HNewsWire- Volodymyr Zelensky, an angry and embattled Ukrainian President, slammed NATO on Friday for failing to do more to intervene against Russia’s military invasion of the nation, declaring the Western military alliance “weak” and “confused” while reiterating his call for a no-fly zone.
“Unfortunately, there is a widespread perception today that it is time to give a funeral repast for something else: security guarantees and promises, alliance determination, values that appear to have died for someone,” Zelensky said following a NATO summit in Brussels during which Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg reiterated his position that “we are not involved in this conflict.” Zelensky reacted as follows:
“Today, the NATO summit took place – a weak summit, a confused summit, a summit that demonstrates that not everyone views the battle for freedom as Europe’s primary objective.”

He began his remarks by saluting Ukrainian warriors’ valor in the face of Russian military attack. However, he contrasted this with NATO’s failure to deploy serious assistance.
“Unfortunately, there is a widespread perception now that it is time to pay tribute to something else: security pledges and promises, alliance determination, and principles that seem to have died for someone,” the Ukrainian leader remarked.
“All the people who will die beginning today will die as a result of you. Because of your frailty, your divisiveness,” Zelensky said. These were among of his strongest statements to date directed at NATO’s ‘inaction’ – despite the fact that hundreds of tons of armament are coming into Kiev from NATO allies, particularly Germany, which just reversed its position on arms neutrality.
Numerous notable US hawks have also advocated for a no-fly zone or for Washington to take more robust action. However, several others have correctly pointed out that a no-fly zone is really a technical euphemism for conducting outright war against Russia. It would not be a “limited” conflict over Ukraine’s skies, but it would include a direct shooting battle between American and Russian troops.
Joe Biden has so far sworn to the American people that no American troops would be dispatched to confront Russia in Ukraine. He reaffirmed this point forcefully during Tuesday night’s State of the Union speech.
American political scientist John Mearsheimer forecast the situation that is unfolding currently more than a half-decade ago…
“What is happening here is that the West is guiding Ukraine down the primrose road,” he said at the time during a public talk. And the eventual effect will be that Ukraine will be destroyed. And I think that the approach I am supporting, which is neutralizing Ukraine and then rebuilding it economically and removing it from the conflict between Russia and NATO, is the best course of action for the Ukrainians.
“What we’re doing is encouraging Ukrainians to be more assertive against the Russians. We’re encouraging Ukrainians to believe that they will eventually join the West, since we will eventually overcome Putin and get our way; time is on our side. And, of course, the Ukrainians are complicit.”
Russia Attacked Airport With 8 Cruise Missiles
HNewsWire- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Sunday that Russian troops used eight cruise missiles to strike the Vinnytsia airport.
“Against our city, against our calm Vinnytsia, which has never presented any danger to Russia,” Zelensky said in a Twitter video. “A heinous, opportunistic missile attack has devastated the airport utterly.”
According to a translation, Zelensky said that the airport was damaged in the assault.
“Eight Russian cruise missiles struck Vinnytsia, a sizable city located far away from the frontline,” Kuleba said on Twitter. President Vladimir Putin of Russia “continues his vicious and inhumane missile attacks and aerial bombing of people. Assist us in closing the skies and saving lives! Assemble air and missile defenses, as well as combat aircraft! Put an end to Russian terrorism!” he concluded.
According to unconfirmed video footage released online by Ukraine’s Parliament and other sources, black smoke seemed to be billowing towards the airport. Kuleba shared a video clip that purported to show cruise missiles going toward the airport. The Epoch Times was unable to independently verify the footage’s authenticity or the truth of Zelensky’s or Kuleba’s assertions.
