Alternatively, Special Assistant District Attorney Wade can withdraw, allowing the District Attorney, the Defendants, and the public to move forward without his presence or remuneration potentially compromising the merits of the case. Willis, who campaigned as an anti-corruption candidate in 2020, aimed to address the accusations of sexual and financial wrongdoing surrounding her predecessor, Paul Howard. The jilted wife of DA Fani Willis’ alleged lover and outside counsel Nathan Wade dropped receipts in a Friday court filing, revealing that Wade purchased plane tickets in Willis’ name, with alleged travel to places such as Napa Valley, California, Florida and the Caribbean, according to the Daily Caller. According to records filed in the Wade divorce, Wade bought tickets for he and Fani to travel on both Norwegian and Royal Caribbean cruise lines. According to the report, Wade made two payments to Royal Caribbean cruise lines in the same day in the amount of $1,387 and $1,284, on Oct. 4, 2022. ATLANTA—Former President Donald Trump and 18 co-defendants were indicted by a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, on Monday evening in relation to the former president’s efforts to dispute the 2020 election results in the state. The 98-page indictment (pdf) charges President Trump with 13 counts, including violation of the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree, and conspiracy to commit filing of false documents. Alongside the former president, 18 others were indicted, including his former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, his former attorneys Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, and attorney Sidney Powell.
