HNewsWire-Lawlessness: Satan Soldiers Within Local Governments in Michigan Seized Her Family’s Home Over a Tax Debt and Then Refused to Compensate Her for the Home Equity in the Property That She Lost

Because of this, the Michigan Supreme Court has held that counties cannot retain for themselves any money left over after the sale of real property for unpaid taxes, which the property owner's attorneys have dubbed "home equity theft." Despite this, an adverse decision was made.

An attorney with the Pacific Legal Foundation, Christina M. Martin, told The Epoch Times that this issue involves a city employing an anti-competitive tax statute to further its own government's goals while also benefiting private enterprises. PLF is a nationwide public interest legal practice established in Sacramento, California, that defends aggrieved people without charging them a fee.

"So the government maintains that it does not have to pay these property owners anything since it did not earn any money," Martin added.

Overall, these residences were worth significantly more than what the owners owed the government, but the government nonetheless seized them. And the government must make good on the excess it illegally appropriated."

As of March 7, a brief (pdf) in Hall v. Meisner, 20-cv-12230, was submitted to a federal appeals court by an appellate attorney for the 6th Circuit. By Judge Paul D. Borman, a Clinton appointment, on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Judge Paul D. Borman rejected the claim in May 2021.

According to the brief, the county obtained "a significant profit at the cost of the homeowners" when it seized the properties of eight appellants to pay back tax bills. Forgiveness of their debts, which were worth less than their houses, was the only recompense they got.

Many years have passed since the Halls, Tawanda and Prentiss, fell behind on their property taxes and had to work out a payment plan with the city of Southfield, Michigan, in order to keep their family home there. Eight former property owners are suing in federal court, including Tawanda Hall, who is suing on behalf of her family.

When the Halls' tax debt reached $22,642, Oakland County canceled their agreement and foreclosed on their property.

Southfield Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (SNRI), a private corporation run by City of Southfield officials, was used to "enrich" a private firm, rather than paying off the debt and returning the surplus—minus interest and penalties—to the Halls.

According to a report by The Detroit Free Press, "the county took over seven additional homeowners' properties in this instance and sold them to the Revitalization Initiative, which then sold them for more than $300,000," according to the report. PLF claimed in a statement that the Halls were not given any of the difference between the amount they owed and the sales price.

A municipal resolution passed in 2016 formalized this public-private partnership. On the state level, Southfield depends on a "right of first refusal" to purchase foreclosed properties from the county for the amount of tax debt. Non-profit housing corporation Southfield Non-Profit Housing Corporation reimburses city tax debt and hands over homes to the for-profit Revitalization Initiative for $1, PLF said.

It was reported by PLF that "after settling over $2 million in tax obligations to buy the properties from the city, [the business] earned as much as $10 million from 138 buildings between 2016 and 2019." When these assets were seized, they left the previous owners with nothing, and they were not compensated in any way for their losses."

This system is "troubling," "shocking to the conscience" and has caused "rightful suspicion among the voter," according to the PLF.

The Halls were worn down by the story. An weary and overworked Prentiss died from a brain injury acquired in an on-the-job fall—he was 52—six months after the family was forced to relocate," PLF stated.

The case is the latest in PLF's continuous efforts to combat home equity fraud throughout the country, according to the business. Typically, a late charge or a harshly worded warning follows when someone miscalculates a bill," according to the firm's website. However, what happens if you underpay your property taxes by a few dollars because you made an error in your calculations? You will be left with nothing once at least 12 states grab your property and sell it for profit."

This action, says PLF, would complete the work begun by Rafaeli LLC v. Oakland County, which resulted in a unanimous ruling by the Michigan Supreme Court prohibiting the theft of home equity via government foreclosure auctions.

In July 2020, the Epoch Times reported on this verdict. This court held that counties in Michigan can't hold money from the sale of real estate for delinquent taxes as a windfall profit for themselves.

According to court records, the plaintiff, who paid $60,000 for the Southfield rental property, owes $8.41 in back taxes from 2011, which ballooned to $285.81 after interest, fines, and fees. In response to the default, Oakland County foreclosed on the property, selling it at auction for $24,500 and retaining all of the sale profits over and above the tax debt.

Robert Wittenberg, the Oakland County Treasurer in Michigan, responded to the latest petition through email.

Because of this, we are committed to assisting Oakland County homeowners and business owners keep their properties while still following the letter of the law," the Oakland County Treasurer's Office said. That we will do everything that is legally required of us in Oakland County to keep property owners from losing their homes is unshakeable," said the Oakland County Board of Commissioners.

At the time of publication, no response has been received from the City of Southfield on this latest petition.

Case No. 19-8538 has been docketed (attached) and an opposition has been filed. I want you to know about this case because I am the only one bringing these God-given rights issues before the Highest court in the land, when no one else could or would do it. THE RULE OF LAW HAS COLLAPSED

For centuries, it has been an established tenet of Western jurisprudence that a person cannot be punished for a crime unless the government first convicts him of the crime in a court of law. After the Constitution called the federal government into existence, our American ancestors demanded that this principle be enshrined in the Bill of Rights because they were convinced that federal officials would end up violating it.

The Fifth Amendment states in part:

“No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury…. nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”

Cops across the country are padding their budgets with hundreds of millions of dollars by seizing property from American citizens, even when they have not been charged with a crime.

This process–called asset forfeiture–allows police to take property for themselves if they suspect it is being used for a crime, and though it was recently limited by Attorney General Eric Holder, it’s still ripe for abuse.

Loretta Lynch, President Obama’s nominee for attorney general, called asset forfeiture “a wonderful tool” during her confirmation hearing, so The Daily Caller News Foundation compiled seven of the most “wonderful” examples of the last decade.

