What a Wonderful God We Worship

Hannah was tormented by her husband’s other wife because she was infertile. Being childless back then was seen as a sign of God’s curse. Eli, the priest, believed she was intoxicated while she was in the tabernacle, sobbing uncontrollably to God. After chastising her, he heard her justification. He prayed for the LORD to fulfill her wish. She vowed to return the kid to the LORD. Her child’s name is Samuel. She sung the 1 Samuel 2 prayer after giving delivery. The verse for today is included in that prayer.

When we pour out our souls to the Creator, we may be certain that He hears our prayers despite the fact that we are mortal and unimportant. Hannah believed she had a meaningful existence even though she didn’t need children. God was aware of her heartache. What a magnificent God we worship. Even though we owe Him everything and He owes us nothing, He hears our prayers and cares about our suffering.

Hannah proclaimed God to be exceptionally holy. It’s absolutely true. He is the epitome of purity. Although we can be rendered holy in God’s eyes and given credit for Christ’s righteousness, He is the only one who is holy. His holiness is innate, while ours is acquired. He has always been revered throughout history. At one point, we became holy.

He is our rock since he never changes. No other god is as loving and merciful to men as our God. No other god is as flawless as ours. When Hannah’s request was answered, she became more conscious of the amazing God she served.

Think about it: We should be amazed by the responses to our prayers.
