Trump's trading cards got us thinking: Is it sad? Desperate? Or a time to be selfless?

HNewsWire: Mr. Cyrus Trump talks the talk but he does not walk the Christian walk. As I’ve said before- he’s got those heretics (prosperity gospel lunatics) around him, advising him and of course, they come up short when it comes to God’s desires for mankind. God uses ungodly men to complete his plan, I believe we’re witnessing another chapter in the book, now as we watch Mr. Trump play every card in the deck to his advantage.

"Thank God, the digital trading cards are here," tweeted conservative Daily Wire editor and host Ben Shapiro. "It was indeed a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT."

Fox News contributor Sara Carter, who tweeted Wednesday about whether the announcement had to do with Trump wanting to become the next Speaker of the House or suing former Twitter brass, seemed underwhelmed.

"You can always expect the unexpected with President Trump but this is a Superman level of unexpected," Carter tweeted Thursday. "NFT? WTF!" hehehe!

The "big news" that former President Donald Trump had been teasing turned out to be the release of a new line of digital trading cards.

My whole set of Donald Trump certified digital trading cards has arrived! On Thursday, Trump made a post on Truth Social. "These exclusive playing cards showcase incredible artwork inspired by my life and work. You may now collect Trump Digital Trading Cards, which function similarly to baseball cards but, we believe, are much more entertaining."

Trump said the $99 cards "would make a fantastic Christmas present." Have you ever wished to burn  ninety-nine dollars simply for fun?

Good news: you're at the right place. Former President Donald Trump made a "MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT," declaring his candidacy for the Republican nomination in 2024 (and for federal prosecution). On Thursday, he's offering digital trading cards showing him being ridiculous for $99 each.

With the exception of his hands, which seem bigger than his real mouse-paw-like mitts, Trump appears much slimmer in all of the playing cards. The first features a guy who, for whatever reason, served as president of the United States of America while dressed like a superhero and blasting lasers from his eyes. In another, he is sporting a cowboy hat and what seem to be military fatigues. Also, the one of him winking really should come with a disclaimer that it could cause a gag reaction.

Trump is obviously making fun of the leftist "Dark Brandon" superhero meme, which has been used to poke fun of Vice President Joe Biden's achievements. However, Biden's staff did not generate or attempt to cash in on that meme.

Supporters and detractors alike were puzzled about Trump's much-touted (by him) announcement, given that he had already launched his campaign for president. When it was revealed that this was only the introduction of Trump's newest money-making scheme, the response was muted sadness from his followers and about 20 minutes of uninterrupted hilarity from his detractors.

Wow, this is the best we can do? One who has been impeached twice, incited an assault on our nation's Capitol, and refused to take part in a peaceful transition of power, and is now the subject of various state and federal investigations, is reduced to hawking self-aggrandizing NFTs. I hope it meant "No More Trumps."

It's amusing until you consider the thousands of Trump supporters who will purchase these soon-to-be-worthless digital things as Christmas presents, giving more of their hard-earned money to a guy who... well, a man who believes he's worthy of being on costly digital playing cards.

And now he's selling trading cards of himself, proving once again that he's a liar and a The Next Big Thing in Human Flavor