1. Tan Nguyen hopped in his car excited about $50,000 in casino winnings. That excitement faded when he saw police lights in the rearview mirror. A Nevada police officer suspicious of the man’s large sum of cash confiscated it, Forbes reports. Nguyen said the cop threatened to seize and tow his car if he spoke up about it.

After hiring a lawyer, Nguyen was able to get his $50,000 back with attorney’s fees.

2. Matt Lee had his $2,400 cash confiscated from his car on a routine traffic stop. The worst part? It was taken by the same officer that targeted Nguyen: Deputy Lee Dove. In a shared settlement with Nguyen, Lee got his $2,400 back.

3. The Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit’s monthly “Funk Night” party got weird in May of 2008. The all-night dance party was raging when police burst in around 2 a.m., the Metro Times reports. Officers alleged the establishment did not have a license. They passed out loitering tickets and impounded 40 vehicles just because they were driven to the party. They all got their cars back. Oh, except for the one guy who had his car stolen from the impound lot. Also, they each paid a $900 impound fee, totaling more than $35,000.

4. Mississippi police pulled over a man for a routine traffic stop in July of 2013. An officer’s search of the vehicle found $360,000 in a secret compartment of the car. The police confiscated the money, though they had no proof the man committed a crime, ABC News reports. The report said cops “are not ruling out criminal activity.” Considering they confiscated his personal property, that seems right.

5. A New Jersey man’s stash of cash was taken by an officer when he traveled through Monterey, Tenn. George Reby had $22,000 cash in his car when he was stopped by a police officer, News Channel 5 reports. The officer took the money because he suspected it was drug money. However, the man said he was going to use the money to buy a car, for which he had active bids on eBay, something he was able to prove on his computer. When the officer wrote up the report, he failed to mention Reby’s claim that he was going to buy a car.

“If somebody told me this happened to them, I absolutely would not believe this could happen in America,” Reby told News Channel 5.

6. Even though they didn’t charge her with a crime, Georgia police took $11,530 from Alda Gentile at a regular traffic stop, The Associated Press reports. They searched the car for drugs but found none. Gentile said she had the money for a house-hunting trip to Florida.

7. A family in the Philadelphia suburbs that had their home seized by police because their son sold drugs out of the house, CNN reports. The son was charged for selling $40 of heroin, but the parents say they didn’t know about it. Source

What is “due process of law”? It is a phrase whose origin stretches all the way to Magna Carta in the year 1215. It means “notice and hearing.” In a criminal case, that means the federal government is prohibited from depriving a person of life, liberty, and property without a formally issued grand-jury indictment and a formal trial, where the government must prove a person’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. In a civil case, it means that the government must provide advance notice and a formal hearing or trial before it can deprive a person of his property.

The centuries-old judicial principle of due process of law was destroyed when Congress enacted what is called asset-forfeiture laws, which are part of the decades-long federal effort to win the war on drugs, which is arguably the most failed, deadly, destructive, and racially bigoted government program in our nation’s history.

Realizing that all of their previous efforts to “win” the war on drugs had failed, the feds came up with what they considered was a brilliant idea, but one that actually has turned out to be one great big crooked and corrupt racket that forcibly takes money out of the pockets of law-abiding citizens and puts it in the coffers of state cops and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, in direct contravention of the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment.

Here is how the system works.

The state police decide to stop a late-model car traveling down the highway that is being driven, say, by an African-American. The cop might come up with some excuse for the stop, such as a defective tail light. After asking for a driver’s license and car registration, the cop will ask the driver if it’s okay if he searches the vehicle. The driver, who has nothing to hide, says yes. The cop finds a case containing $10,000 in cash. The driver explains that he is on his way to buy a used car for his son.

What happens then? Under traditional rules of jurisprudence, nothing should happen except to let driver proceed on his way, with, at most, a citation for a defective tail light. The driver has not committed any other offenses. Under our system of justice, he should be free to be on his way.

But that’s not what happens under the asset-forfeiture law. The law permits the cops to assume that the cash must be “drug money.” Thus, the law now permits the cop to just take the driver’s money and transport it back to the police station, where the loot is divided up between the police department and the DEA.

Notice something important about this process: There are no criminal charges filed against the driver. There is no advance notice of the seizure. There is no hearing or trial before the seizure. People, especially poorer people, are having their money seized and taken from them by the cops in direct violation of the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment (as well as the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment).

The cops say to their victim: If you don’t like what we are doing to you, you can sue us. And they can. But as a practical  matter, most don’t. They just resign themselves to the theft of their money. After all, most of them don’t have the money to hire a lawyer to file a lawsuit in the hope of getting their money back. Even if they do, they know that they’ll have to pay the lawyer $300-$500 an hour, with no assurance that they will prevail in the litigation. It’s just not worth it to most people, especially most poorer people.

It’s a classic case of highway robbery at the hands of the state. It’s also a classic example of how Americans have had their liberty destroyed by their own government, which was precisely what our ancestors were trying to prevent when they enacted the Bill of Rights. Source

For these and many others, they choose to practice the 10 planks of communism rather than the 10 Commandments. This too is a sign of His soon return!

