SPEND MORE TIME WITH HIM~
Many of us are experiencing trials and tribulations. Deaths in the family, medical problems, financial burdens, marriage and relationship struggles and so much more!
We must hold tight to Jesus and keep our eyes on Him, KNOWING He is faithful to bring us through them. Each new day we must get up and put one foot in front of the other and BELIEVE we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us! We must TRUST Him to work all things together for our good because we love Him and are called according to His purpose! HIS PURPOSE!
His purpose is that we mature in faith and become more like Him every day. He gave us His life example in the gospels of how He dealt with loneliness, persecution, and struggle.
JESUS WEPT. Jesus was in some serious struggles! Some battles He could not win unless He surrendered them to God! Just like we are!
JESUS PRAYED and got alone with the Father and communed with Him.
These times of being with His father were not five-minute pep talks.
They weren’t even fifteen-minute scripture readings.
They weren’t ‘I need, bless them, thank you Jesus’ rituals.
These times he spent with God we’re serious times of I MUST DECREASE-YOU MUST INCREASE. These times of prayer were times of anguish that lead to a great time of refreshment and strength to go on! When Jesus went to spent time with God-He went in powerless and helpless to His circumstances—and came out KNOWING God was with Him and that He could go on!
IF YOUR TRIALS AND CIRCUMSTANCES ARE BRINGING YOU DOWN do what Jesus did! He clung to the Father and the Father gave Him strength, wisdom, and power!
He will give it to you too! But you must come to Him and spend time in His arms. You must relinquish all your ideas, plans, opinions and assumptions of your life and just give it all to Him.
The hotter the fire-the more time we need to spend with the Lord! He is our only source of peace and confidence! We need Him more!
That’s where you will find peace in the midst of your storm. Spending time with Him. Source
