Should Christians Fight Evil? Engaging in War is not

Always Wrong… A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace… The attacks of September 11 and the resulting war against terrorism have brought to the front once again the question of the Christian view of war. The question is particularly complex because it is hard to see how war can be consistent with the biblical emphasis on forgiveness and forbearance and love. This emphasis is perhaps most pointed in the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus says: You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. TWITTER, AT SOME POINT YOU’RE GOING TO REALIZE CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIANS DO NOT NEED SOCIAL MEDIA

A simple definition of truth is to define it as something that corresponds to its object. In other words, it is “truth” to say water is a substance that consists of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen and is found in oceans, rivers, and other locations. In fact, to deny this is true is to make a competing truth claim. To say, “That is not true,” is to claim the one making the statement knows it is not true because of another truth. Therefore, truth does exist. The next question is, “Can truth be known?” As limited human beings, we cannot claim to know all truth, but we can claim there are true things we can discover. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” An increase in false messiahs, an increase in warfare, and increases in famines, plagues, and natural disasters—these are signs of the end times. In this passage, though, we are given a warning: we are not to…

The Obama administration goons tried to intimidate this pastor, the problems they incurred, he’s a God-fearing man…. Christians in America should recognize they are well into the first stages of persecution. Throughout the centuries, God has preserved His Word and has raised up men and women for the task. Even during the Middle Ages, sometimes called the “Dark Ages” because of a perceived lack of knowledge during that time, the truth of the gospel was available. It is true that the Roman Catholic Churchand the Holy Roman Empire were at the height of their power and a common-language Bible was being suppressed; however, even then, God’s people were active. God’s hand is never “shortened that it cannot save” (Isaiah 59:1). His truth was marching on. The Church had already survived much persecution under various Roman Emperors, including the Great Persecution under Diocletian between AD 303…
