With the start of every major conflict or military operation a false flag must be launched. It’s the oldest trick in the book to justify going to war for any reason.
And the United States are the masters of perfecting this technique, as this is how they routinely and habitually create new reasons to start or involve themselves in yet another war, ones with zero goals and zero exit plans.
The list is plentiful: with the death of 225 crewman after an explosion on the U.S. battleship Maine at Havana, Cuba, thus launching the Spanish-American war of 1898;
Or the sinking of the Lusitania near Great Britain and with roughly 1200 people, including 128 Americans, dying after a torpedo sunk the ship;
Or the American total blockade of Japanese oil imports, and total embargo against Japan and forbade them the passage through the Panama canal, preventing Japan’s access to Venezuelan oil – subsequently leading to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, after military officials continually ignored Japan’s warnings that they would attack;
Or the “gulf of Tonkin” incident where American destroyer Maddox was purportedly attacked by the North Vietnamese, resulting in the Vietnam War (though it was never called a war until many years after);
Or things like the “War on Terror” as a result of 9/11 attacks, after the U.S. blew-up two of their own Trade Towers, Building 7, and struck the Pentagon, to justify going into Afghanistan and meddle in the Middle East.
And the list goes on and on, those are just a few examples of the types false flags the United States has launched to usher in another war, and rally the people behind them.
Global Research compiled a list 53 false flags that are admitted by the governments around the world, and each time they were done to kick-start a new conflict, operation, and war.
Major General Smedley Darlington Butler, one of the most decorated men in the history of the United States, once wrote in his book “War is a Racket:”

Most people just want to live their daily lives undisturbed, so in order to spur a conflict and rally the people to want to support it and fight it themselves, a false flag operation must be launched.

Hermann Göring, a Nazi war leader and convicted war criminal, also said,
Why of course the people don’t want war … But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship … Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.
Göring’s statements are as true as can be. Remember George W. Bush post-9/11? Remember when he said, “Either you’re with us, or you are with the terrorists?”
And boy did that work – a strong majority of the country backed it, as everyone was out waving their American flags and beamed with pride, only to later have a mouth full of gravel when the people began to realize they were bamboozled and there was nothing there, and Bush and the U.S. military wandered around in the metaphorical Wilderness of Sin in the desert.
But it sure did make the military industry complex and the investors all the more richer. The people who crashed the planes into the World Trade Centers on September 11th, 2001 – 15 of the 17 were Saudis; but did America attack Saudi Arabia? Of course not, that’s where American gets its black gold from and leverage the petrodollar from: they’d never do that, but they needed a boogieman to bomb, and the Afghans got the short end of the stick. And then not long after Iraq was attacked, too.
Remember the threat and ruse of “weapons of mass destruction?” Again, a total fabrication and fairy tale that Bush, Rumsfeld, and the rest of the U.S. government came up with? – a lie that Bush has even admitted to, even if it was accidental.

I mention these examples because there is no new thing under the sun: lather, rinse, repeat. And so too it is with this latest conflict regarding Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
And that’s the word we keep hearing over and over again from American politicians, media folk, and entities from the Pentagon: “escalation.” Even though the U.S. continues to increase it’s military lending and ramping up the war machine for Israel, by sending more military support to Israel directly and offshore, and pointing the blame-game on nations like Iran, for example, whilst unilaterally continuing to warn the world that the U.S. will escalate their actions if others “escalate” as well.
But America’s empirical reign and overstretched bounds of habitations and occupation have been long documented, and was a point that Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a speech that is equivalent to the United States’ State of the Union address. Putin said in his lengthy speech:
I want to emphasize, yes, in fact, this is well known to everyone: not a single country in the world has as many military bases abroad as the United States of America. There are hundreds of them, I want to emphasize this, hundreds bases around the world, the whole planet is shaken, just look at the map.

But the point of bringing this up is to demonstrate it is quite rich on the part of the U.S. to talk about “escalation” when it is the U.S. that seems to be always on the forefront of escalation.
This is American exceptionalism at it’s finest; and just like George W. Bush once stated post-9/11, President Joe Biden essentially gave his version of it last week, stating that the U.S. is a beacon to the world, saying, “we are the essential nation.”
