ll recall how a number of politicians and reporters struggled to explain the distinction between a run-of-the-mill late-term abortionist and Kermit Gosnell. (Answer: one has a license.)

You’re involved, too. You have no “choice.” It is worth reiterating that taxpayers, in part, fund this abortion industry. The fungibility of dollars that flow into Planned Parenthood makes laws like the Hyde Amendment nothing more than a political canopy for Republicans to cower under. Until Planned Parenthood breaks off its abortion/wholesale baby-part business from its women’s health operations, you’re a big investor.Delaying an abortion to sell parts at a higher price is illegal in theory, but really, like the Hyde Amendment, completely unenforceable in practice.

And women who donate pieces of their babies (and we still don’t understand how this happens, by default or proactively), according to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, they may ask for “reasonable payments associated with the transportation, implantation, processing, preservation, quality control, or storage of human fetal tissue.”  It’s probably not a huge moneymaker, but that’s beyond the point. Delaying an abortion to sell parts at a higher price is illegal in theory, but really, like the Hyde Amendment, completely unenforceable in practice.

Planned Parenthood argues that their peddling of human tissue (known to the rest of us as “body parts we need to survive”) is ethical and useful. The not-for-profit was merely negotiating how it would be reimbursed for human tissue—or, as the Associated Press would describe the bartering of aborted baby parts: a discussion about “the disposition of parts from aborted fetuses.” This practice isn’t new.

But killing unborn babies and selling their organs saves lives, says Planned Parenthood. (You only need to peruse the history of the twentieth century to find that line of reasoning disconcerting.) If Planned Parenthood really wanted to save lives, of course, it could start by attempting to convince—or, at the very least inform—its would-be customers that they have real choices. What Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s senior director for medical services, really tells us is that these aren’t just clumps of cells devoid of moral significance or purpose—especially when they don’t meet Dr. Deborah Nucatola’s scalpel. “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that,” she explains, “so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.” She is discussing organs of a baby, evidentially, more useful to her dead than alive.

Margaret Sanger (1879-1966) was a hateful racist. She is the founder of Planned Parenthood. This video evidences that racism is still alive and cruel in today’s abortion industry.

Understand why many pastors are so angry with Planned Parenthood. There are many companies and doctors that do abortion, so why does so much of the anti-abortion effort get directed at Planned Parenthood? After all, they also do cancer screenings, STD tests, adoption referrals and birth control prescriptions…so what gives?

The video released this week provides a perfect explanation. Planned Parenthood is an organization dedicated to making money of the abortion industry. Our culture is a culture of death, and we have institutionalized the idea that a woman can kill a child as long as that child is inside of her. That is sick, evil, and an affront against the dignity of the image of God.

But Planned Parenthood goes beyond simply participating in the abortion industry. They not only embody the evil of our country’s Moloch worship, but they refine it. This is why:

Eugenics

Planned Parenthood was founded by Margret Sanger, who had as her goal the control of the black population in the United States. The fact that people whom she deemed as “socially unfit” were able to reproduce was a problem for her, and she set to work to fix it. She saw eugenics as the best approach to handling racial tensions in the United States, and even worked to pass federal legislation that would have allowed Nazi-style sterilization of “undesirables.” Under her proposal, alcoholics, epileptics, and others whom “race recognition experts” determined were undesirable would have been subject to forced sterilization.

When her proposal did not gain traction in Congress, she turned her attention to abortion. She tailored her message for women with several children (“the most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its members is to kill it”). In addition to large families, she specifically targeted black families (she called them “degenerate and defective”). In fact, she saw black families as a threat to the American nation because America had “reached the highest degree of civilization” but was at risk of being “increasingly dragged down” through black couples having large families.

This is why she founded Planned Parenthood.

Racial Exploitation Today

Planned Parenthood has not moved on from Sanger’s views on the moral necessity of abortion. On their website right now is a tribute to Sanger. In fact, their “History & Successes” page says “Sanger’s early efforts remain the hallmark of Planned Parenthood’s mission.”

Now obviously today it is not politically correct to say your goal is to limit the birth rate of a certain race, and Planned Parenthood is not politically stupid. But the fact remains that abortion was main-streamed in American culture by an organization that viewed it as a eugenic tool, and it remains that way to this day. An African-American women is five times more likely to get an abortion than a Caucasian woman. Even studies that control for income variation find the same result.

In fact, according to a website called “Black Genocide,” 78% of Planned Parenthood’s clinics are in minority communities. African-Americans are about 12% of the US population, but about 35% of abortions. The roots of Planned Parenthood are still evident today.

