Companies are making many adaptations to current market conditions as worker shortages worsen during The Great Resignation.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities totaled 10.925 million in December, exceeding the market estimate of 10.3 million (BLS). The number of people quitting their jobs fell from a record high in November to 4.338 million by the end of 2021.

Workers are quitting in large numbers for a variety of reasons, including a desire to not return to work and complaints of being overworked and underpaid.

According to surveys, the situation is not improving. According to a recent Morning Consult poll, more than half of workers would consider quitting before returning to work.

But how are businesses dealing with the aftermath of the pandemic?

Businesses are adjusting in any way they can to ensure they can keep their doors open throughout the economic recovery, from automating parts of the workforce to retaining more employees.

According to a recent survey commissioned by UiPath, an enterprise automation software business, 62 percent of executives at large U.S. organizations are experiencing issues with the current labor shortage, and 78 percent of them expect to invest or increase their investment in automation.

Businesses are adopting automation and automation training into their day-to-day processes, according to the report, serving as a supplementary resource rather than a replacement for humans. Employers will have a better chance of keeping talent if executives can effectively train people to use technology.

In a news release, Bettina Koblick, Chief People Officer at UiPath, said, “The dynamics of work and the workplace continue to shift, generating multi-faceted demands on organizations to retain people and attract fresh talent.” “Both a long-term strategy for maximizing the impact of their existing technology stack and a solution that helps each individual employee grow and succeed, business and technology leaders recognize automation.” The skills these workers gain in automation-first environments open up a plethora of career options in creative environments.”

In response to last year’s labor shortage, the Association of Advancing Automation (A3) released a report that showed a record number of robots entering the US workforce.

According to the organization, corporations in North America spent more than $2 billion on roughly 40,000 robots in 2019, up 28% from the previous year.

Although the lockdowns and pandemic-related benefits influenced employers across many industries to switch to robots, it’s also about the technology not needing to stop for food or sleep.

“With human labor, what they produce depends on if they’re hungry or are they tired or have they had their coffee,” Brian Tu, chief revenue officer for DCL Logistics, told Reuters.

“We still have people working around the robots,” he explained, “but we can cut labor in half.”

Whether it’s preparing hamburgers or frying chicken wings, restaurants have been at the forefront of incorporating automation into daily operations. Experts predict that the trend will continue, as there are few signs of labor shortages abating.

“Fast food restaurants and other businesses that have embraced automation have fared better during the pandemic.” In an interview with The Epoch Times, Sam Zietz, the CEO of GRUBBRR, a self-ordering systems solutions provider, said that restaurants with automation are best positioned to stay open because they meet customers where they are—where they want to order.

It can also be a beneficial investment, according to the data.

Customers spend more when they order themselves, in addition to the one-time cost of a kiosk being a fraction of the cost of maintaining a worker.

“On average, a cashier at a quick-service restaurant open 15 hours per day will cost more than $6,000 per month, whereas GRUBBRR self-ordering systems are a fraction of that price. In addition, kiosks always show up, don’t call in sick, and are ready to work 24/7,” he added.

“When customers order with their eyes and touch via a self-ordering device rather than a cashier, they spend on average 12 percent to 20% more, avoiding the need for price hikes.”

According to an Emergen Research analysis published in January 2021, the food technology market is expected to grow to $342 billion by 2027.

Market analysts believe that the jobs market has been permanently affected, with around three million fewer persons in the labor force than before the public health crisis.

“The Fourth Industrial Revolution, finally, will change not only what we do but also who we are. It will affect our identity and all the issues associated with it: our sense of privacy, our notions of ownership, our consumption patterns, the time we devote to work and leisure, and how we develop our careers, cultivate our skills, meet people, and nurture relationships”

Klaus Schwab

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is reshaping every sphere of human life — from government to commerce; from education to healthcare. It is even impacting human values, opportunities, relationships and identities by modifying virtual as well as physical worlds of human beings. It is in my firm belief that Christians won’t get access to much of the technologies to come. By choice of course, because that is the nature of the puzzle God has laid out for us. We’ve been given free will to live for the world and repent there after. But to be born again, solidifies your role in this world. We’ve identified ourselves based on the values the bible emphasizes, and used them for the foundation of our very identities. To walk away from that is the unthinkable. Stay inquisitive in the word of God, and the world around you.

A city in South Korea plans to roll out a system that uses facial recognition technology and data from over 10,000 surveillance cameras to detect COVID-19 cases and ensure mask compliance.

Beginning in January, the nationally funded pilot project will be tested in Bucheon, a city of about 850,000 people located between Incheon and Seoul.

It will use artificial intelligence, facial recognition, and thousands of CCTV cameras to track the movement of individuals infected with COVID-19, anyone they had close contact with, and whether they were wearing a mask, according to a 110-page business plan from the city submitted to the Ministry of Science and Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

Despite concerns about invasion of privacy, governments around the world have turned to new technologies and expanded legal powers to try to stem the tide of COVID-19 infections. China, Russia, India, Poland, and Japan as well as several U.S. states are among the governments to have rolled out or at least experimented with facial recognition systems for tracking COVID-19 patients, according to a March report by Columbia Law School in New York.

A proposal for the system by the city of Bucheon was first approved in February by the federal Ministry of Science and ICT.

“Using facial recognition technology will enable that analysis in an instant,” said Bucheon Mayor Jang Deog-cheon in bidding for national funding for the pilot project late last year. He said it will save workers from having to spend “hours analyzing a single [segment of] CCTV footage.”

A city official said the pilot project should reduce the strain on overworked tracing teams in a city with a population of more than 800,000 people, and help use the teams more efficiently and accurately.

The plan also states that the system is designed to overcome the fact that tracing teams have to rely heavily on the testimony of COVID-19 patients, who aren’t always truthful about their activities and whereabouts.

There aren’t currently plans to expand the project to the national level, the Ministry of Science and ICT said.

Bucheon received 1.6 billion won ($1.36 million) from the Ministry of Science and ICT and injected 500 million won of the city budget into the project to build the system, a city official said.

Amid privacy concerns, Korea’s Disease Control and Prevention Agency has justified the use of facial recognition technology within the realm of the disease control and prevention law.

Amnesty International and more than 170 organizations in June called for a ban on biometric surveillance, saying that it undermines human rights and civil liberties, including the rights to privacy and data protection, the right to freedom of expression, the right to free assembly and association, and the rights to equality and non-discrimination.

Privacy concerns are undeniably justified coming from concerned citizens. However politicians seem to be selling out to someone else’s agenda, the globalist agenda.

Wether you are aware or not, we are in a technological race with China. As we know they play by a different set of rules. The type of rules that force people to be in their own bubble and never see outside of it. Everything you do is tracked and stored into a massive database that is accessed by the artificial intelligence that helps govern China. If you’re following me you’d understand why the controversial app TikTok was targeted by President Trump and his administration. If you’d like to dive into the imminent threat that is artificial intelligence, you’d need to learn about the history of AI and how far it’s come in recent years.

This single topic of conversation alone is enough to make someone who takes interest in technology wonder what is next for America. Considering the divide we’ve seen in society due to COVID-19 propaganda. The person next to you on a bus could be experiencing life in America completely bought into Fauci’s lies. But your choice to refuse vaccination could become troublesome for the sleeping sheep. Only because the lying “omniscient” medical practitioners suggest as such. Stay inquisitive in the word of God, and the world around you.