You know, just as in World War Two, today, patriotic American workers are building the arsenal of democracy and serving the cause of freedom.
And as I walked through Kyiv with President Zelenskyy, with air raid sirens sounding in the distance, I felt something I’ve always believed more strongly than ever before: America is a beacon to the world still. Still.
We are, as my friend Madeleine Albright said, “the indispensable nation.”
Of course, this is the same Madeline Albright who once condoned the mass-murder of Iraqi children at the hands of the U.S. In ’96, during a 60 Minutes interview, Albright was asked, “We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?” Albright replied, “We think the price is worth it.” That segment would later go on to win an Emmy award.
All this to say: obviously and clearly the war machine is ramping up, but a false flag will be needed to further advance this more than it already has on its own, by getting more people around the world invested in it.
With Russia and Ukraine, the masses in the Western world needed to be propagandized for months in advance and continually thereafter, to constantly update the programming of the NPC’s to believe the current thing, giving them reasons to care about what’s going on in Ukraine, even though most Americans can not find Ukraine on a map.
But Israel and the Palestinians are whole a different ballgame. A lot of people already had formulated and decided upon their opinions well before this war broke loose, and therefore a war like this and all that has happened is already exacerbating that; and all it will take is a single match to ignite the gas depot.
And just like before and always, the typical provocateurs calling for an expansion of war and bloodshed are paraded out as always.
Take for example neocon warmonger Rep. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) – who had once openly called for the assassination of Putin; and said in an edited video published by Ukraine after a meeting with Zelensky, said, “The Russians are dying. It’s the best money ever spent” – is out there again making the rounds in the media calling for full-blown war with Iran and anyone else who dares gets in America’s way.
Days after the war began Graham said in an interview with Fox News this:
We’re in a religious war here. I am with Israel. Do whatever the hell you have to do to defend yourself. Level the place.
For every Israeli or American hostage executed by Hamas, we should take down an Iranian oil refinery. The only way you’re gonna keep this war from escalating is to hold Iran accountable.
I am confident this was planned and funded by the Iranians. Hamas is a bunch of animals who deserve to be treated like animals … If I was Israel, I would go in on the ground. There is no truce to be had here. I would dismantle Hamas.
We’re here today to tell Iran: ‘We’re watching you. If this war grows, it’s coming to your backyard.’ The idea that this happened without Iranian involvement is laughable.
The goal right now is one. To destroy Hamas. Israel needs to be given the time it needs to do this; it will take as long as it takes. This is so that Israel can protect its people and so that the Palestinians, whom Hamas is terrorizing, can have a better life.
If there is a serious attack by Hezbollah on Israel, my recommendation would be to go to the source, and the source is Iran. They have American blood on their hands. 93% of Hamas’s funding comes from Iran. I believe they instigated this attack to prevent the normalization that was expected to happen between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Hezbollah is coordinated with Iran, so we came to Israel to tell Iran that we are watching them and monitoring them. If Hezbollah enters the fray, this war will enter Iran’s backyard. There won’t be two fronts; there will be three.
I am convinced that Iran initiated this war to prevent a breakthrough. But for Iran to fail, Israel must destroy Hamas. And for peace with Saudi Arabia not to fail, Israel needs to destroy Hamas. I came to Israel to tell the Arab world that we can make peace if we defeat Hamas.
Look, we had 9/11 and the attack on Pearl Harbor. What you need now is to protect your people and move forward. The most important thing we came to say today to Israel is that we, Democrats and Republicans, came here to make it clear to the world and to Iran that we have Israel’s back.
You know, Proverbs 28:22 says “He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.” I mean, just take a look at this bloodthirsty megalomanic, who is on the cheer team chanting to start every war imaginable:

Graham of course is just one of many of the endless array of warhawks in Washington’s uniparty. Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) told CNN’sJake Tapper, referring to the Palestinians in Gaza, not Hamas, but the actual Palestinians: “You can’t exist. They have to be eradicated”
Or how about former President Donald Trump? Trump, marketed as an antiwar President, vowed to spill a “gallon” of blood if a single drop of an American is shed, if he is reelected.
When I am back in the White House, the United States will stand with Israel all the way — without hesitation, without qualification, and without apology. We will fully support the Israelis in their mission to ensure that Hamas is decimated, and these atrocities will be avenged. They will be avenged.
