California Purchases 14 Million COVID Tests For Schools.

Governor Gavin Newsom has deployed 14.3 million COVID-19 at-home assessments in the last month to curb outbreaks as students and staff return from Spring Break. According to the governor’s office, the test will be provided to all public and private schools in the state, which has approximately 7.2 million students and personnel. In a statement released on March 26, Newsom said, “California is focused on keeping schools open and students safe, and we’re not letting our guard down.” According to the governor’s office, the examinations are given out based on the number of pupils and personnel in each county.
