Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a bill into law on Wednesday that prohibits abortion from the moment of conception, with a few exceptions. Oklahoma HB 4327 is presently the most stringent abortion ban in the United States. It forbids doctors from performing abortions once a pregnancy has been confirmed. There are certain exceptions, such as if the abortion is judged essential to preserve the mother’s life.
