Three Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers have been fired for failing to comply with the city’s requirement that they get vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive a religious or medical exemption, according to LAPD Assistant Chief Dominic Choi.

Seven other employees are facing dismissal, and a total of 14 people—13 sworn and one civilian—have been found to be in violation of the immunization mandate, according to Choi.

Approximately 83 percent of the department has been fully vaccinated, 0.4 percent has been partially vaccinated, and 16.2% has not been immunized. There are currently over 2,000 exemptions outstanding. People who have recently tested positive for COVID-19 are eligible for medical exemptions, which last for 90 days.

City Councilman Joe Buscaino, who is running for mayor, said on Friday that he believes “it should be a question of personal choice and that we should respect our employees’ civil liberties and enable them to make their own personal medical decisions.”

The City Council adopted the vaccination requirement for city employees on Aug. 18. By December 18, all employees have to be immunized against COVID-19.

Only seven officers tested positive for COVID-19 in the last week, according to Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore, who reported a “sharp and dramatic decline” in new COVID-19 cases inside the department.

Moore told the Los Angeles Police Commission, “As a reminder, only four weeks ago, those numbers were in the five-and-six-hundred range of new COVID cases.”

He also stated that 68 LAPD officers are healing at home from the illness, with an average recovery time of roughly ten days.

Moore told the commission on Jan. 11 that the virus was having a major impact on the department, but that there were contingency plans in place to guarantee that essential patrol, investigation, and 911 services were maintained. More than 1,000 people were off-duty at the time owing to the illness.

Mayor Eric Garcetti and the chiefs of the fire and police departments talked to the public on Jan. 6 to reassure Angelenos that the departments still had appropriate staffing levels to keep them safe.

Moore remarked Tuesday that the decline of COVID-19 cases is in line with the county’s. COVID-positive patients in Los Angeles County hospitals are likewise on the decline, lessening the virus’s impact on the local health-care system.

During the two-year pandemic, the number of hospitalized COVID patients in the county has fluctuated between 8,098 and 213. It swiftly climbed to almost 4,800 cases in mid-January, propelled by the Omicron variety, and has been progressively falling since then. For the first time since December, the number went below 1,000 on Sunday, and as of Tuesday, it stood at 927.

It looks like a communist administration because it is one; Why is society paralyzed? Find your courage in the word, Matthew 5:44 says: “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Satan is building his own army just like God. In Matthew chapter 10, Jesus tells his apostles they have been given power over unclean spirits, and sends them out to spread the word. We hold power over unclean spirits and our prayer can move mountains.

No one man can make sense of this elaborate illusion cast over the common man of society, but collectively we can point out each limitation forced upon us and bring it forward as an injustice to the public. In Matthew 10:34 Jesus says: “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” We’re meant to go down preaching the gospel and guiding others to salvation. This could be considered the bravest task a man or woman of faith could undertake, but make no mistake it will bear fruit in the kingdom of heaven. Stay inquisitive in the word of God, and the world around you.