Since September 11, 2001, America has entered the dark side and the Babylonian spirit of lawlessness has overtaken the country. Prior to 9/11, America was different. Before 9/11, America was generally at peace and seen by the world as “a shining city upon a hill”.
We did not have Homeland Security.
We did not have an Iraq war pre-emptively waged against an enemy that had not attacked us.
Before 9/11, we did not have the Guantanamo Bay detention camp operated by the United States government illegally holding detainees indefinitely and using controversial interrogation techniques.
We began to torture people including waterboarding.
Before 9/11, we did not have Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq with human rights violations in the form of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse, including torture, reports of rape, sodomy, and homicide of prisoners committed by military police personnel of the United States Army together with additional US governmental agencies.
The Patriot Act was passed, significantly reducing restrictions in law enforcement agencies’ gathering of intelligence within the United States; expanded the Secretary of the Treasury’s authority to regulate financial transactions, and broadened the discretion of law enforcement and immigration authorities in detaining and deporting immigrants suspected of terrorism-related acts. The act also expanded the definition of terrorism to include domestic terrorism, thus enlarging the number of activities to which the USA PATRIOT Act’s expanded law enforcement powers can be applied.
The National Defense Authorization Act was passed, placing domestic terror investigations and interrogations into the hands of the military and which opened the door for trial-free, indefinite detention of anyone, including American citizens, so long as the government calls them terrorists.
The Constitution was trashed and Posse Comitatus was abandoned.
American citizens are now routinely surveilled by government agencies monitoring their voice and email communications.
Following the events of 9/11, the foreign policy of America changed and the spirit of Babylon erupted.

I believe America’s rejection of Christ’s lordship is the reason behind all the bloodshed, violence, racial hatred, moral decay, drug abuse and the outbreak of deadly sexual diseases in our society. Lawmakers, educators, and the media have made God an unspeakable subject. Even in prisons, there is a ban on religious mottos, including the ten commandments. Even worse, many of our churches no longer exalt Christ as Lord and king.

Rejection of God’s Word
Because man has rejected the truth of God’s Word, he has been given over to a reprobate mind that seeks self-gratification over responsibility to others.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. It’s the false teaching of Antinomianism that teaches since faith alone is necessary for salvation, one is free from the moral obligations of the law.

Typically, Antinomianism considers that law and freedom are opposed, that law is a restrictive mechanism, a product of civilization and therefore opposed to the free exercise of natural instincts. That is why antinomianism and naturalism, as Arnold Toynbee pointed out, are twin manifestations of the same movement. The New Testament declares that this distaste for the law will lead, not to the promised freedom, but to slavery (2 Pet. 2:19).

Even our national leaders now model this behavior, evident recently in the scandalous sexual behavior of the President followed by a widespread acceptance of his adulterous sin by the American public. And we are seeing the results of that reprobate mind with the increase in homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, euthanasia, drugs, crime, rebelliousness in youth, and every evil imagined by the heart of man.

Another disturbing trend is the increasing violence surrounding what should be peaceful protests. Militant protesters on both sides of the debate are arriving at what should be a nonviolent protest armed with sticks and guns, bleach bottles, balloons filled with feces and urine and improvised flamethrowers, and the law enforcement agencies stand by and allow it.

As my friend Nathan Leal points out, the mass suicide shootings and murder we are witnessing throughout America and the world are part of the fourfold judgment of God upon America. The displays of senseless violence, murder, and mayhem we have witnessed in recent years are part of that fourfold judgment upon America. God is allowing a new phase of demonic activity upon this country, and it is going to continue to escalate in the coming years as God continues to judge our nation.

The national corporate-owned fake news media sanitizes its coverage of the vile acts occurring in our society and only reports on a very few of them. Vast numbers of senseless acts of violence go unreported because their reality would be too graphic for a national audience.

On the other hand, Hollywood is more than happy to dramatize the satanic inspired violence to satiate the desires of a wayward populace. The recent popularity of “zombie” themed programming may actually be more prophetic than many realize of a coming “zombie apocalypse” of evil beasts released on the land.

The liberal mainstream media has shown only tiny fragments of video shot by The Center for Medical Progress exposing human trafficking by Planned Parenthood. Democrat politicians in Washington shamelessly defended Planned Parenthood stating the videos were highly edited and misleading. Anybody watching the hours of video captured would plainly see they were not highly edited and very clear that Planned Parenthood officials were trafficking in baby body parts for profit.

Very little attention was given to the account of U.S. Army captain Dan Quinn and Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland who have been relieved of their duties and later involuntarily separated from the Army. What was their crime? In 2011, they had intervened in the Afghanistan custom of bacha bazi, or “boy play,” in which young Afghans are used as sex slaves by grown men. This time-honored tradition might include child pornography, sexual slavery and child prostitution in which prepubescent and adolescent boys are sold to wealthy or powerful men for entertainment and sexual activities. Quinn and Martland beat up an American-backed militia commander for keeping a boy chained to his bed as a sex slave.

The Apostle Paul said that in the last day’s man would be “brutal.” The Greek, ‘anemeros’ literally means “untamed, savage, or brutal.” He also said that the last days’ man would not be lovers of the good – possibly better translated as “haters of the good.”

Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. – Romans 1:28-32

Our city streets have become asphalt jungles. Many of them are unsafe even in the daytime. Gang violence has increased, drive-by shootings and other random violence have become standard fare as people have become more brutal.

The Spirit of lawlessness is breaking out across America and has spread to younger age groups. Teenagers have lost all respect for authority – they are becoming hard-hearted, sensual and violent. “The increases in violence we’re observing are among very young people and they are very dramatic,” said Glenn Pierce, the director of Northeastern’s Center for Applied Social Research. This crime wave isn’t confined to inner-city neighborhoods in large urban areas. Cities with populations of 25,000 saw a 40 percent increase in homicides – the same as cities 10 times their size. The Washington Post concluded, “While the severity of actions ranges from simple cheating at school to pushing drugs, to cold-blooded murders … the depth of the problem has reached a point where common decency can no longer be described as common. Somewhere, somehow … the traditional value system got disconnected for a disturbing number of America’s next generation.”

