Satanic Temple now recognized by IRS as a church, temple says

This means the satanic temple gets tax-exempt status like other churches.

The Satanic bible is a collection of essays, composed and compiled in 1969 by Anton LaVey, detailing the basic, fundamental Satanic rituals and ideology. Its proponents regard the Satanic bible as the foundation of the Satanic paradigm, while maintaining that the book is not subject to revision nor interpretation and that no ritual or ideology contrary to what is depicted in the Satanic bible is compatible with Satanism. Note – the vast majority of Satanists do not even believe in the existence of a personal being named Satan. Rather, Satan is a symbol of struggle against a tyrannical God.

The Satanic bible is divided into four books, namely, “The Book of Satan,” “The Book of Lucifer,” “The Book of Belial,” and finally “The Book of Leviathan.” It is generally believed that LaVey obtained this hierarchy from “The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage,” in which the above four demons are said to be the chiefs of hell. Each book addresses a different principle of Satanism, and serves a unique purpose within the book as a whole.

The Satanic bible builds upon the traditional secular humanistic philosophy that each individual can be his or her own “god.” This leads to the arrogant and self-centered worldview that man on his own can determine truth, independent of any notion of God or higher authority. This is clearly in sharp contrast with the biblical teaching that we will be held accountable to God for all things we have done in this life (Jeremiah 17:10) and is the same deception which Satan fed to Eve in the Garden of Eden, asserting that “…you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5).

Satanic artist tops the charts.

Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? is aiming for a return engagement at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, according to industry forecasters. Those in the know suggest the set could jump back to the top, for a second total week at No. 1, with over 85,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending April 25.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the May 4-dated Billboard 200 chart (where Eilish may return to No. 1) is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, April 28.

Satan Worship – What are the Realities?
Those who practice Satan worship adore Satan and give him spiritual authority. They may pray to him, seek things from him, and have ceremonies centered around him. There are two main schools of Satanism: Traditional Satanism (first century to present) and Modern Satanism (19th century forward). Satan is viewed differently in the two schools of Satan worship. In Traditional Satanism, he is thought to be a personal spirit-being, so the believers participate in worship, prayer, or rituals that recognize Satan’s spiritual authority. Modern Satan worshippers believe Satan is an impersonal entity. In this school of Satanism, hedonism is key. 

The Satanic bible argues that sin is an inherent part of mankind’s character and is, for the most part, not immoral or shameful. The argument goes that Christianity chose carefully such actions which are part of mankind’s instinctual drive to declare as sin in order to ensure man’s continued dependence on Christ and His mercy. LaVey argues that sin in the biblical sense is to be encouraged rather than frowned upon. Conversely, the Bible teaches that sin is indeed an inherent part of human nature, for “the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). The Bible makes it emphatically clear that the ultimate consequence of sin is death and eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23) and also offers words of encouragement: “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” (1 Corinthians 10:13). 

Same-sex relationships and other forms of sexually immoral behavior are openly condoned by the Satanic bible. On page 69 of the Satanic bible, LaVey states that “Satanism encourages any form of sexual expression you may desire, so long as it hurts no one else.” This is also expressly in conflict with the Bible, which makes it abundantly clear the place of sexual relations is exclusively within the context of marriage, which is intended by God as a relationship between one man and one woman for life. First Corinthians 6:18-20commands us to “flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”

The teaching of the Satanic bible concerning the existence of the afterlife is that there is no such thing as life after death, and thus life must be lived to the full in this world. This is the premise on which many of the Satanic teachings are based, for it removes the element of accountability. Hebrews 9:27, however, indicates that “man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” There are two ultimate afterlife destinations—heaven and hell. After death, the determination of where one will spend eternity is absolute and final. The destination to which one is headed is dependent on whether one has accepted Christ as personal Savior, through faith, and thus has received his free gift of salvation made available through the death of Christ, paying the penalty for man’s sin.

Anton S. LaVey introduced Satan worship into the United States culture on April 30, 1966. He first started a group called the Magic Circle in San Francisco, California. This was the start of the Satanic Church (Satanic Church of America). Today, the church has various levels of membership and authority.

It is essential to note that Satanism is not easily summarized. Many Satanists themselves disagree on their very fundamental principles. In fact, some Satanists are more “self-styled” and create their own version of Satan worship.

Satan Worship – The Satanic Bible
Satan Worship is described in a book titled The Satanic Bible, which was written by LaVey in 1966. It has sold millions of copies. Here are the foundation tenants laid out in this book:¹

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence.
2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams.
3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit.
4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates.
5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek.
6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires.
7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all fours, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all.
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification.
9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as he has kept it in business all these years.

In the book Kingdom of the Occult, Walter Martin writes, “Even the positive aspects of Satanism are cloaked in negativity. LaVey wrote, ‘Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates.’ You are to love others only if they deserve it. But who exactly are the ones that deserve love? The answer cannot be anything other than narcissistic in that the Satanist alone determines who is deserving of love.” Martin points out that this is exactly the opposite of what was promoted by Jesus — give love without expecting it in return, even to your enemies. This concept is despised by Satanists.²

Satan worship involves ritual practices as part of their ceremonial precepts. The ideology of Satanists is to do everything that is opposite the concepts of the Christian God. God is pure in truth where the goals of Satan worship deal with all that is considered bad and perverted. Indulging in what makes them feel good is a must no matter what the consequences are to someone else. If society considers something good, to them it is bad. It is better to do bad things to other people. 

John 8:44 is perhaps a good summary of Satanism: “You belong to your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Satan Worship – A Way Out
There is hope and healing for those caught in Satan worship. Don’t be discouraged when people disbelieve your story or seem to make light of it. Seek Christian counseling for treatment. Ask God to send you to someone who will lovingly help you out of the darkness. Your battle is a spiritual one and Jesus is powerful. Cry out to Jesus. 

The Bible says, “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17)