If you spill a drop of American blood, we spill a gallon of yours.
The point of me bringing up these quotes is to demonstrate how these politicians, media members, and military leaders (and there far too many to quote) are unilaterally spreading a gas trail along throughout the bombs factory by making such inflammatory comments, which, as I said earlier, all it takes it just that one lone match to cause a massive timebomb explosion.
The U.S. is not alone in making the sparks fly either. Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan just recently headed a pro-Palestinian rally with approximately 100,000 in attendance, explicitly threatening war against Israel and the United States. He stated, “We can come at any night unexpectedly.” The crowd then chanted, ” Turkish military to Gaza!”
Israel, we will also declare you as a war criminal to the world, we are preparing for it, and we will introduce Israel to the world as a war criminal.
Now those are some serious threats, and their involvement in this war could really make things a problem for everyone involved, being that they have a strong and sizeable military, that has been outfitted in part by the U.S. and is a NATO member. Again, all it takes is that one spark, that one match…
So, to bring things full circle, beware and be ready for a false flag.
We have had a few close calls already but nothing really stuck. Khaled Mashal, the former leader and founding member of Hamas, called for a “Day of Rage” of October 13th, but everything went on as usual. We also have heard about the bombing at the al-Ahli Arab Hospital in northern Gaza, with reports of hundreds of men, women, and children perishing in the blast, with both sides around the world pointing the finger. And while that led to some isolated protests and demonstrations around the world, nothing on a massive scale that gripped the world headlines occurred.
There were also pro-Palestinian rallies going on in New York City last week, and even an “insurrection” of pro-Palestinians protestors invading the U.S. Capitol building, which got nearly zero coverage.
But again, nothing has not really happened as of yet, but that will change soon enough. I couldn’t tell you when or what it’ll be, but it could literally be anything: more hospital bombings, live killings of children, chemical weaponry, another sinking of a ship, another 9/11 inside job, you name it; it could be a nuclear strike, it could be an EMP strike/cyber attack, it could be people’s bank accounts get drained, some kind of chemical disaster, a new Cuban Missile Crisis, and so on. Anything is on the table.
But whatever it is be ready for it because it’s coming; and the sheep, like every time before, WILL support further expanding this war and going off to fight it. And just like 9/11, tons of civil liberties will be removed, namely the Patriotic Act, which allows the NSA and “Big Brother” to spy on us and collect all of our data to stop terrorism through any means; or things like getting fondled and raped at the airport to make sure you aren’t carrying a bomb inside of you.
We have already seen this in Europe with the acceleration of the Digital Services Act – a bill that forces tech companies to censor anything the EU Parliament wants to on a whim – with claims that there is all this “misinformation” circulating on social media from this war. It’s a power grab per usual.
What we can say is that this war will be long, it drag on and on, and only further expand from here. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just confirmed as much on October 28th, saying that “the second stage” of the campaign is underway and said Israelis should anticipate “a difficult and long war.”

While all eyes are focused on Israel's direct enemies, which include Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and its proxies in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon, Turkey is one country that might pose an even greater threat.
Most military journals rank Turkey's military as one of the top 15 in the world and among the largest in the region, comparable to that of Egypt and Iran.
Over the weekend, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, spoke at an anti-Israel rally, accusing Israel of committing war crimes and painting Hamas as "freedom fighters."
The hundreds of thousands of attendance erupted in cheers as he continued to imply that Turkey could have to step in and take action in Gaza, adding that Turkey could "come at any night unexpectedly."
Some analysts caution that, like Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini in 1989, Erdogan is attempting to project an image of himself as the defender of Islam. As such, during the past few decades, Turkey has become one of Israel's main adversaries in the Middle East.
What is this army of Gog's advancing on Magog?
Actually, the assault on Israel by Gog and his army is a portion of a vision that Ezekiel received, which begins in Ezekiel 33:21 and ends in Ezekiel 39:29. This is crucial to note because it's simple to interpret the chapters' arrangement as a declaration of the prophecies' chronological sequence.
