Pennsylvania’s Manufactured Hospital and Nursing Home Staffing Crisis is Just As Bad As it Seems.

According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, COVID-19 hospitalizations are on the rise in Pennsylvania and many other states. The increased number of patients has caused hospitals and long-term care facilities to run out of space. COVID-related hospitalizations in Pennsylvania hit an all-time high this week, with 7,488 cases reported on January 10. There were 3,774 hospitalizations on November 22nd, which is more than double the number of cases. 84 percent of Pennsylvania’s hospital beds were occupied last week.
