A blessing from Jude’s earlier letter wraps up this meditation. I’m praying for you. Give this devotional to others or urge them to read it online if it has improved your relationship with Jesus. Make a daily plan for keeping your mind refreshed by God’s Word.
You are unable to satisfy yourself. You can only be kept by the Great Shepherd, and He will. If you gaze to Him, He will prevent you from falling and joyfully present you in the sight of His splendor, blameless. You won’t cower in His magnificent presence on that day because it will be evident to you that His sacrifice for you fully atones for your sins. Jesus’ gaze will only show you complete acceptance and love. That will undoubtedly bring me immense satisfaction. His work in you will be finished, and you won’t have to battle sin ever again.
Similar to the celestial proclamation in a previous devotion from Revelation (see 12/29), Jude concludes his letter with words of thanksgiving. He is proclaiming that God the Father and the Son will always have honor, glory, grandeur, dominion, and authority. Take note of how Jude describes eternity: “before all time, and now, and forever.” It is pointless to deny this evident reality. It’s life to embrace and accept it!
In conclusion, we would be foolish to devote our lives to anything other than the Lord and His Word in light of this fact. As you walk with God, may He bless you, dear reader. When we happily stand together in His beautiful presence, I look forward to having met you.
