THE CHOICE, IT’S OURS. GOD ALREADY MADE HIS. LOVE IS THE KEY TO FAITH FOR CONVERGENCE OR DIVERGENCE- John3:16

The path we choose makes us who we are. Whether it be Jesus for righteousness. Or the way of unbelief and unrighteousness. It is from this choice the course for us is set.

In this charting God’s plan of salvation conclusion we will note that what God has done is create the circumstances within which our choice becomes the key ingredient for being made righteous.

We have discovered the plan God put in place before He made the world. Beginning with Adam being made natural and not spiritual. To calling Abraham to go to a land God would give to him and his decsendents. And Abraham choosing to believe God to be righteous.

And the divergence of 2 lines of people that happened when God did this. One without a covenant with God as Eph.2:1-12 describes. And the other with a covenant that would make God’s name to be known throughout the earth.

To a time when the law was given through Moses to ensure a pure bloodline through which Jesus would come into the world. Making the way for all men to be saved through faith in Him. A voluntary free will choice through which God’s kind of love could be experienced.

But, we are not at the end. This realy brings us to a glorious new beginning. Because God’s mercies are new every morning. His love never fails.

And having discussed last week the divergence that happens when either a man chooses law and works or simply unbelief. We now move into the area where the choice has been made. And the consequences that arise from that choice are set. As Hebrews says, it is appointed once for man to die, then the judgment.

The man dies who has chosen life through faith in Jesus without works, that is separation of the believer’s spirit from his natural body, inherits the kingdom of God. As 1Cor.15:50 shows.

On the other hand if a man chooses unbelief or salvation by works he will find himself taking a dirt nap until the resurrection unto damnation at the end of the millennial reign of Christ.

The unbeliever remains in the grave because like Adam there is no eternal part of him. He is natural and not spiritual just as Paul said in 1Cor.15:45-48. And being natural his body returns to the dust from which it was taken. Just as God told Adam in Genesis.3:19.

The idea that all men have an eternal spirit in them from conception is not grounded in Biblical teaching. It comes from a perversion of Genesis.1:26 and 2:7 among other scriptures. Where some have erred by making the breath of life in Genesis.2:7 a spirit put in man. And also making the in His image of Genesis.1:26 mean man is spirit.

If this were true then Paul’s detailed teaching in 1Cor.2 and 15 about man’s makeup can not be. And the fact that the same breath of life is breathed into every animal, bird, and creeping thing according to Gen.7:15,22 also makes it impossible that breath of life means spirit placed in man.

Knowing this we can see why men need to become children of God. And why Jesus said in John3 it is necessary that he is born again. Or born of the Spirit. Because it is only when this happens that a man becomes a child of God by a spirit created in him by God.

The man who has never trusted in Jesus remains natural just like Adam was when God made him. And it is because he is a natural man that not only can he not inherit God’s kingdom. But, he also can not even begin to perceive spiritual things. Like God, heaven, his need for salvation, righteousness, and eternal life.

His being natural is what disqualifies him from the inheritance God has provided in Jesus for all mankind. Not bad behavior. Because natural men are not God’s children. But, only His creation.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, remember? That whosoever would believe in Him should not perish. But would have eternal life.

Without the spirit a man enters into eternity the same way he came into this world. Natural, not spiritual. Not being able to perceive the things of the Spirit of God. Or inherit God’s kingdom. And if this is not changed then in eternity he will be forever separated from God.

And not only separated from God. But, joined to his idols that join him to the master of all idols Satan. And being joined with him he also suffers his fate. Eternal death and suffering in the lake of fire. Not because he was bad. But, because he has never trusted in Jesus to be made a spiritual being and child of God.

Jesus taught in John5:29 there is a resurrection unto life and a resurrection unto damnation. It is by this that we know that everyone will get a new body at their respective resurrections. If they have trusted in Jesus it will be at the rapture. If they have not it will be at the great white throne judgment.

The new body, the mansions Jesus spoke of in John14, then is for everyone. The difference being that the believer has a spirit that gives life to that new body so that pain and suffering can not touch it. While the unbeliever who has no spirit to give life to the new body he receives will suffer in torment for eternity.

It’s our choice where and with whom we will spend eternity. Because God has already done everything needed for us to have eternal life. All we need do is trust in Jesus. This is why He is the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Him.

And to remain natural is a determination for an eternity apart from God. By trusting in idols and never believing in Jesus.

This then is the reason God made Adam natural and not spiritual. As well as all his progeny. God did it this way so that free will would determine for each person where and with whom they will spend eternity.

Free will because only by choosing freely is agape love possible. And God is love. This is how God made love the key to eternal life and immortality. And this key is turned to open the door to salvation by faith. By confessing with the mouth the Lord Jesus. And believing in our hearts that God has raised Him from the dead.

If you will respond to God’s love with faith in Jesus and His resurrection you will have eternal life now. And immortality at the resurrection. If not you will go into and remain in eternity separated from God.

My hope is that through this charting of God’s salvation message it has become clear to you why God created His plan. And that it was to ensure that only those who wanted to live with Him would be there. And those who do not won’t.

Respond to God’s love by trusting in Jesus and you will have the spirit created in you that all men need for eternal life. Do this and you will be made a child of God and heir to His kingdom. Given immortality at the resurrection. Do this… and I will see you there or in the air!
