Featured Story

For the serious student of the Bible it seems that when they get off track it is most often because they do not come to a clear Biblical understanding of where the law fits in the believer’s life. Or if they have they have placed it where God never meant it to be. Because the law is to have no place in the believer’s life at all. None whatsoever. Because for a person to be a believer means they are joined to Christ. And Paul who spent a lot of time teaching this says in Rom.7:4 that to be joined to Christ one must be dead to the law. How dead does Paul say the law is to be to the believer? Paul says the law must be as dead to us as the husband who has died is to the woman he was married to. Now that’s dead. A complete separation.

the Law Vs the Grace

Of course Paul was addressing this to the Jew who was under the law. Because the Gentile, that’s anyone who is not an Israelite, has never been joined to the law. And they must remain that way to be joined with Christ. So contrary to what some believe we do not join ourselves to the law when we come to faith in Jesus to show our love for Him. Paul wrote Galatians1:6-12 addressing this by saying,

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

When people come to Christ and are told they must keep the law to show their love for God they are being made prey to a form of religion and not a relationship. It is a form of godliness that Paul said denies God’s power. And by doing so have set themselves up for the worst of all ends. Because there are religions that have sprung up around this view that are very dangerous to the unsuspecting and non vigilant.

One of these is a religion that preys on those who are joined to the law. It’s not legalism. Because as bad as legalism is this religion is much more diabolical even than that. And it will lead those who have been deceived by it into a world of magic and sorcery.

They will come to believe it is from God. But, it’s not from the true God. It is from satan the master deceiver. He will bring them to believe things like, because Jesus is said to be the word in John1:1, this makes Jesus the Torah itself. They come to believe that Jesus is the Old Covenant incarnate. Which leads them to the understanding that because Jesus is the Torah, worshipping Him is to worship Torah. Because to these He is a creation of Torah come to life. This is why they believe that they too must be subject to the Torah. When the truth is that Jesus is the fulfillment of what the prophets said. Not the very words themselves incarnate. I’ve had people tell me that “the law is God”. These have fallen prey to satan. And have made God part of creation rather than the Creator.

This kind of thinking may lead them to a much greater darkness. The kind of which has no place in the believer’s life. But, becomes who they are because they have come to believe they are subject to whatever they think Jesus was subject to because they believe Him to be the Torah incarnate. But, if you will recall, Jesus said He was Lord of the sabbath. And He ate in the cornfield on the sabbath day. So Jesus was not subject to Torah. It is subject to Him. He is not Torah incarnate. He is the one who gave the Torah.

The Sabbath was Made for Man - not man for the Sabbath

Jesus not only said He was Lord of the sabbath. He also said that the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. Showing that neither He nor any man is subject to it. But, that it was here for them. Not them for it. It is in this way that we see that neither Jesus nor any man is subject to the Torah. Because it is not the Torah that delivers mankind from mortality. It is the person of Jesus that delivers mankind. Just as it is the person Jesus that created and gave the Torah to Israel.

It is the sacrifice of Jesus Himself that delivers mankind from mortality to immortality. It is not the word itself that becomes life in us. It is the hearing of God’s word that does. Because Rom.10:17 says it is the hearing of God’s word that brings the gift of faith. And it comes because we believe what we hear. And when we believe what we hear God births in us the spirit. Making us His child. But, like Jesus, we are not the word incarnate. But, only the fulfillment of what God’s word says.

Jesus accomplished this by His sacrifice by which power was given to a New Covenant wherein is eternal life. A covenant that Hebrews tells us is “A better covenant with better promises” than there was in the Old Covenant with it’s Torah. A covenant that will never pass away as the Torah and Old Covenant has because of Jesus’ sacrifice as Heb.10:9 says. He takes away the first to establish the second. The gift of immortality is the better covenant with better promises the New Covenant has over the Old Covenant.

This is why the apostle Paul said that Jesus came to deliver the Israelite who had made themselves subject to the Torah from it to a personal relationship with the God that gave them the Torah. Because it is not the Torah that saves. It is Jesus who saves. He had to tell them this because they had placed the Torah between themselves and God as some kind of a pathway to righteousness and acceptability before God. But, the apostles were very clear that righteousness unto eternal life does not come through Torah or law keeping. But, that righteousness comes by the faith of Christ(Gal.2:16). And that it is this righteousness of faith that gives eternal life. Not some mumbo jumbo found in Kabbalah or Hebrew Roots or any of the other myriad forms of Torah worship.