In New York City a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed by his 15-year-old best friend. The 15-year-old killed him and then stole the coat and shoes from the corpse. Worst of all, the teenage killer had no feeling of remorse.
Another 15-year-old boy sprayed bullets around the parking lot of a convenience store, killing a teenage boy. When questioned later, he had not even a tinge of guilt or sorrow. Instead, he displayed hatred and a desire to do it all over again if he had the opportunity. He had no remorse whatsoever.
14-year-old Marcy Conrad of Milpitas, California, had been raped, strangled to death, and left lying off the road in the hills outside of town. According to the local paper, at least 13 students went out to look at her body. One girl picked up the murdered girl’s jeans, cut off a patch, and threw the jeans down along the side of the road. One student tried to cover the body with leaves. Another took his eight-year-old brother along to see the body. One boy went twice. Those who saw the body went back to class or to the pinball arcade. One went home to bed. Another student said he only cared about collecting the marijuana cigarette he had won on a bet that the body was real. As the newspaper reported: “The shock is the shock of the encounter with icy indifference, the indifference of the kids in the first instance, but much more importantly, of the culture that produced them… The depersonalization did not begin yesterday; it is not unique to this moment, yet it seems more complete – and they seem more alienated and isolated – than we have ever known before.”
14-year-old Tanisha Lee was stabbed in a hallway fight at Wichita’s East High School and later died.
In 2016, homicides in Chicago IL jumped to their highest level since 1996, when 796 were recorded, according to historical data from the Chicago Police Department. Chicago saw 3,550 shooting incidents and 762 murders in 2016, an average of more than two murders and nearly 10 shootings every single day. 2016 totals represent a 57 percent increase over 2015, the biggest spike in murders in Chicago in 60 years, according to the Associated Press.

The problem is not isolated only to the United States. Urban violence is exploding in countries around the world. In the rapidly growing cities of Latin America and Asia, in European capitals freeing themselves from years of communist rule, and in societies in the throes of political and social change in Africa and the Middle East, millions of people have been frightened and angered by a seemingly boundless wave of bloodshed. As in the United States, criminals abroad are increasingly armed with sophisticated weapons and police are out-manned; increasingly too there is despair over the inability of political leaders to stop the killing.

Public order has disappeared in “the new South Africa.” Crime is rampant. In Cape Town, a serious crime occurs every 17 seconds. Police have 1,227,047 unsolved cases under review, according to Crime Investigation Services divisional chief Johan le Rous. It is increasingly dangerous in South Africa to own a nice car since roving gangs of unemployed thugs surround nice cars at intersections, drag the driver and passengers out, beat them brutally, then drive off with the car – just for a wild “joy ride” in which the car is vandalized or wrecked.

Because we have rejected objective truth and the foundation of all that is good, we no longer even know the difference between good and evil. Our consciences have been so seared we are no longer offended by evil but tolerate it.

Since virtually all perverted behavior people engage in is now categorized under “natural behavior,” a door is now opened for more wicked sins. Just thirty years ago we would have been appalled, even outraged, by the decadence and debauchery that daily fills our streets, TV shows, movie screens, music and art, video games, businesses, and political bodies. But today we rarely give it a second thought. In fact, we often give it our approval, or a least fail to speak out against it. We have gotten used to it all, even though it is not a good thing to get used to.

Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan wrote in the American Scholar, “The amount of deviant behavior in American society has increased beyond the levels the community can ‘afford to recognize’ and that, accordingly, we have been re-defining deviancy so as to exempt much conduct previously stigmatized, and also quietly raising the ‘normal’ level in categories where behavior is now abnormal by any earlier standard.” [Daniel Patrick Moynihan, “Defining Deviancy Down,” American Scholar, Winter 1993, pg. 17.]

As a society, we have gotten used to illicit sexual relationships, adolescent promiscuity, abortion, cheating, lying, stealing, prostitution, rape, divorce, and even murder. We have gotten used to financial mismanagement on both civil and personal levels. We have accepted political corruption. We have rejected personal and social responsibility and learned to blame anyone or anything else for our problems and failures. We have traded in our infinitely valued divine image for a nickel-plated pagan shrine erected in honor of self-interest, immorality, and social apathy. The American ideal today is me first to do what I want, when I want, to whom I want, regardless of who or what it may hurt. These are the signs of a society gone wrong. [Keith A. {short description of image}There are many factors in the increase in crimes committed by students beyond what our learned liberal social scientists understand. Listen to the pundits on TV and other media and you’ll quickly discover they haven’t got a clue. Or perhaps, they do but since it doesn’t fit their collectivist agenda, they choose to ignore them. They all simply refuse to address the real problems for fear of offending someone, losing grant money, or losing advertising revenues.

Let me suggest some rather unpopular and politically incorrect reasons for the rise of violence among the youth and who shares in the responsibility.

Family Breakdown
The breakdown of two-parent families is more than obvious. Just 40 years ago families usually lived close to grandparents. Fathers were responsible for the welfare of the family. Moms generally stayed home. It was safe to walk to school or go to the movies unattended.

Today, statistics show divorce is at an all-time high in the United States. It is now so common for young people to grow up in divorced households that the term “broken family” is now a forgotten expression in popular culture. Fathers are living apart from their natural children. Mothers no longer stay at home but work as ahead of the household. As a result, women in our society have lost their feminine identity and the moral authority of fathers is undermined by a society that no longer embraces the structure of the family.

In a recent study released by Metropolitan Life and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Center for Workforce Preparation, students were asked why they do not talk about their problems in school or about disagreements with other students. “Those who have been victims of violence are more likely to believe their parents cannot help (29 percent), that adults do not understand their problems (47 percent), that they will get into trouble (22 percent) and that their parents are not interested or are too busy to help them (17 percent).” (cited in Dr. Billy James Hargis, “Why are U.S. schools wracked with gunfire?,” Christian Crusade, June 1998).

