WHY GOD MADE ABRAHAM, NOT MOSES, THE “FATHER OF MANY NATIONS”- PT.2

In Rom.4 we read that “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” These words from the apostle Paul reveal why God said Abraham, and not Moses, would be the “father of many nations”. It is so that it would by faith, and not by works, that the promise of eternal life is received. A faith that joins men to God by love because Paul said in Gal.5:6 that this kind of faith only works by love. Apart from this kind of faith there is no eternal life.   Moses trusted the Father as Abraham had. But, his calling was different because through him God would bring the imputation of sin for the Israelites because it was determined by God that He would bring the Messiah through their bloodline.
