He is now going to the financial industry to sell World ID, a digital identification platform that is based on the idea that AI has made it impossible to discern people apart from computers. It’s a way to fix a problem that AI itself has caused. At a US Federal Reserve seminar about banking regulation, Altman said that his biometric identity project was necessary for living in a world where digital fraud is expanding quickly.