The Environment
The environment in which children are being raised has changed dramatically in recent years, creating new anxieties for mothers and fathers. Unspeakable dangers haunt our schools and streets that were almost unheard of a generation ago. Yesterday’s families didn’t worry much about drive-by shootings, illegal drugs, sexual molesters and kidnappers. When I was a child, my folks were more concerned about a disease called polio than all sources of violence combined. In my adolescent years, I moved about freely and played without worry. If I was a half-hour late coming home for dinner, my family was not seized by panic. Now we worry about our kids playing in the front yard. Indeed, little Polly Klaas was abducted from her bedroom in 1993, where she was surrounded by friends, and then was brutally murdered for the perverse pleasure of her killer.

For years, one of the Liberal’s favorite reasons for violence was the environment children are raised in. They liked to say that it was poverty that drives these kids to violence. They are now having to back away from that a little as the violence spreads into middle-class suburbia. The 15-year-old student in Springfield, Oregon who shot his parents and gunned down his fellow students was from a good family, on the right side of town. The high-school freshman lived in a big, beautiful house. He hung out with the preppies at school and played football. He was just an average, everyday kid. The High School senior involved in the shooting in Fayetteville Tennessee was among the top 25 students in the 307-member senior class.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Liberals are missing the bigger picture – they ignore the personal responsibility of each and every one of us.

It’s a lack of parental supervision at home, a lack of family involvement in school, and homes where children get NO religious training. It’s the isolation, rejection, and loneliness these kids feel in their broken and dysfunctional families. These kids have lost that family “connectedness” of feeling loved, wanted and cared about my parents and being satisfied with the relationship to the mother and/or father. Many kids are doomed to go through life not knowing God and that He loves them and is there for them and that He can help them in times of need.

Yes, the often-violent cultural environment we live in is a contributing factor in the violence. It’s an environment where parents are replaced with guidance counselors, love is replaced with distrust and hate, personal responsibility is replaced with socialist government programs, truth is replaced with relativism, sacrifice is replaced with selfishness, and God is replaced with chaos and evil.

Moral Relativity
We have abandoned the traditional notion of right and wrong and personal responsibility. These children have been raised in the liberal politically correct philosophies of “tolerance” and “there is no one right way” of doing things. So, given their supposition that there is more than one right way to deal with a relationship gone bad, why not shoot her? Hey, we need to tolerate these kid’s differences, right?

For 20 years or more, relative truth – what’s good for you – has been taught, rather than biblically-based absolute truth. We have indulged a generation: ‘You have a right to your feelings,’ instead of the biblical idea that you need to have self-control.

Hypocrisy
We tell these kids that Joe Camel is bad for them but glamorize and condone alcohol. Teachers send children to their alcoholic homes where they are abused by a drunk parent and then respond by calling Juvenile authorities who take them out of the home and place them in foster care. These hypocritical messages are received by the kids who learn they are only pawns meant to be played by some liberal political cause.

Then confront them with their detestable practices, for they have committed adultery and blood is on their hands. They committed adultery with their idols; they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore to me as food for them. [Ezekiel 23:36-37]

We tell them that drugs will harm them. Yet, at home, their medicine cabinet is full of all sorts of drugs: drugs for headaches, allergies, asthma, heartburn, nasal congestion, impotence, or hair loss. Worse yet, we give our kids Prozac or other drugs to control their behavior, but tell them that pleasurable drugs like marijuana are bad for them. Hardly a consistent message.

Public Government Schools
It should be no surprise of the escalation of violence in our public government-run schools. It is within the walls of those schools where our children are taught to reject God, to embrace moral relativity, and to disrespect life.

God has been banned from our schools. Prayer is outlawed. Christian expression is stifled and mocked. The very foundation upon which our laws are based and upon which morality is judged – “The Ten Commandments” has been removed. “Thou Shalt Not Kill” is a principle not deemed important in our schools.

Public education has rather taken up the mantle of the likes of John Dewey and his ilk teaching the religion of Secular Humanism. It should be no surprise our kids act the way they do… they’re only doing what they’ve been taught. We are teaching in our children in schools across the nation that they evolved from reptiles and animals. Why should we be surprised when they act like animals?

Our schools are teaching our youngsters that premarital sex is alright if they only practice “safe sex” and protect themselves from the disease. If a young girl happens to get pregnant from this enlightened view of sex, no problem … the Planned Parenthood trained school counselor just sends them to a local abortionist to kill the baby. Today, popular culture views abortion as a “right.” And, what’s the bottom line lesson? Life is cheap! When we, as a society, can condone the killing of 1.4 million babies a year, what message can we be giving besides, “life is cheap.” When women are given the power to decide if a helpless baby in their womb is going to die, then don’t be so surprised when they think that a baby is subject to their will, and kill it five seconds after it’s born and throw it in a dumpster, or five years after it’s born. The principle of violence is the same.

TV Anchor Hugh Downs introduced a 1991 ABC News segment: “Your child could be in a class that only a few years ago might have been unthinkable- death education. These classes are supposed to prepare young people for coping with death and while most schools make it part of a health class, some actually make it an entire course.” Tom Jarriel went on to report how Tara Becker, a junior at Columbine High in Littleton, Colorado believed she was seduced into a suicide attempt by her Death Ed class. Becker told the news magazine: “I had thought about [suicide] as a possible option for a lot of years, but I never would have gone through with it, never, because I wasn’t brave enough. The things that we learned in the class taught us how to be brave enough to face death.” [Drudge Report, April 24, 1999]

Steadily, society’s undermining of life is growing to include calls for legalizing euthanasia, assisted suicide, and scientific experimentation. Is it any wonder these kids don’t have respect for life? We are, in fact, teaching them to disrespect life.