"Since these chapters are a part of a different vision, we need not expect [chapters 40–48 to chronologically follow [chapters 38–39.” J. Paul Tanner, "Rethinking Ezekiel's Invasion by Gog," Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society 39:1 (Mar 1996): 29–46
Ezekiel defines this distinct vision for us as follows: a 13-year gap between the vision of Ezekiel 40 and the vision that encompasses Ezekiel 38–39.
Genesis 33:21
And in the twelfth year of our incarceration, it actually happened.

Now, twenty-five years into our incarceration...
Therefore, the passages from Ezekiel 33:21 to chapters 38 and 39, which come at the end of this vision, can be used to connect the dots chronologically. These two chapters describe an attack on Israel from the North in the "latter years." God will gather Gog and his bands to attack along with Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, the house of Togarmah of the North Quarters, and all his bands, and many people with him. The army will be destroyed and the attack completely thwarted, with the corpses being buried for seven months and the weapons from the unsuccessful attack being burned by Israel for seven years.
What is spoken in the Scripture?
Prior to delving into chapters 38 and 39, it is imperative that we examine the context of this vision, which began in Ezekiel 33:21 several chapters earlier. I will only include the scriptures that are pertinent to my thesis regarding the timing of the Gog Magog attack; I urge you to read the entire vision.
Joel 34:11–13
Since a shepherd seeks out his flock on a cloudy and dark day, so too will I seek out my sheep and deliver them from all places where they have been scattered. And I will bring them out of the people, gather them from the countries, and bring them to their own land, feeding them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country, declares the Lord God.
Considering the usage of these terms in other places in scripture, it appears that this reference to "in the cloudy and dark day" refers to a specific time period. "In the cloudy" (H6051) is defined as cloud, cloudy, or cloudmass and is used as that basic term in places like Genesis 9:13–16, referring to the post–flood bow (token of a covenant) in the cloud. However, in most other places, it is associated with the presence of God.
The term "and dark" (H6205) refers to the dense clouds and darkness; most of the events are identical to those above, signifying God's presence; the two that truly caught our attention are listed below.
Jude 2:1–2.
Let all the people of the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is almost here. It will be a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning spreading over the mountains, with a great and powerful people that has never been seen before and never will be, even for many generations. And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD, and their blood shall be poured out as dust and their flesh as dung. 18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; instead, the entire land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy
This gathering of the people at the opening of Ezekiel's vision would be occurring after the day of the Lord, which begins with the catching away of the bride of Christ and ends with the sudden destruction of God's wrath. It is after that time is complete that Yeshua reigns on earth for 1,000 years. This is because the words used for "cloudy and dark day" are overwhelmingly used to refer to the presence of the Lord, with Joel and Zephaniah expressly using "dark day" to describe the Day of the Lord.
Genesis 35:1–6
Furthermore, the LORD spoke to me through the word, "Son of man, set thy face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it. And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate. I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. Because of your unwavering hatred and the blood of the children of Israel that you shed during their calamity, in the moment when their sin came to an end. Therefore, as I live, declares the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee; if thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
It would appear that this vision of judgment for spilling the blood of Israel comes after the 70th week of Daniel, when natural Israel's iniquity would come to a stop during the millennial reign following a period of affliction.
Genesis 36:8–12
But you, O mountains of Israel, will bear fruit and send forth branches to your people, for they are near. For I am your God, and I will work for you; and I will multiply men upon you, all of the house of Israel; and the cities will be populated, and the wastes will be developed. And I will multiply man and beast upon you; and they will increase and bear fruit; and I will restore you to your former estates, and I will do better unto you than when you first came; and you will recognize me as the Lord. Indeed, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they will possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more bereave them of men.
Issa 37:22–28
And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, nor shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them; so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. And David my servant shall be king over them, and they all shall have one shepherd; they shall also walk in my judgments, observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever; and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will place them, multiply them, and set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; yes, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And the heathen shall know that I, the Lord, do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
I once believed that chapters 36 and 37 could be speaking to the rebirth of fertility in the land of Israel and the regathing of Israel that has been happening since the beginning of the 1900s. As you can see from the passages above, the language seems to be very clear about what time this is happening. There are a lot of forevers mentioned in relation to Israel and things that will only happen once the millennium starts.