And, by the way, if Planned Parenthood wanted to move away from Sanger’s eugenics, perhaps they could stop calling their annual award for leadership in the abortion industry their “Margaret Sanger Award.

Tax-payer funded

Planned Parenthood is often at the front of the abortion debate in our country because they are funded by tax-payers. They receive about $530 million dollars annually from taxes. They perform around 330,000 abortions every year, and they are the nation’s largest provider of abortions, because they are so cheap. They are so cheap because our tax dollars underwrite the procedures.

They do have the ability to refer people to adoption agencies. But their last annual report said that for every 150 abortions they do, they refer one person to adoption. So our taxes are not supporting their adoption push, but rather our taxes are collected to underwrite the cost of abortion at a clinic that targets low-income people.

Opposition to birth control

Ironically, Planned Parenthood is actually opposed to making birth control such as the pill available over-the-counter. When legislation as been advanced to allow this, they have mobilized their PR machine to oppose it. There really is no rational explanation for making birth control harder to get…unless much of your profit comes from abortions.

Late-term abortions

Polls consistently show that most Americans are conflicted about abortion. While the typical pro-life person is opposed to all abortion, and the typical pro-abortion person is in favor of abortion on-demand, most Americans are neither. Most Americans think abortion should be illegal sometime between 20-24 weeks, but legal before that.

But Planned Parenthood is uncomfortable with that kind of compromise. Much of the entrenched nature of the abortion debate is because Planned Parenthood excels at turning even progressive compromises in abortion legislation (such as birth control over-the-counter) into an all out “war on women.”

The result of this logic is the “abortion on demand” view that abortion should be legal (and subsidized!) at any point in a pregnancy. A 30-week baby is able to be delivered and survive out side of the womb, but that doesn’t matter to them. In their mind the mother should be able to have doctors crush the baby’s skull, vacuum out the brains, and deliver the body. Period.

In fact, just last year, Planned Parenthood’s president, Cecile Richards, said “life begins at delivery” and that it should be every women’s own decision when life begins for their children.

I could go on. I could write about how the media caters to them be refusing to ask any presidential candidate when they think life begins. I could talk about how after the video was released, some news organizations ran stories that were literally (not figuratively, but literally) the talking points emailed to them by Planned Parenthood. Or how the AP two years ago decided that as an organization they were going to #StandWithWendy Davis, the Texas State Senator who did the pro-abortion filibuster. Etc.

They traffic in baby body parts

The reason the video hit such a nerve is because it brings the whole level of evil in Planned Parenthood into sharp focus. While sipping wine at a 2-hour lunch, the medical director for Planned Parenthood talked about how they (as an organization) have gotten really good at “crushing below, crushing above” babies organs during an abortion. That way they can sell the organs afterwards.

This is illegal on so many levels. It is illegal to sell the organs. It is illegal for a doctor to change the way she does an abortion in order to get the organs. Some have pointed out that there are loop-holes in these laws, but…seriously?

They first make the case that the baby is not alive, then they kill him and harvest his organs for cash. The company they were selling through even offered bulk discounts for any transaction over $1,000.

So, why is Planned Parenthood evil? They are evil because they have roots in eugenics, they disproportionally target minorities, they use our tax dollars to do it, they make birth control difficult to get, they lobby for late-term abortions, and they do this all to make a profit.

I’d say a lot of people want liver,” Planned Parenthood’s director of medical research, Dr. Nucatola says, between bites of salad. “And for that reason, most providers will do [the abortion] under ultrasound guidance so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps. We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”

Some people suggest abortion is okay in cases of alleged “self defense” (when it could threaten the mother’s life to have a child). People who believe this are suggesting that aborting in the case of harm to the mother is the same as self defense. However, it is important to note that no doctor can say (in most cases) that a mother’s life will for sure be taken if she has the child.

There are many cases where a mother has the child even though there are risks, and everything turns out fine. Famous football player Tim Tebow is such a case. His mother was told she should abort the pregnancy due to high risk. She didn’t listen to the doctor, and now she has a Christian son in the NFL.

That is the miracle of life. Sometimes people die during birth, sometimes they don’t. Doctors don’t always accurately predict the outcome. You also have to keep in mind that before the recent advances in medical technology, there was no way of ever knowing if a woman would die during birth.

So it makes no sense to agree with aborting on the premise that it “could” harm the mother. Giving birth technically “could” kill anyone, so does that mean everyone should abort since there is always at least a small risk that any mother could potentially die? No, of course not.

There are cases in which the baby may be growing in a way which may cause a very high risk of death to the mother, or the mother may have to have emergency surgery (such as an ectopic pregnancy). In this case, should a woman have an abortion? The better solution would be to seek ways to save both lives.  Advances in science has led to artificial “wombs” being created, and at the very least doctors should try to save both the woman and the growing baby. If womb implantation fails or if the child dies inside of the womb, then at least an attempt to save life was done, and the woman and doctor were acting in the right spirit.