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. [Matthew 24:9-14]

Corrupt Government
A government that lives off of society’s moral decay is another reason for the out of control violence we are beginning to see.

The Roman civilization crumbled under the weight of an immoral and corrupt government. Over the years, our government has devised the creation of whole agencies that exist for no other reason than to manage some of the most immoral aspects of the culture. The National Endowment for the Arts and the Legal Services Corporation are examples of agencies that foster society’s decline.

Within the judicial branch of government, judges accountable to no one have helped undermine the religious freedoms that were once the centerpiece of our society. Laws once protected children and families. Criminals were punished severely for rape. People were arrested for cohabitation and adultery. Sodomy, outlawed in every state, was listed in the newspaper as a “crime against nature.” A couple having a child out of wedlock was ostracized, and homosexuality was as foreign to the world as walking on the moon.

Psychiatric Drugs
Prozac and its family of psychotropic drugs are at the heart of 99% off mass murder shootings. Nearly every mass shooting that has taken place in America over the last two decades has a link to psychiatric medication, and it appears the tragic event in Connecticut is headed in the same direction. According to ABC News, Adam Lanza, the alleged shooter, has been labeled as having “mental illness” and a “personality disorder.” These are precisely the words typically heard in a person who is being “treated” with mind-altering psychiatric drugs. The Columbine High School shooters were on psychiatric drugs at the time they shot their classmates in 1999.

One of the most common side effects of psychiatric drugs is violent outbursts and thoughts of suicide.

Medications are far more deadly than guns. Medications kill roughly 100,000 Americans each year according to study statistics. The actual number is either 98,000 or 106,000 depending on which study you believe. For guns to be as deadly as medications, you’d have to see a Newton-style massacre happening ten times a day, every day of the year. Only then would “gun violence” even match up to the number of deaths caused by doctor-prescribed, FDA-approved medications.

SSRIs, or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, are the pharmaceutical companies’ latest cash cows. Their use has skyrocketed in the last ten years. Nicknamed “Chemical Babysitters” and designated antidepressants, they are causing dozens of murders, thousands of psychoses and are altering the minds of millions of users. All but a very few of the latest “Mass Murderers” have been on these drugs. Schools encourage parents to put their children on these drugs for the smallest signs of “non-conformity”. Government schools receive more money for “disabled” students.

Likely due to pressure from the pharmaceutical industry-heavy advertisers in all media-the national debate on the epidemic of teen violence has ignored the widespread use of prescription drugs in teens and particularly those who have committed monstrous acts. However, the drug-violence link is frighteningly common. Fifteen-year-old Shawn Cooper of Notus, Idaho, fired a shotgun at students and school staff. According to his stepfather, he had been taking an SSRI. Thirteen-year-old Chris Fetters of Iowa killed her favorite aunt. She was taking Prozac. Kip Kinkel, a 15-year-old youth, went on a rampage in Oregon. He first shot and killed his parents, spent the night with the bodies (characteristic of the dissociative reaction these drugs often cause), then killed two and wounded 22 of his fellow students at Thurston High School. He was taking Prozac.

Rejection of God
The primary reason for our lust for violence is that our society no longer worships or acknowledges God.

Christianity had played a significant role in providing a standard in judging education, legislation, and behavior-both public and private, yet today, it has actually become unpopular to advocate traditional Judeo-Christian values, such as the Ten Commandments. Thanks to Political Correctness, the popular culture ridicules those who worship God as the sovereign creator. Instead, it is popular to put our faith and trust in ourselves or in other creations of God.

Hosea describes the terrible harvest reaped by those who reject God and turn to themselves (Hosea 9 & 10).

“They have sunk deep into corruption,” (9:9) “all their leaders are rebellious,” (9:15) and “because they have not obeyed him.” (9:17).

God said their wickedness was in turning away from his counsel, ignoring his word and obeying man instead.

What was the result of this sin?

Total emptiness. “Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself” (Hos. 10:1) Everyone was looking out for himself – and the result was total emptiness.
The heart is divided. “Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.” (Hos. 10:2) Our nation’s heart is divided. Our society no longer trusts God, turning instead to the government, the President, the educational system, Social Security – all to try to find some kind of stability. Americans pay lip service to God and religion, but they don’t worship the Lord in truth. And that has led directly to the breakdown of all our hallowed institutions. Verse 8 says, “The high places of wickedness will be destroyed.” Do we not see our government being destroyed by corruption and scandal? Our most hallowed office, the Presidency, is mocked and laughed at by the nations of the world because of the wickedness we’ve allowed to creep in. The once-great educational system in America no longer educates our children. And, not far from the lips of nearly all politicians is the vain cry to “save Social Security.”
Lawsuits abound. “They make many promises, take false oaths and make agreements; therefore lawsuits spring up like poisonous weeds in a plowed field.” (Hos. 10:4). Throughout our nation today people are suing others for everything. The price of all our products has skyrocketed because of the cost of litigation and insurance to protect companies from bankruptcy.
War overtakes them. “nations will be gathered against them to put them in bonds for their double sin.” (Hos. 10:10) America has been for years and is now embroiled in wars and conflicts all over the globe. And on Sept. 11th, the enemies of this country brought the battle to our land.
A toilsome yoke. “Ephraim is a trained heifer that loves to thresh; so I will put a yoke on her fair neck.” (Hos. 10:11). Because America has rejected God, it’s people will work harder and reap less. Today in America many families have been devastated as both parents have to work sometimes multiple jobs just to make ends meet.