Further investigation reveals that many of these same aspects of the land recovering and the people returning to Israel will also occur after the earth has been poured dry by God's wrath, after the 70th week of Daniel, after the land will be truly desolate following God's judgments, many of which center on Jerusalem and the antichrist's seat, and after the time of great tribulation, Jews will still exist worldwide, not just in the wilderness (Revelation 12:13–17). It is also only after this period that Christ will rule with an iron rod from Jerusalem, among His people Israel, for a period of 1,000 years.
Let's move on to the last two chapters of the vision, which deal with the Gog coalition's attack, keeping that in mind.
Genesis 38:1–23
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him. And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands; and many people with thee.
Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. After many days thou shalt be visited; in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have always been waste; but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm; thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. Thus saith the Lord GOD: It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought. And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls and having neither bars nor gates. To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? Hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God: In that day when my people of Israel dwell safely, shalt thou not know it? And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
Thus saith the Lord GOD: Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants, the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; so that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
39:1-29 Ezekiel
Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back and leave but the sixth part of them, and I will cause them to come up from the north parts, and I will bring them upon the mountains of Israel. And I will smite your bow out of your left hand and cause your arrows to fall out of your right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that are with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field, for I have spoken it, says the Lord God. And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles, they shall know that I am the LORD. So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel, and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more, and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord God; this is the day whereof I have spoken. And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire for seven years. So that they shall take no wood out of the field, nor cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire; and they shall spoil those that spoiled them and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord God. And it shall come to pass in that day that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea; and it shall stop the noses of the passengers; and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it the valley of Hamongog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them, and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord God.
And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it; after the end of seven months shall they search. And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog. And also, the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land. And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God: Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh and drink blood. Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats and bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. And ye shall eat fat till ye are full and drink blood till ye are drunken of my sacrifice, which I have sacrificed for you.
Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord God. And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed and my hand that I have laid upon them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day forward. And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity because they trespassed against me, therefore hid my face from them, and gave them into the hands of their enemies; so fell they all by the sword. According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions, I have done unto them and hid my face from them.
Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name. After that, they have borne their shame and all their trespasses, whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. When I have brought them again from the people, gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations, then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen; but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them, for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord God.
A further point I would like to make is that according to Ezekiel 39:11, Israel will bury the dead in the valley of Hamongog, or the valley of the passengers east of the sea. Mount Seir is a mountain range in Edom that stretches from the southeast of the Dead Sea to the Elanitic Gulf. According to Ezekiel 35, God will fill his mountains (Mount Seir) with the dead bodies of men who have been slain with the sword in all of the hills, valleys, and rivers. If these are connected, the valley of Hamongog will be in the region of the mountains southeast of the Dead Sea.
The names in genealogy for these areas (Genesis 10:2; 1 Chronicles 1:5; 1 Chronicles 5:4), the aforementioned verses, and Revelation 20 in reference to the last assembly that confronts Israel, whom God destroys, are the only other places in scripture where Gog and Magog are mentioned.
Scripture 20:7–10
Upon the expiration of the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison and set out to deceive the nations of Gog and Magog, which together number as many as the grains of sand on Earth. These nations will then be gathered to battle, with fire coming down from God out of heaven and devouring them. The devil who led them in was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, which is also home to the beast and the false prophet, where he will suffer day and night for eternity.
Here, we see that Satan is released from the bottomless pit after the millennium is over and deceives the nations in the four corners of the earth, specifically referring to Gog and Magog. Additionally, they are destroyed in the same way: in Ezekiel, it is described as “an overflowing rain and great hailstones, fire and brimstone,” while in Revelation, it is said that “Fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.” One is more descriptive than the other, but when considered in the context of the placement of the visions in Ezekiel at the end of the millennium, it seems to fit quite nicely. I will compare the various viewpoints a little further along.
Who are the participants?
Since we know very little about the political landscape beyond Christ ruling the world, the identities in the above passages are less significant when viewed in the context of a post-millennial view of the Gog Magog attack. As the Messiah, He is the main character in the Gog and Magog story because He is the one who will put an end to this misguided final rebellion.
