LA Introduces A Taxpayer Funded $1000 A Month Lottery. But You Must Be LGBTQIA To Participate.

Measure H, a historic quarter-percentage-point increase in the county’s sales tax to combat homelessness, was overwhelmingly approved by voters in 2017. It failed miserably. The situation with regard to homelessness has deteriorated significantly. It’s easy to see why when you hear what the City of West Hollywood is doing with their portion of the funding. The city is picking 25 residents to earn $1,000 each month through a lottery. It’s known as the Guaranteed Income West Hollywood Pilot. You do not, however, have to be homeless to participate in the lottery. You don’t even have to be a citizen of the United States to participate.