Darrell Scott, the father of two victims at Columbine High School, addressed the Subcommittee on Crime of the House Judiciary Committee May 27, 1999, saying:

“Since the dawn of creation, there has been both good and evil in the heart of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence.

“The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher and the other 11 children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

“The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain’s heart.

“In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA.

“I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA — because I don’t believe that they are responsible for my daughter’s death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder I would be their strongest opponent.

“I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy — it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies!

“Much of that blame lies here in this room. Much of that blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves.

“I wrote a poem just 4 nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way before I knew I would be speaking here today:

“Your laws ignore our deepest needs
Your words are empty air
You’ve stripped away our heritage
You’ve outlawed simple prayer

“Now gunshots fill our classrooms
And precious children die
You seek for answers everywhere
And ask the question ‘Why’?

“You regulate restrictive laws
Through legislative creed
And yet you fail to understand
That God is what we need!

“Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, soul, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc.

“Spiritual influences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation’s history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact.

“What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in doing so, we open the doors to hatred and violence.

“And when something as terrible as Columbine’s tragedy occurs — politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that continue to erode away our personal and private liberties.

“We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre.

“The real villain lies within our own hearts.

“Political posturing and restrictive legislation are not the answers.

“The young people of our nation hold the key.

“There is a spiritual awakening taking place that will not be squelched!

“We do not need more religion. We do not need more gaudy television evangelists spewing out verbal religious garbage. We do not need more million dollar church buildings built while people without basic needs are being ignored.

“We do need a change of heart and a humble acknowledgment that this nation was founded on the principle of simple trust in God!

“As my son, Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes — He did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right!

“I challenge every young person in America and around the world to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School — prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain.

“Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your conscience and denies your God-given right to communicate with Him.

“To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA — I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before you cast the first stone!

“My daughter’s death will not be in vain. The young people of this country will not allow that to happen.”

Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD until he comes and showers righteousness on you. But you have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception. Because you have depended on your own strength and on your many warriors, the roar of battle will rise against your people, so that all your fortresses will be devastated. [Hosea 10:12-14]

Unless we return to trusting God, this great nation will be destroyed, “all our fortresses will be devastated”. We must stop this madness of looking to our own goodness and wisdom for the answers – we will only come up empty and the blood of those lost will be on our hands.

President Clinton and Al Gore promised Americans a brighter future at the other end of his bridge to the 21st Century. But folks, their bridge does not lead to a bright future… it leads to death and destruction! It’s a bridge where God is not invited to cross.

Many voices in our society today accuse Christians of believing they have God on their side. They really miss the point. It’s not an issue of whose side God is on, but on whose side we are on – are you on God’s side or on man’s side?

… if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

MIND GAMES AND BLURRED REALITY

Mid-afternoon, Tuesday, March 24. A fire alarm sounds. Teachers and students evacuate the school as had been practiced. Pop-pop-pop. Gunfire rings out. Children and teachers drop to the ground. Impressed, the audience cheers. Until they realize that it wasn’t a dramatization. A few students had just applauded the death of their friends and a teacher!
This horrific punctuation to a real-life tragedy hasn’t been discussed much in the media. John Kifner wrote about it in last Friday’s (Mar. 27) New York Times. Arkansas talk radio has been abuzz about it. Little has been said on the national level.

10 Planks of Communism

Karl Marx describes in his Communist Manifesto, the ten steps necessary to destroy a free enterprise system and replace it with a system of omnipotent government power, so as to effect a communist socialist state.

America has been increasingly adopting more of Marx’s ideas, sometimes more subtle than other times, yet sometimes rather openly. Many have argued the policies of Franklin D. Roosevelt began the movement toward Marxism on a large scale.  More recently, President Obama openly suggested Marxist ideologies and surrounded himself with numerous outspoken Marxists.

Obama’s socialist backing goes back at least to 1996 when he received the endorsement of the Chicago branch of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) for an Illinois state senate seat. [Cliff Kincaid, Accuracy in the Media] Obama was later endorsed by the Communist Party USA in his run for President of the United States.

In 2006, Obama endorsed openly Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders. How he lost to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Democrat nomination has been speculated by many to be the result of election fraud.  Nonetheless, an increasingly large proportion of the American public embraces Marxism/Socialism.

Watchman: America Doesn’t Know Right From Wrong—Because We’ve Thrown out the Bible

Following are the original ten planks within the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx in 1848, followed by a discussion of how America has adopted each of the planks.

1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rent to public purpose.

The courts have interpreted the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (1868) to give the government far more “eminent domain” power than was originally intended. Under the rubric of “eminent domain” and various zoning regulations, land use regulations by the Bureau of Land Management property taxes, and “environmental” excuses, private property rights have become very diluted. As a result, private property in lands, vehicles, and other forms are seized almost every day in this country under the “forfeiture” provisions of the RICO statutes and the so-called War on Drugs. Then, there are the unconstitutional red flag laws states are passing that empowers authorities to confiscate guns from law-abiding citizens.  Private owners of the property are required to get permission from the government relative to the use of their property. Those who do hold property are required to pay taxes on that property in order to keep it.  Non-payment of taxes results in fines, imprisonment, and confiscation of the property.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

The 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, 1913 (which some scholars maintain was never properly ratified), the Social Security Act of 1936, Joint House Resolution 192 of 1933, and various State income taxes established this major Marxist coup in the United States many decades ago. These progressive taxes have replaced tithing for many and continue to drain the lifeblood out of the American economy and greatly reduce the accumulation of desperately needed capital for future growth, business starts, job creation, and salary increases. The income tax requires of us that we serve two masters in violation of Matt. 6:24; requires of us that we rob God in violation of Mal. 3:8; requires of us that commit idolatry in violation of Ex. 20:3; requires of us to use unjust weights and measures in violation of Lev. 19:35-36; and requires us to sign contracts with foreign and alien gods in violation of Ex. 23:32-33.