Considering the scriptures that speak of the Messiah's "rod of iron" rule during the millennium, it is easy to see that when the Dragon is released at the end of the 1,000 years, he will be able to amass a large army of those who didn't rebel before only because they had no power or influence to do so. What is important to note in this view is that it is evident that a large portion of the population is only feigning submission to Christ because they have no other choice because He has been ruling with a rod of iron.
2 Samuel 7–12
I will announce the decree: Be wise now, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth; serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling; kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little; blessed are all those who put their trust in him. The LORD said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathens for thine inheritance and the remotest parts of the earth for thy possession.
Scripture 2:26–29
And I will give power over the nations to him who overcomes and upholds my works to the end; he will rule them with an iron rod, just as I received it from my Father; he will also receive the morning star. Finally, anyone with an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.
12:5 Revelation
And she gave birth to a male child who would dominate all countries with an iron rod. Her child was also taken up to God's throne.
Scripture 19:11–16
And I saw heaven open, and there was a white horse; and he who sat upon him was called faithful and true, and he judgeth and makes war in righteousness; his eyes were like a flame of fire, and there were many crowns on his head; and he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God; and the armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white, and clean; and he treads the winepress of Almighty God's fierceness and wrath. And he has a name written on his vesture and on his thigh, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
These four verses that refer to a rod of iron define Yeshua and describe Him smiting the nations with the rod. The final verse describes Christ's glorious return to defeat the beast and false prophet immediately prior to the commencement of His rule. God's ways are not burdensome to those who love Him, but those who disobey Him will be kept in line during His rule, and it is evident that many will not recognize that "the number of whom is as the sand of the sea." Revelation 20:7–10
The King Gog
Another source that mentions Gog, but only in the Greek Septuagint, is Chuck Missler's The Magog Invasion briefing pack, published by Koinonia House (you can watch a brief excerpt of it here). I bring this up because I'm not aware of any English translations of it, and it offers another potentially intriguing connection to the end-times theory.
1 Amos 7
The Lord revealed to me that a swarm of locusts was approaching, and among the young, destructive locusts was Gog the King.
Chuck points out that Proverbs 30:27 tells us that locusts with kings are not actually locusts, but rather a metaphor for demons. Considering the locust metaphor, there is another place in scripture that this would seem to point to—a prophecy in Revelation related to the 5th trumpet judgment—wherein there are locusts from the bottomless pit who sting people with scorpion-like stings but do not kill them, and who have a king named Abaddon or Apollyon.
Chapters 9:1–12
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth, and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth, and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded to them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them but that they should be tormented for five months, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when he strikes a man.
And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for battle, and on their heads were as if they were crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as they were breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was the sound of the chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails, and their power was to hurt men for five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue his name is Apollyon. One woe is past, and, behold, there come two more woes hereafter.
It appears that there is a chance that all of these are connected over a long period of time, which would further connect Gog's identity to a spirit existing outside of time.

At the end of the millennium, when the dragon is let loose and gathers the Gog's army, Magog and the Gog meet.
The Countries
In addition, Marco Polo referred to the Great Wall of China as the "rampart of Gog and Magog." As Chuck Missler has pointed out, the names of our countries, their borders, and cities change over time, but our ancestors' names remain constant. These groups of people are defined based on the names of locations based on ancestry, and these are the names of some of the sons of Japheth and Ham, Noah's sons. They are later identified as the Scythians.
Chapters 10:1–3
The following are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, to whom were born sons following the deluge: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras were the sons of Japheth, and Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah were the sons of Gomer.
Chapter 10:6
And Canaan, Mizraim, Phut (Libya), Cush (Ethiopia), and the sons of Ham.
The coalition is made up of people from all four corners of the Middle East, even though this group is attacking from the north.

I am fairly certain that this prophesied event will occur toward the end of the 1,000-year reign of Christ, so trying to define modern political identities according to the prophecy is not really relevant. I will also include these various theories on the timing below, with pros and cons for each as I come across them. When looking only at what is in the scripture to define the events, there are really only 3 chapters in the Old and New Testaments that mention any details of the event.
When might that occur?
I would highly recommend reading Chris White's book False Christ: Will the Antichrist Claim to Be the Jewish Messiah? for a more thorough analysis than what I offer here. A lot of the information and pros and negatives are taken from that work.