There is nothing wrong with surgically removing a child who died in the womb. The important thing is to consider the attitude of the matter. If a woman’s life is genuinely at high risk, or if the baby is causing the mother severe health problems that require immediate surgery, then doctors should have a spirit of trying to save both lives. The baby shouldn’t be purposely killed as if it is worthless.

However, if the child dies in the womb, or dies during an attempt to implant into a womb, then of course it would be fine to remove the dead child.

Abortions Kill People Too

One fact that many people seem to forget is that abortion procedures can kill mothers too. There is a risk to have a baby, and there is a risk to have an abortion. Both carry risks.

One of my in-laws’ distant relatives became pregnant, and she decided to abort. She traveled to another state to do this in secrecy, and tragically, she bled to death from the procedure. Her family found out (very tragically) that she died only because she had the abortion done. That is a true story, and it happens more often then people might think.

Even if the woman doesn’t die, sometimes an abortion can leave serious health problems for the woman.

Is Abortion Okay if the Woman Was Raped?

No doubt, it is a very difficult situation when a woman is raped. Many do not want to ever re-live that horrific event, and it is very traumatic to those that experience this type of sexual violence. Women do not always become pregnant when raped. However, if a woman does become pregnant after a rape, should she still have an abortion?

Even though the situation in which the child was conceived was terrible,  that child became alive at the moment the egg and sperm met. A soul was created at that very moment. The blueprints for life were locked in stone, and the human life began to exist. The Bible is clear that we do not have the right to take another person’s life.

There are many brave women who decide to carry the baby and have a normal birth. This is (of course) a very hard decision. But just because the baby was created in an act of hate or sin, it doesn’t mean that the child cannot be a loving and happy child. That child may turn out to be the next president of the United States. It could find the cure for cancer. It could invent something that would save lives. Or it may just be a good citizen. But it is worth keeping alive, and he or she should be given an equal chance at life. Even though it was a traumatic conception, it could be a blessing in the end. That child may bring so much joy to the mother.

God has a way of taking the greatest hurt in our lives, and turning it into one of our greatest blessings. It is almost a paradox, but it happens all the time.

In cases where the mother just doesn’t feel right about the whole situation, and would prefer to abort the child, I would strongly urge the option of adoption. Adoption is a far better alternative, and the world is filled with loving people who would love to be parents to a new child, regardless of how the child was conceived. If you feel that you cannot take care of the child, this is an option that may be best for you.

When asked if a woman who was raped should have an abortion, I sometimes respond, “Should babies alive today who were conceived through raped be killed? If not, then why should they be killed when they are a little younger in a womb?”

Is Abortion Okay in the Case of Incest?

Incest is the situation where close family members have sexual relations. This can be harmful because it greatly increases the likelihood that the child can have some form of genetic deformation or retardation. Even if the child is going to have problems, should women have an abortion in this case?

There are many children who have deformities and retardation that were conceived by 2 non-related parents, and in love. There are also some alive today who were born by incestuous relations. Should these children be killed now? Should we round up retarded children, or children born of incest and put them all to death now?

If we don’t round up children alive now and put them to death due to incest or retardation, why should we do it when they are in the womb?

Suppose there is a little baby just born, sitting in an incubator. What would you do if you witnessed someone going up and strangling that baby? Or punching it? You’d instinctively know it was wrong.

Now backtrack just a few minutes when it was just delivered, but still attached via an umbilical cord. Should it be killed then? What about just a few seconds earlier when it was inside the womb. What about then?

When is this world going to realize that babies are babies? It doesn’t matter if it is in the womb or out. It is alive. It is a human soul.  Murder is murder, and abortion is nothing short of murder.

Conclusion: Is Abortion Acceptable to God?

There are many cases where a child can be conceived in a way which is traumatic, sinful, or even harmful to the health of the mother. Yet, God loves us all and gives us grace to handle those difficult situations. God is the creator of life, and we should strive to protect life. Once a sperm meets an egg, a miracle happens. We should respect and welcome that miracle, even in the most difficult of circumstances.

In cases where high risk exists, women should do everything they can to try to preserve the life of their baby. Hopefully, as science advances, new technology such as artificial wombs and so forth will remove the need to ever even question what to do during emergency situations.

Even in traumatic cases of conception, such as incest, women should carry their child to term, and if they cannot care for it themselves, they should seek a loving home for it.

The Bible does not support the notion of murder, and abortion is nothing short of murder.Source
