Bill Gates, Microsoft’s founder and chairman, spoke at the Munich Security Conference on Friday about how the threat presented by the COVID pandemic had “dramatically lowered”…while also admitting that spontaneous infection and dissemination was more successful at building human immunity than vaccinations.
During an interview with CNBC’s Hadley Gamble at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s annual conference in Germany, Gates, the co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, told the audience that a potential new pandemic would most likely be caused by a pathogen other than the coronavirus family (perhaps Ebola?).
However, if investments are made today, breakthroughs in medical technology could help the world do a better job of combating it.

Gates said the worst impacts of the coronavirus epidemic have faded after large swaths of the world population had developed some level of protection two years later.
With the current omicron variety, the severity has also decreased.
After years of denial, Gates finally admitted – albeit in a roundabout way – that the omicron variant’s infectiousness had played a crucial role in developing human immunity to SARS-CoV-2.
According to Gates, the WHO’s target of vaccinating 70% of the world’s population by mid-2022 is already “too late.” Currently, 61.9 percent of the world’s population has gotten at least one dose of a COVID Kill Shot vaccination), but that’s fine, according to Gates, because the virus itself has “done a better job of going out to the world population than we have with vaccines” in many locations.
“The risk of serious illness, which is mostly related with being elderly and having obesity or diabetes, is now drastically lowered as a result of that infection exposure,” he explained.
Finally, Gates said that being “prepared” for the next epidemic would not be prohibitively expensive. Having a changeable mRNA vaccine platform, for example, is one way vaccine producers could be able to prepare, according to Gates.
“Being prepared for the next flu does not come at a high price. It’s not like global warming. Yes, if we’re logical, we’ll notice it early the next time.”
He went on to say that the world should move quicker in developing and distributing vaccinations in the future, and that countries should spend today.
“Next time, instead of two years, we should attempt to produce it in six months,” Gates remarked, noting that standardized platforms, such as messenger RNA (mRNA) technology, will make this possible.
Despite becoming a target of public ridicule during the epidemic, Bill Gates and his foundation remain undeterred: the billionaire is already pouring millions of dollars into a foundation that is trying to prepare for “the next” plandemic.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has teamed with the Wellcome Trust in the United Kingdom to provide $300 million to the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, which helped develop the Covax vaccine delivery program in low- and middle-income countries.
The CEPI hopes to fund $3.5 billion in order to reduce the time it takes to produce a new vaccine from 100 days to only 100 days.
The entire thing is ridiculous since no one knows when the next plandemic will strike.