In multiple conflicts, God steps in to support Israel.
Gog/Magog: God rains fire and brimstone from heaven to annihilate the army in the Israelite highlands.
Armageddon: With a word from His mouth, Christ kills the assembled armies.
Millennium's end: Christ vanquishes the forces that Satan assembled from every part of the globe.
The four basic viewpoints that distinguish the Gog Magog attack from Armageddon or the end of the millennium are derived from those who place it in one of two general time frames. There are essentially only four occurrences in the end times that most people locate the Gog Magog attack in.

Regarding the first three perspectives, numerous theories exist regarding the precise identities of these figures in terms of contemporary politics; for more on this topic, I strongly suggest reading chapter 12 of Chris White's book. This synopsis includes some of the more popular theories that arise when analyzing the prophecies found in Ezekiel 38 and 39.
Is an Islamic Invasion Part of the Coming War of Gog and Magog?
Hashemite Kingdom Theory: The enemy from the north is defined as the areas of Syria, Turkey, and Iraq; these Islamic nations are the lands occupied by Magog, Gomer, Togarmah, Meshech, and Tubal. The Islamic nations will attack Israel either through an Iraqi-led, Jordanian-led, or Turkish-led coalition.
Caucus hypothesis: Gog and Magog are the Arab states allied with the Muslim republics of the former USSR; this hypothesis only includes the southern portion of Russia, excluding the majority of the country.
Theory of all of Europe: Gog and Magog represent all of Europe since they are the sons of Japeth, the ancestors of the European races. This theory is not very popular, and I could not find any evidence to support it.Russian Theory: Based on a different interpretation of the Hebrew word rosh (used as a noun rather than an adjective), similarities in word pronunciation, and the Greek translation of rosh referring to a tribe of people found in what is now Russia, the Hebrew word "rosh" in verse 3 is identified with Russia, "Tubal" with Tiblisi or Tobolsk, and "Meshech" with Moscow; therefore, Gog and Magog refer to Russia. This is one of the most widely held views.
Indo-European Theory: The coalition is an alliance of Arab states, Muslim republics, Georgia, southern Russia, and the Black Sea area. Gog and Magog include the countries descended from Japheth: Russia, the Caucasus (Turkey), Iraq, and the Islamic republics of Central Asia. If you look into the predictions of Ezekiel 38, you will find a variety of hypotheses. In fact, I tend to find more evidence for a blend of the Indo-European and Caucacus Theory. These are just a few of the theories you may find.
Before delving deeper into the participants in this invasion, it's critical to recognize that the war that Ezekiel describes in detail is not the same as the war that will occur at the end of the tribulation when Jesus returns to defeat the Antichrist and establish his millennial kingdom. How do we know this? Because the war that will occur at the end of the tribulation, known as Armageddon, is a global conflict; Revelation states that all nations will be involved, whereas the war that Ezekiel describes includes specific nations that invade Israel; additionally, while Armageddon is the culmination of the tribulation, the war that Ezekiel describes occurs well before then.
Ezekiel 38:1–7 gives 10 names of participants in the invasion of Israel that will follow the re-gathering of the Jews to their homeland. First mentioned is the land of Magog. The most common identity for Magog is in Central Asia. The Jewish historian Josephus said, “Magog founded the Magogians, called Scythians by the Greeks. The Scythians were a nomadic tribe who inhabited the ancient territory from Central Asia across the southern part of ancient Russia.” Today, this area is inhabited by the former Soviet republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and possibly the northern parts of Afghanistan. All of these nations that make up the land of Magog have one thing in common: Islam. Militant Islam has been on the rise in these countries since the fall of the Soviet Union, when Islam no longer had to be practiced secretly. Radical Islamic groups such as the Islamic Renaissance Party, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, and Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islam are working to reunite central Asian nations and ultimately the entire Muslim world. It is from this part of the world that a leader will arise to bring together a great coalition of nations to invade Israel.
Ezekiel 38:3 is probably the verse that generates the most dispute. I will give both of the major theories regarding the identity of the nations God is alluding to in this phrase, and the reader can determine which makes the most sense.
