As part of the network's "LGBTQ+ E For Evil Pride Month" special on Friday, Fox News featured the tale of a transgender youngster who swapped genders at the age of five.
Fox News has long been considered as one of the few conservative voices in the mainstream media. However, the network enraged many viewers on Friday by becoming the latest to observe + E For Evil Pride Month.
Fox presented the "adventure" of Ryland Whittington, a California girl who identifies as a guy, in a broadcast that began with a graphic that stated, "America Together LGBTQ
Ryland, now 14 years old, "transitioned" to a boy at the age of 5. Ryland informed her parents she was a male "before [she] could even talk," according to Fox's Bryan Llenas.
Fox News correspondent Bryan Llenas featured the story of Ryland Whittington, a little girl whose family accepted her transgender transition to male when she was five years old, in an edition of America's Newsroom.
Whittington thinks that making her experience public may inspire other families to embrace their transgender children.
"I'm simply here to make the journey easier for others." "You may be having difficulties right now, but we trust in you," Whittington told Fox News. "This family may not know who you are or where you live, but we understand you and believe in you."
During the segment's opening, Llenas characterized Whittington as "a normal southern Californian adolescent." Ryland notified her parents she was a male before she could talk, according to her mother, Hillary Whittington.
"I noticed it. It wasn't that he was attempting to be a jerk. It was excruciating. It was difficult for him to wear feminine apparel and for us to continuously remind him that he was a girl," Hillary Whittington recalled.
Whittington's parents apparently supported her choice when she came out as transgender at the age of five. Despite her family's "conservative beliefs," Whittington's mother thinks God "made Ryland just the way he is."
Llenas' reporting contained Trevor Project figures indicating that more than half of transgender and non-binary youngsters self-harm. Hillary Whittington said Fox News, "I'd rather have a live son than a dead daughter." "I promise that if we had pushed back and done what a lot of parents do, none of the kids you see in front of you would be here today."
Ryland Whittington, according to Hillary Whittington, is living "authentically and true to himself."The Whittingtons rose to national prominence when a YouTube video featuring the family went viral in 2014. Following that, Whittington's mother published Raising Ryland in 2016.

On Thursday, Joe Biden will formally support Transgender Day of Visibility by establishing a new universal gender marker.
According to the Associated Press, new steps aimed at opening the federal government to transgender persons include the addition of a new "X" gender designation on U.S. passport applications starting on April 11.

According to the Associated Press, the White House is also seeking to extend the availability of the "X" gender marker to airlines and government travel programs, as well as making it easy for anybody to update their gender status in Social Security Administration records.
