By Edward  O’Hara, As we continue to learn what Paul was teaching in Rom.7, we will continue our focus on what Paul meant when he wrote, “14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.” To understand this passage correctly is to recognize first and foremost the context in which it is written. This is discovered by reading what was said before that led up to this. We see this when Paul says “For” at the beginning of each of these statements.