As Russia, Rosh
The Hebrew word "rosh" in verse 3 is translated as a noun in some versions of the Bible, treating it as a place in Russia. The least credible support for this view is that Rosh sounds like the modern name Russia, and Meshech sounds like Moscow. In these translations, they treat rosh as a proper name. The Greek translation translates Rosh as the proper name. Some believe this verse points to Russia as the prince of Rosh because verses 6 and 15 state that the invasion will come from remote parts of the north, and Russia is more remote.
Rosh in charge
The argument is that in the medieval text, the words "chief prince" carry the accents Tiphha and Zaqeph-gadol. The Tiphha appears under the resh of the Hebrew word "rosh," and the Zaqeph-gadol appears on top of the sin of the Hebrew word "nish." The Tiphha to the right, underneath the initial consonant of the world "rosh," or chief, is prepositive and does not mark the tone syllable. The world "nish," or prince, has the accent Zaqeph-gadol, which is disjunctive and indicates a pause. As a result, verse three would read:
"Look, Gog, the prince and {pause} chief of Meshech and Tubal, I am against you."
As opposed to:
"Look, Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, I am against thee."
In other words, if you think that "rosh" should be translated as a proper noun, you might find the interpretation that Russia will be a part of this coalition more reasonable. If you think that "rosh" should be translated as an adjective, you only need to worry about who Meshech and Tubal are. Personally, I don't think that "it sounds like Russia" is a good explanation, so I think that translating "rosh" as an adjective is more believable. However, everyone has their own opinions.
In Genesis 10:2, Meshech and Tubal are mentioned as the names of the sixth and fifth sons of Japheth, the son of Noah, in verses 2 and 6. Meshech and Tubal are also mentioned in Ezekiel 27:13 as trading partners with Tyre (modern Lebanon). It is likely that Meshech and Tubal refer to the ancient Moshi/Mushki and Tubalu/Tibareni who lived in the region around the Black and Caspian Seas in Ezekiel's day. These nations would be in modern-day Turkey, parts of southern Russia, and northern Iran—all areas with a majority Muslim population.
The Gomerites, who were the ancient Cimmerians who were driven from the southern steppes of Russia into what is now Turkey in 700 BC, are added to the coalition in verse 6. The Hebrew word for "house" or "place of" that appears at the beginning of the name, beth, refers to the third son of Gomer. In the days of Ezekiel, there was a city in Cappadocia (modern Turkey) known as Tegarma, Tagarma, Til-Garimmu, and Takarama.
The fact that four of the names listed in Ezekiel are conceivably present in Turkey today lends some credence to the idea that Turkey was involved in the invasion of Israel; since the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Turkey has been encroaching into Central Asia (Magog); it is also connected to Central Asia, both linguistically and ethnically, and it has an increasing number of political parties that advocate opposition to Israel, the creation of a Turkish Islamic Republic, and the spread of Islam throughout the world.
Three more names are added in verse 5, when God says, "Persia, Cush, and Put will be with them."
Persia is an easy one: the Persians conquered Babylon in 539 BC, and all you have to do is look at a map of the ancient Persian Empire to see that it was centered in what is now Iran. In fact, Iran was known as Persia until 1935, when it was changed to Iran, and during the Iranian Revolution in 1979, it became the Islamic Republic of Iran. Without a doubt, Iran is an archenemy of Israel and the West, and it actively works to persuade other Arab nations to switch sides in their cooperation with Israel and the United States.
The land on the Nile River that Ezekiel described as the ancient kingdom of Cush is now occupied by Sudan, which is ideal for the coalition because it is already close allies with Iran and trades military supplies for docking rights on the Red Sea shipping routes. Sudan is also home to the National Islamic Front, an Islamic military dictatorship, strong supporter of Iraq, and the place where Osama bin Laden lived from 1991 to 1996.
Ancient Put was the region immediately west of Egypt, or modern-day Libya; Libya openly rejects Israel's right to exist and is another source of terrorism; Libya will not have to be asked twice to join the coalition opposing Israel.
The phrase "and many people with you" is added in verse 6, and all of the nations listed are somewhat distant from Israel. God may have been hinting that those nations and peoples who are closer to Israel will join the Jihad by adding "and many people with you." Other nations that may join the alliance include Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt; these are all Islamic countries, and if given the chance, they would all gladly support the destruction of Israel.
