Edward O’Hara…

As I shared in the last message Jesus gave the reason for a deception becoming a strong delusion in Mt.12:43-45 saying, “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

The Danger of an Empty House!

Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.”

The house that has been cleaned and swept is in need of God’s presence, just as Paul said all men are in Rom.6:23 where he wrote, “For all have missed the mark and are in need of the presence of God”. This does not mean that all men are born with an evil spirit indwelling them. It means that all men, whether those inhabited by an evil spirit or not, are in need of God’s presence to insure their house is not to be inhabited by evil spirits.

But, because so many who say they believe in Jesus do not believe Paul’s gospel, but have instead believed Augustine’s pagan doctrine of original sin, or another pagan religious belief, they leave themselves open to the strong delusion. These leave Jesus outside the door knocking as John wrote in Rev.3:20 where Jesus said, “Behold I stand at the door and knock”. Instead of inviting Him in to fellowship with them so they can come to know Him and His amazing love. It is the church’s door Jesus is knocking at in this passage. Hoping those who professed a desire to know Him will let Him in so they can actually and really get to know Him. Because only by knowing Him do we have eternal life.

And even though they go to the church(club) of their choice every time the doors are opened. And read the Bible every day. It is because they have believed what they were told the scriptures mean, instead of believing what the scriptures plainly say, their house remained empty. Because of a false belief that they are sinners by nature and therefore unable to be completely free from sin and denying the power of God. Even though Paul said all believers are in Rom.6:14. This is caused by their belief in the pagan false doctrine of original sin. Which leaves them susceptible to the demonic spirit that comes with 7 others worse than itself. And at the end they are worse than they were at the first having been strongly deluded.

In this message we will learn how the house that is cleaned and swept is filled with the Holy Spirit. And how it is that we believe in and welcome Him into our lives. And that this is only possible when we will believe what the Bible plainly says. A belief that keeps our eyes on Jesus and not on works that invites the Holy Spirit to daily lead and guide us into His truth by grace through faith without works. Just as we see Paul saying faithful Abraham did in Rom.4:1-5 saying that it was because Abraham believed God without works that he was righteous.

Paul said in Rom.8:14 that “They that are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” But, this obviously does not fall on us like ripe apples off of a tree. Nor does it happen just because we said a prayer acknowledging that we recognize our need for Him. As the parable of the sower in Mark4 so beautifully illustrates for us, this happens only when there is a change in our hearts made by receiving the love God has for us which creates in us a desire to know Him. Just as His desire for us is that we learn from Him who He is and how to love as He does.

This is why we see Jesus saying in John17:21-23- “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

What do we see happens when we have believed in Jesus? We see Jesus saying here that the glory God gave Jesus is given to us. What is that glory? That glory is the love of God that made Jesus one with the Father that makes us one with each believer and with God.

So it is indispensable for the truly saved that they sense this hunger to know Jesus more each day. Because this shows the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. So that we desire to know who He is, who the Father is, and what His atonement is really all about. Because His love creates in us a hunger to seek Him. And only by seeking Him do we learn these truths. And by seeking Him we please Him and are rewarded with His presence in us that saves us.

Heb.11:6 says that “without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that hH is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” And James tells us what this reward is in James4:6-8 when he writes that “He giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”

Being double minded here is to be torn by the righteousness by works belief that the law promoted. And the righteousness by faith belief that Paul’s gospel of the grace of God promotes. This tornness is what Paul wrote about in Rom.7 saying things like “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do” in Rom.7:18,19. And “But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.” For which Paul gave the answer to this by saying “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God” in Rom.7:4. And “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” in Rom.8:2.

Romans 8:28 KJV!! | Kristi Ann's Haven

What is this grace that delivers the Israelite from the ministration of death that was under the law? And the Gentile from their idols to serve the living and true God? It is more of Himself being revealed in us by the Holy Spirit so that we know Him. And when we know Him we have eternal life because Jesus said in John17:3 that knowing Him is eternal life. This has nothing to do with good or bad works. It is what we believe in our hearts that comes out of our mouth that Jesus said in Mt.12:33-37 either justifies or condemns us. And when we know Him the words that come from our heart that we speak with our mouth will plainly show that we do know Him. This is the faith that pleases God for which He rewards a man with knowing Him and eternal life. This is the faith of Christ Paul spoke of in Gal.2:16 that justifies all who come to Jesus by His kind of faith. A faith that causes us to commit to Jesus by saying “Nevertheless not my will but thy will be done”, just as He said that showed He was committed to the Father completely.

This is how we know that we are saved. Because God has revealed Himself to us by giving more grace because we diligently seek Him. This is why Jesus told them to ask  and it will be given. And to seek and they will find. And when we knock God opens the door to all the riches of His glory that are in Christ Jesus as Paul said in Phil.4:19. As we see in Malachi3:16,17- “Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.”

What a glorious thing it is to know the living and true God. To have His love fill our hearts as it is shed abroad there by the Holy Spirit. So that as we live in this world we have His love, joy, and peace that passes understanding. This girds up our thoughts, and our spirits that have been birthed in us, so that we can endure anything this life might throw at us.

This is the life of the truly saved that have not been turned from the truth by affliction or persecution for the word’s sake. Or by the cares of this life and the deceitfulness of riches. This is the life of those who have not been deceived by the salvation by works doctrine of original sin. A doctrine that leaves those who have been deceived by it open to the evil spirit that is looking for a place to live making his home there along with 7 others worse than himself. So that they are a part of the great falling away because they are strongly deluded. But, when we first confessed a desire to know Jesus we ask, seek, and knock by diligently seeking Him. For which our reward from God is the grace of knowing Him which is eternal life.

Would you like to know Jesus so that you too can have the gift of grace for eternal life? It has always been His will that you would be saved. Because He has loved you from the time you were conceived. If you do want to know Him so that you are delivered from the power of Satan forever then please pray with me now.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything ...

Dear Jesus, thank you for joining with me in my death. So that I could join with you in eternal life. By believing in your resurrection. And now confessing you as my Lord and savior. Create in me a hunger to know you so that I will seek you every day for the rest of my life. Fill my house with your Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me into all truth. Thanks you for saving me from the power of death. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you prayed that prayer with me praise God! And welcome to His family where there is love, joy, and peace in the Holy Spirit. Now when you read the Bible believe what it plainly says. And trust the Holy Spirit to reveal to you who God is. So that you know Him and the power of His resurrection

See you there or in the air!
