GOOD CHOICES; HOW WE CAN KNOW THEY ARE GOOD- Heb.5:14

To do what is right we need to first know how that is determined. What makes something the right thing to do? Is it that it makes someone else feel good? If that were true then Jesus would never have said to the Pharisees that they were a den of vipers. Or that the Jews He was speaking to in John8 were of their father the devil. So while doing something that makes someone feel good may be the right thing. it is definitely not the criteria we can always use to know what the right thing is. What about doing what makes us feel good? Is that the measure of doing the right thing? If it was then all our choices would be out of selfish motivation. And where would that leave those around us? Left out and aware […]

IMMUTABLE TRUTH FOR THE FIRST TIME- Heb.6:18-20

And you have heard doctrine taught in most very church today. Then you are in for some eye opening Biblical facts. Facts like Adam being natural and not spiritual when God made him. Facts like the reason Jesus died was to conquer death for us so that we could have eternal life. And that His death had nothing to do with God requiring a penalty to be paid for man’s naughty behavior. While that was true for the time when Israel was under the law. It was only true for those who were under the law. And for no one else. So the fact that churches teach Jesus’ sacrifice was for the purpose of dying in our place and to pay a penalty we all owe because God made all men bear the iniquity of Adam’s sin. Shows how far

“THE GREATER WORKS THAT JESUS COULD NOT DO THAT YE SHALL DO” John6:47

By Edward O’Hara Jesus told His disciples “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” This was in reference to the ministry they would have when they would be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit. Works they would be doing after Jesus’ death and resurrection when He left to be with the Father. When a New Covenant would be in power by His death and resurrection that would make all of this possible. But, when I first heard this as a new believer it used to make me wonder how anyone could do greater works than Jesus did. I mean Jesus healed the sick. The lame were made to walk. The blind

THE JESUS THAT CAME IN THE SAME FLESH ALL MEN HAVE IS THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER- 2John1:9

The only caveat being that it has to be the same Jesus the apostles taught us about. And not just any Jesus. Like those found in cults. And even in what is believed by many to be historical Christianity. And how do we know we have believed in the same Jesus that walked the earth as a man almost 2,000 years ago? Because His description matches with what the apostles taught. The one described by the prophets and is found in the gospels. The Jews who were alive when Jesus walked the earth had a problem with Him because they perceived Him to be a threat to their position and an end to their way of life. So they looked for ways to make Him a law breaker and a blasphemer. While still others from the other nations because of

NONE RIGHTEOUS NO NOT ONE ARE ONLY THOSE WHO SAY IN THEIR HEART THERE IS NO GOD- Psalm14

By Edward O’Hara Or is there a different and more Biblical way of interpreting what Paul was teaching here in Rom.3? Is Paul trying to tell us when he writes that all have sinned means that all those who have sinned have sinned? Or is he saying all men that have ever lived have sinned? In this message I am going to try to help you see what the truth is in this matter of sin that Paul and others are trying to convey. Often are used verses or portions of verses that seem on the surface to be saying everyone that has ever lived are sinners. I call this sound bite teaching because these people use only parts of scriptures to prove their point. And much less often are those verses taught so that they are understood in the