There are many in our world today sometimes in some very influential positions that have been deceived by the religion of Kabbalah. They can be seen sometimes doing their hand gestures and wearing their red string on their wrists as a show of adherence to Kabbalah. They can even seem to have a Christian veneer while really only expressing the magic and sorcery that is the religious practice of the Kabbalist.

This is why so many times we hear them saying one thing and see them doing another. This is a deception they are using to deceive others who are not in their religion so that they think they are on their side. They might say they are pro life for instance. While semi covertly they sign laws that support abortion with millions of tax dollars. And even overtly express support for the abomination of homosexuality. Using a live and let live mentality to show why even though they say that they do not personally believe it is ok, they still think it should be accepted and even promoted in normal society.

Cutting Through The Crap: Trump, Unmasked

Of course I am speaking about Donald Trump. Which should make us all question whether he is who we think he is. He may not be the only one in power to be involved in this false religion of antichrist either. As we can see in the recent article that StevieRay Hansen posted here https://hnewswire.com/theres-no-doubt-pres-trump-is-our-cyrus-of-modern-time-there/#comment-62795. As Christians we need to be aware of these attacks from Satan so that we can keep these fiery darts from hell from having an affect on us. I appreciate the stand that StevieRay and others have taken to unmask those who would deceive us.

In the end it is as it has always been. The believer needs to be vigilant so that the enemy satan does not deceive and devour them. We need to keep ourselves in the word of God. So that when these subtle lies come from the enemy we will immediately lay them up against what the Bible says, as Jesus did when satan tempted Him, to recognize and reject them by the scriptures.

Knowing the Bible has never been more important than it is today. Because satan has taken on the form of an angel to deceive all who will be deceived. The form of ministers of righteousness so that they use the word of God in their deception.

For the unsaved there is hardly anything they can do for protection from his lies. Because they have not yet availed themselves to the promise of eternal life from Jesus, and the protection and instruction that comes by way of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling for the believer. For Paul said that the believer is in constant communion with God through the Holy Spirit “comparing spiritual things with spiritual”. But, that the unbeliever is natural and can not perceive the things of the Spirit of God.

This is something Paul says the natural man can not do. Nor the man that has been deceived by false religion and is in total rejection of Jesus. Because these things are only known to the spiritual man who is made that way by the spirit birth.

This spirit birth that has been made available to all by the death and resurrection of Jesus. If we will trust in Him and His resurrection we can have the immortality that Jesus came to give us. The immortality that all men so desperately need. When we believe in Him we make Him Lord over us and our and savior from death’s power. We turn to Him for everything. And we trust Him in all things. This is the life of the believer.

Do you want the immortal life that Jesus came to give you? It is a free gift of love, joy, and peace in the Holy Spirit. He is calling you now. Will you come to Him? If you will then please pray with me now.

Dear Jesus, thank you for dying for me. And thank you for conquering death for me. I trust you now as my Lord and savior. Make me new by giving me a spirit birthed in me by the Holy Spirit. Help me to live for you so that I am not deceived so that none of the false religions and lies from the devil can take away the life you have given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you prayed with me then praise God! You are on your way to heaven. And are in God’s family. Read the Bible and believe what it plainly says. Trust the Holy Spirit tom lead and guide you into all truth. He will do it. See you there or in the air!

Mr O’hara. I would like to hear about Romans 13: and obey the law. My very old bible has a comment that says ‘as due’. Thank you for this article. I like reading your comments and learning.

Rom.13 teaches that the gov’t that is instituted by God is one that punishes wrongdoers and rewards the good is not to be resisted. However, gov’ts that do not fit this description are not instituted by God. In these we live at peace with all men as far as is possible. Owing no man anything but love. I hope this helps.

Isaiah is speaking of the millennial reign of Christ. The promised kingdom on earth for Israel. During this 1,000 year period of time the scripture says Jesus will rule with a rod of iron(Rev.2:27). That rod is the law given to and only for Israel. And this is the rod by which Jesus will rule during this dispensation.

But, we are not in such a dispensation now. We are in the dispensation of the grace of God(Eph.3:2) where there is no law(1Cor.6:12). But, only the kindness and love of God that leads men to repentance. Rom.2:4. This is a very difficult thing for those who live by the flesh/works to comprehend. Because the carnal mind that lives by the flesh/works is at enmity with the spirit(Rom.8:7). But, it is true nonetheless.

    I hope this helps.

Mr. O’hara, how do you explain Isaiah 2:3? With your mind set, you can not.
