Oklahoma Gov. Signs Bill Effectively Banning Abortion; Turbulence Ahead.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a bill into law on Wednesday that prohibits abortion from the moment of conception, with a few exceptions.

Oklahoma HB 4327 is presently the most stringent abortion ban in the United States. It forbids doctors from performing abortions once a pregnancy has been confirmed. There are certain exceptions, such as if the abortion is judged essential to preserve the mother’s life. Another exemption is if the pregnancy was caused by rape or incest and was reported to the authorities.

“As governor, I promised Oklahomans that I would sign every pro-life bill that came across my desk, and I am glad to uphold that commitment today,” said Stitt, a first-term Republican.

“We have a responsibility as human beings to do everything we can to preserve the baby’s life and the mother’s life from the time life begins at conception.” That’s what I think, and the majority of Oklahomans believe as well.”

The law is modeled after Texas’ Heartbeat Act, which allows private citizens to file a civil action against anyone who performs or assists a woman in obtaining an abortion, with the potential to recover at least $10,000 in statutory damages for each abortion performed, aided, or abetted in violation of the ban. The provision, however, prevents the mother seeking an abortion from being sued.

Texas was the first state to establish a statute with this type of enforcement mechanism, and the Texas Act has been in place since September 2021, despite judicial challenges.

Abortion is defined as “the act of using, prescribing, administering, procuring, or selling any instrument, medicine, drug, or any other substance, device, or means with the knowledge that the termination by any of those means will with reasonable probability cause the death of an unborn child,” according to the text of HB 4327.

The use, prescription, administration, procurement, or sale of Plan B, morning-after pills, or any other kind of contraception or emergency contraception is not included in the legislation’s definition of abortion.

The act must also be undertaken to “rescue the life or protect the health of the unborn child,” “remove a dead unborn child caused by spontaneous abortion,” or “remove an ectopic pregnancy,” according to the law. Ectopic pregnancy is a potentially life-threatening situation in which a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus.

The bill is one of at least three that the Oklahoma legislature has enacted this year. SB 612 and SB 1503 are the other two bills.

Stitt signed SB 1503, sometimes known as the “Oklahoma Heartbeat Act,” into law in early May, and two of Oklahoma’s four abortion facilities ceased operations as a result. It prohibits abortion if heart activity is found, which normally occurs at six weeks of pregnancy, and it is enforced similarly to the Texas Heartbeat Act.

SB 612, enacted by the Republican governor in April, makes anybody convicted of performing an abortion a crime punishable by up to ten years in jail and/or a fine of up to $100,000. The law, which goes into force in late August, has no exceptions for rape or incest.

Truthfully, this is only going to make the right side of the isle look terrible. If we’re going to ban abortion, (which we should) we need to fundamentally restructure the entire system dealing with children in need of care. We’ll likely see heavy backlash about the excessiveness of this bill, and can you blame them? This is a job not even half done; And has likely created several new problems in the state of Oklahoma. We can’t just pull the rug out from our political adversaries; As much as we’d like to we need to work with them.

It’s genuinely disappointing that these politicians race to sign a bill, but won’t consider brainstorming a way to alleviate the pressure on the foster care system or restructure it all together. Nevertheless, this is a win for God and a win for followers of Christ. The safeguarding and praise that these abortion clinics receive from the radical left is inarguably evil, and without regard for human life. These are historic times in our society in which we have to fight on the behalf of those who haven’t even been born yet. Psalm 139:13-16 says: “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

The FDA is absolutely not an integral source of information in terms of our biological well being. They’re proving to be a threat to humanity itself, by enabling people to asphyxiate innocent life without a second thought. There is also something to be said about the concerning mental state of an individual who finds themselves as a pro-choice activist. James 1:27 says this: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Perhaps Pro-choice activists should direct their attention toward the widows and orphans, as opposed to fighting for the right to take human life. The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is “extremely concerned” about the number of toddlers in the United Kingdom who are having difficulty communicating as a result of frequent lockdowns.

Therapists and charities are concerned about a rapid loss in speech and motor abilities, with language treatment requests tripling. Children (and adults) receive speech and language therapy to assist them in communicating.

The RCSLT’s chief executive, Kamini Gadhok, told the Telegraph that its members are “extremely concerned” about the number of children who are having difficulty communicating, and that member therapists are unable to meet demand.

“The larger the difference by the time the child is five,” she explained, “the more difficult it is to bridge.” Without early help, Gadhok said, young children are considerably more likely to develop emotional and behavioral difficulties.

According to assessments, one in every five children does not achieve expected requirements by the age of two and a half, with thousands more likely to require speech and language treatment.

When this is taken away, not only is the risk of misunderstanding (and mislearning) raised, but it also has the potential to affect children’s social and emotional development.”

Not only was there less exposure to new terminology, but there was also less interaction with instructors, friends, and family, according to Wren, and these are some of the ways lockdown influenced children’s speech.

“Our members tell us that expanding waiting lists for speech and language treatment are limiting their capacity to give the assistance that children require for a successful start in life,” Gadhok added.

“It is not unexpected that COVID lockdowns left toddlers unable to communicate or play effectively,” Jane Harris, Chief Executive of I CAN, the UK’s largest children’s communication charity, told The Epoch Times via email.

“Since COVID, there has been a substantial increase in child development concerns. According to her research, 1.5 million youngsters in the United Kingdom are having difficulty learning to speak and understand English.

According to Harris, 62% of primary school teachers and 60% of secondary school instructors are concerned that pupils who are now behind would not be able to catch up.

“Continued service cuts in the aftermath of the epidemic only serve to substantially decrease access to speech and language therapy, implying that children and their families are unable to obtain the correct support at the right time,” she said.

“To get speech and language help to children who need it, the new Integrated Care Boards must plan locally with education partners.” “In addition to more specialized support from Speech and Language Therapists, low-cost therapies offered by teaching assistants can help,” Harris stated.

According to Alison Morton, executive director of the Institute of Health Visiting, the latest data paints a “worrying picture,” with a backlog of children in need of assistance.

“The most recent national child development data reveal a concerning picture, with fewer children reaching or exceeding the predicted level of development at the age of two to two-and-a-half years. “While the majority of youngsters develop normally, a sizable and rising number do not,” she explained.

A report released in March by the North Wales Community Health Council (NWCHC) showed that owing to the first lockdown in March 2020, children’s speech progress was entirely lost.

“Many parents informed us that they believed their children had been deprived of services at a critical time in their development, which was exacerbated by the lack of connection with other children due to home schooling.” “Some parents believed that their children had lost all progress achieved in previous months, and that this had had a terrible effect on their child’s development,” NWCHC reported.

The data has never indicated that children are at risk of infection or severe illness from COVID-19 throughout this entire plandemic. The data has shown however, that masking these children is extremely harmful psychologically. It’s very hard to watch these parents believe that they’re doing the right thing by sending their kids to school masked and incapable of learning social cues. To vaccinate these children is a whole other level of deranged, as the data has never suggested that these children require such inoculations.
