CHARTING GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION; A BIBLICAL VIEW Pt.2- Gen.3:22

As I said last week I believe I was given this chart from the Lord. I could see it so clearly as He showed it to me that it was like I was standing in a room with it written on the wall. It is unmistakenly Biblical as it follows through time God’s plan as He worked it out using men who would believe Him.

Last week we saw in Genesis that God made Adam natural not spiritual. Seeing Paul confirm this in 1Cor.15:45-48. And that making him this way adding little by little ingredients through time that man would need God provided the means for man to recognize his need for God. A need Adam would never recognize as long as he remained natural and not spiritual in the garden.

We also saw that the timeline of events was Adam’s sin, then death. And not the other way around. The importance of understanding this can not be overstated. As this changed 180 degrees with the rest of mankind. Because for the rest of us the timeline worked out to death first then sin for those who did sin.

We also saw that Adam was made a living soul and not a living spirit. Paul again confirming this in 1Cor.15:45-48 and 1Cor.2:14. So that we know what causes men to need a savior has nothing to do with bad or good behavior. But, only with the fact that he has never been spiritual from the beginning.

With this foundation as we look further at God’s timeline we see how death spread to all men. And that this death was not caused by man’s sin as those who believe Augustine teach. Rather, it was caused by man’s no longer having access to the tree of life.

Because in Genesis.3:22 we see God saying why men die when He said, “22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever”.

We know this is true because if sin caused death to pass to all men as the original sin doctrine says, then Adam’s sin was imputed to all men. But, Rom.5:13 says the sin of Adam was not imputed to himself or anyone else because there was no law.

Now looking again at the chart we see that even though God dealt with Noah and others mankind was really split up into 2 sets of people when God called Abraham. Made up of those whose trust in God made them righteous giving them a relationship of sorts with God. And those whose unbelief made them unrighteous having no relationship with God.

From Joshua24:2 we can deduce that Abraham(Abram) came from a family of idol makers. So this was the circumstances surrounding his call by God to “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee”.

Previously surrounded by paganism, Abram believed God and went as God had told him. While the rest of the world continued in their paganism Abram began to follow God. Believing God’s promise to make Abraham the father of many nations.

This is why believers refer to Abraham as the father of faith. Because it was his trust in God that set forth God’s plan that would culminate in what we have today. Jesus joining with man in our death. So that by His resurrection conquering death we can join with Him in His life.

We have seen here that what sets men apart for God is not their behavior. Rather it is the fact that men believe God just as Abraham did that sets them apart from the world.

So that we can know that the men who went before and have come after that teach the doctrine of original sin and sin nature have been deceived and are deceiving. Because these doctrines contradict the scriptures as I have shown in this message today.

Jesus did not have to die because men are bad and need to be made good to be acceptable to God. He had to die because only God in human flesh could conquer death on our behalf. Not “in our place” as original sin and sin nature teach. But, with us as the scriptures teach.

This is why when you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. And believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you are saved. Because with the heart man believes as Abraham did and is righteous. And with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This is why Jesus said by your words you will be justified. And by your words you will be condemned. Words, not works either condemn or justify men. To be born again as Jesus said men must be you must confess and believe.

And when you are born again you are made a new creation in Christ. Because a spirit is created in your heart that that you never had before. A spirit that is what makes you a child of God. And as a child of God heir to His kingdom.

Do this and you will have eternal life now that can never be taken away or forfeited. Do this and you will be made immortal at the resurrection. Do this and heaven will be yours eternal home. Do this… and I will see you there or in the air!
