Watchman’s Daily Devotional: Love Is the One Thing That Will Keep Your Priorities Straight When Things Fall Apart. It Will Keep You From the Natural Tendency to Toward Self-Preservation So That You Can Be Aware of the Needs Around You

1 Peter 4:7-8 7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. If the end was nigh then, it’s closer now. They were facing the end of temple worship and the world. In an instant, our world can alter. If we are not calm and focused, we will be swept up in pandemonium. God’s people and those making decisions should be prayed for. We should seek out opportunities to help those seeking actual answers. When our world goes insane, we can only hear God’s guidance when the Spirit guides us everyday. Peter tells us that love is our greatest gift. This love doesn’t require a reaction or it’ll be gone. This love covers many sins.…

EDWARD O’HARA: ONLY THE SINCERE MILK OF THE WORD GROWS STRONG BELIEVERS…

Edward O’Hara That’s what our Bible tells us in 1Peter2:2,3. “Desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby. If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious”. Think about this for a moment. This means that the believer’s initial and subsequent growth must begin with and have as it’s foundation the sincere milk of the word. This shows how very important it is that we hear the truth about salvation and all that is linked to it right from the start to insure that the growth we experience in all the areas the scriptures teach us about is based on solid Biblical truth. A solid foundation. And not on man’s wisdom. And only then will we be prepared to partake of the meat that gives us the ability to discern between good and evil as Heb.5:14 says. …

THE WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT TO A MAN THAT LEADS TO DEATH

Edward O’Hara… Proverbs14:12 says are the ways of death. Isaiah told Israel that their righteousness’ were as filthy rags in Isaiah64:6. Paul told them that know the law that they be joined with Christ when they are dead to the law. And that only when they are joined to Christ  can they bring forth fruit unto God in Rom.7:4. There is a clue in this verse that will help us understand why God accepted Abel’s offering. But, not Cain’s. It also helps us to understand why in Rom.9 Paul says that God hated Esau but loved Jacob.  It is because Cain and Esau represents the righteousness of works, and Abel and Jacob represents the righteousness of faith. Check it out. I am sure it will be a blessing to you. Paul also said that the law is not made for the righteous…

Morning Devotion

The book of Hebrews is an excellent place to find answers to our questions about faith. Chapter 11 begins with this short definition of faith: “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). What, then, is a leap of faith? The term leap of faith is not found in the Bible. It is a common idiom, though. Usually, to take a leap of faith means “to believe in something with no evidence for it” or “to attempt an endeavor that has little chance of success.” Leap of faith actually originated in a religious context. Søren Kierkegaard coined the expression as a metaphor for belief in God. He argued that truth cannot be found by observation alone but must be understood in the mind and heart apart from empirical evidence. Since we cannot observe God with…