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.

Another Marxist attack on private property rights is in the form of Federal & State estate taxes and other inheritance taxes, which have abolished or at least greatly diluted the right of private property owners to determine the disposition and distribution of their estates upon their death.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.

We call it government seizures, tax liens, “forfeiture” Public “law” 99-570 (1986); Executive order 11490, sections 1205, 2002 which gives private land to the Department of Urban Development; and the IRS confiscation of property without due process. The U.S. government is preparing now for a massive confiscation of property of patriots who speak out or write against the “government” (1997 Crime/Terrorist Bill).

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

The Federal Reserve System, created by the Federal Reserve Act of Congress in 1913, is indeed such a “national bank” and it politically manipulates interest rates and holds a monopoly on legal counterfeiting in the United States. All local banks are members of the Fed system and are regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) another privately-owned corporation. The Federal Reserve Banks issue Fiat Paper Money and practice economically destructive fractional reserve banking. This is exactly what Marx had in mind and completely fulfills this plank.

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State.

In the U.S., all electronic communication (mass media) is controlled and regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) established by the Communications Act of 1934. Transportation is controlled and regulated by the Department of Transportation and the Interstate Commerce Commission (established by Congress in 1887), and the Federal Aviation Administration as well as Executive orders 11490, 10999 — not to mention various state bureaucracies and regulations including State-mandated driver’s licenses. Federal Highway Act of 1916 made federal funds available to States for highway construction), the Interstate Highway System, 1944 (funding began 1956); Interstate Commerce Commission was given authority by Congress to regulate trucking and carriers on inland waterways, 1935-40. There is also the federal postal monopoly, AMTRAK, and CONRAIL — outright socialist (government-owned) enterprises. Instead of free-market private enterprise in these important industries, these fields in America are semi-cartels through the government’s regulatory-industrial complex.

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State, the bringing into cultivation of wastelands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

We call it corporate capacity, The Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture. As well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations. The Agriculture Adjustment Act of 1933 provided that farmers will receive government aid if and only if they relinquish control of farming activities.

8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

We call it Social Security, a social welfare scheme that takes the place of strict liability (Ex. 21:28-36) and individual responsibility and violates the 10th Commandment by appealing to our lust and greed. Some may call this income redistribution, but the Bible calls it covetousness and theft in violation of Ex. 20:15-17. This and other social programs have enslaved us and future generations with a National debt that can never be repaid and inflation caused by the Federal Reserve has caused the need for a two “income” family.

The Department of Labor and it’s seen in Minimum Wage and slave labor like dealing with our Most Favored Nation trade partner; i.e. Communist China. Women in the workplace since the 1920s, the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, assorted Socialist Unions, affirmative action, the Federal Public Works Program and of course Executive order 11000. And I almost forgot…The Equal Rights Amendment means that women should do all work that men do include the military and since passage, it would make women subject to the draft.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.

We call it Agenda 21, the Planning Reorganization Act of 1949, zoning (Title 17 1910-1990) and Super Corporate Farms, as well as Executive orders 11647, 11731 (ten regions) and Public “law” 89-136. Food processing companies, with the co-operation of the Farmers Home Administration foreclosures, are buying up farms and creating “conglomerates.”

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children’s factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.

Americans are being taxed to support what we call ‘public’ schools, but are actually “government force-tax-funded schools“. Even private schools are government regulated. The purpose is to train the young to work for the communal debt system. From Bernie Sanders to Hillary Clinton to Elizabeth Warren, Communist influenced lawmakers are increasingly calling for free education for all.  Whether it’s the Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based Education, the Marxist agenda is evident. The federal influence of education is evident in “head-start” programs, school lunch programs, “no child left behind”, textbooks, and library books. Our children are being indoctrinated and inculcated with the government propaganda, like “majority rules”, and “pay your fair share”. WHERE are the words “fair share” in the Constitution, Bill of Rights or the Internal Revenue Code (Title 26)? NOWHERE is “fair share” even suggested! The philosophical concept of “fair share” comes from the Communist maxim, “From each according to their ability, to each according to their need!” This concept is pure socialism.

The New World Order IS NOT New

The first attempt to establish a New World Order was by united humanity of the generations following the Great Flood, speaking a single language and migrating from the east, who came to the land of Shinar and built the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11).

In his historic address to the United Nations on December 7, 1988, the Soviet Prime Minister made this dogmatic and even prophetic statement: “Further global progress is now possible only through a quest for universal consensus in the movement towards new world order.”

George Bush proved to be a good and faithful servant of the “brotherhood“ in making the “New World Order” agenda a priority focus of his administration.

New World Order

Just before leaving for Helsinki, Finland, early in September 1990 to discuss the Persian Gulf crisis at his summit meeting with Soviet President Gorbachev, President George Bush expressed the hope that “the foundation for the new world order would be laid in Helsinki” and that it would be established under the United Nations.

The New World Order was next established as a legitimate national agenda in 1993 by a socialist Democrat, Bill Clinton.

Both George Bush and Bill Clinton were beholding to the same secret orders, codes, and financiers, and as a result, probably engineered the change of Presidents by manipulating the American people to pull the plug on Bush. George Bush may have actually been running a campaign to LOSE the presidency.

Globalists welcomed this as democracy’s finest hour – through manipulation, the democratic system installed a socialist, new age, a one-world leader with the charismatic appeal of John F. Warfare and poverty are to be eliminated in their “village” and everyone is permanently happy due to government-provided bread and circuses.
