Watchman’s Daily Devotional: Love Is the One Thing That Will Keep Your Priorities Straight When Things Fall Apart. It Will Keep You From the Natural Tendency to Toward Self-Preservation So That You Can Be Aware of the Needs Around You

1 Peter 4:7-8 7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

If the end was nigh then, it's closer now. They were facing the end of temple worship and the world. In an instant, our world can alter. If we are not calm and focused, we will be swept up in pandemonium. God's people and those making decisions should be prayed for. We should seek out opportunities to help those seeking actual answers. When our world goes insane, we can only hear God's guidance when the Spirit guides us everyday.

Peter tells us that love is our greatest gift. This love doesn't require a reaction or it'll be gone. This love covers many sins. Love forgives crimes. Peter calls it deep love. It should be as profound as Christ's love for you. He expects you to share what He gave you.

When things go wrong, only love will keep your priorities straight. It will keep you from self-preservation so you can see others' needs. Jesus showed this love at Gethsemane. "If it is me you are seeking, then let these go." He prayed before crisis because he was clear-headed and self-controlled. He loved His disciples enough to overlook their abandonment.

Lord, help me be focused and self-controlled so I can pray. Help me show my Christian brothers and sisters your profound love so I can forgive.

The Great Tribulation

It is our belief that the Great Tribulation referred to in the New Testament Book of Revelation (chapters 6-11) is unfolding before our eyes. In the near future, we will devote the "Tribulation" tab on our "Trending" menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. The Watchman

In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand."
