Not “What actions would my political party take?” Not “What would serve my financial interests?” Not “What would my preferred commentator express?” What would Jesus do? Would Jesus reduce food stamps for hungry children to finance tax cuts for billionaires? Would Jesus revere wealth and power? Would Jesus say that the poor are deserving of their suffering? Would Jesus construct barriers to exclude refugees? Would Jesus advocate for violence against His adversaries? The answer is already known to you. The answer has always been clear to you.
