The World Accept Sin, True Christians, Biblically Informed Christian Will NOT!

They target your emotions to keep you engaged on their site so their advertisers can drop more ads. These platforms exist to enrich their stockholders. Consider God’s promise to Believers in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

Many in society today want to view themselves as “tolerant.” By that, they usually mean “I accept people for who they are without passing judgment on any action or lifestyle choice.” But the biblically informed Christian cannot, in good conscience, approve of all actions or lifestyle choices; the Bible clearly delineates some lifestyles as sinful and displeasing to God. When a Christian’s convictions clash with the standard of tolerance set by society, the Christian is often labeled as “intolerant,” “bigoted,” or worse. Ironically, those who claim to be the most tolerant are the least tolerant of the Christian worldview.

Sometimes the conflict between Christian convictions and secular standards of tolerance involves a Christian business being forced to photograph gay engagements, bake cakes or provide flowers for gay weddings, or rent rooms to gay couples. Other times, the conflict is not as public, involving personal acquaintances who disagree with a Christian’s conviction against getting drunk at a party, for example, or cohabitation before marriage.

A general principle that covers many issues was expressed by Peter before the Sanhedrin: “We must obey God rather than human beings!” (Acts 5:29). Whatever pressure society brings to bear, the follower of Christ knows who his Lord is and chooses to obey Him. In a sinful world that hated Christ, this will naturally lead to some conflict. The “tolerance” espoused by the world leaves no room for Christian convictions, but, for the redeemed who walk in the Spirit, Christian convictions are indispensable. The Bible says there is a right and a wrong, and no amount of sensitivity training or encounter group sessions can change that.

THE SIN OF SEXUAL IMMORALITY ● HOMOSEXUAL SEX ● SODOMY

I will preface that no Christian should hate or despise homosexuals. Jesus Christ died for them too. Jesus Christ can radically change the worst of sinners. It is my personal belief that everyone has some issue of sin that is a stronghold that he or she should overcome or allow Jesus to take away.

This is another open door for demonic infestation: homosexual sex. I have come across individuals who have opened themselves up to unclean spirits that had to be cast out because of the sin of homosexual sex. If the act of fornication (or premarital sex between two a male and female) can lead to demonic infestation then how much more so with two people of the same sex?

Simply put, the fact that there are animals that exhibit what we might call homosexual behavior does not change the fact that homosexuality is a sin for human beings. Some animals eat their young, but that doesn’t mean it is okay for humans to be cannibals. Dogs eat their own vomit (Proverbs 26:11), but that is definitely not good behavior for us to emulate. Some insects devour their partners after mating. We cannot use animal behavior as a basis for morality or to justify our chosen actions.

It is true that “homosexual” behavior has been observed in many species in the animal kingdom. Research shows these creatures having homosexual, bisexual, and non-reproductive sex, but the majority of these instances involve an Alpha male trying to dominate a weaker male to demonstrate who is in charge. It’s not about pleasure but about power and dominance. Other instances of “homosexuality” in animals can be attributed to their being misled by scent or suffering some physical abnormality. In any case, it is rare to find an animal that displays long-term homosexual behavior. Animals enacting homosexual behavior are considered deviant from the common sexual behavior of their species.

“Homosexuality” among animals in nature is not a lifestyle choice. Animals do not operate within any moral context and do not “sin.” However, human beings are not the same as animals. Men and women were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). All other creatures of creation were not. Animals are not accountable to God for their actions. Men and women are. Because animals were not made in the image of God, we cannot look at them as examples of how to live our lives.

The Bible is clear that homosexuality is a sin (1 Corinthians 6:9–10). Animals are not going to be condemned by God because of their actions. But sinful humans will be (Romans 3:23John 1:8). Animals do not have a conscience or an innate knowledge of right and wrong. Humans do. Animals do not have the ability to make moral choices, for they function primarily on a survival instinct.

The fact that some people appeal to the animal kingdom in order to justify their iniquity is telling. Such appeals deride humanity and dishonor God, who has made us in His image and likeness. Animal behavior does not change the Word we have been given or the nature of God who defines good and evil.
