Los Angeles Unified School District Purging Unvaccinated Teachers.

On May 16, a group of teachers and parents protested outside the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) offices in Los Angeles when some unvaccinated online class teachers heard that unless they become completely vaccinated against COVID-19 by June 10, they might lose their jobs. At the demonstration organized by Los Angeles Educators and Parents United—a group of “diverse LAUSD Educators & Parents united for freedom of choice,” according to its Instagram page—dozens of individuals held signs reading “Stop Discrimination,” “Medical Freedom,” and “LAUSD Stop Firing Teachers.” According to the group, the district has shifted over 600 unvaccinated instructors from brick-and-mortar classrooms to City of Angels, the district’s online school, since the rule began in November. An email issued by the district last week to an unknown number of unvaccinated online teachers sparked the outrage. Due to low enrolment in…

Massachusetts State Governor Terminates 12 State Troopers For Failing To Comply With State Vaccine Mandate.

Despite a dramatic decline in cases and hospitalizations across the state in recent months, a dozen Massachusetts State Troopers were fired on April 8 for refusing to comply with the state’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. According to a representative for the Massachusetts State Police, 11 troopers and one sergeant were fired for failing to follow Governor Charlie Baker’s directive. State Police spokesman David Procopio said they were let go after an internal hearing procedure. In August 2021, Baker signed an executive order requiring all executive branch workers, including the State Police, to show proof of immunization by Oct. 17, 2021. Only “limited exemptions from the vaccination mandate can be established where a reasonable accommodation can be reached” for a worker on medical or religious grounds, according to the order. State Police Association of Massachusetts spokesperson Chris Keohan told the Boston Herald…

45 More Marines Discharged for Refusal to Take the COVID-19 Vaccine.

The United States Marine Corps has discharged another 45 Marines for refusing to receive COVID-19 vaccinations, according to a statement released by the military branch on Thursday. The Marines were discharged “for vaccine refusal,” according to a spokesperson. The branch considers any active-duty Marine who has not completed their primary COVID-19 immunization regimen by Nov. 14 or any reserves who have not completed the process by Dec. 14 to be unvaccinated. The two-dose Moderna or Pfizer vaccinations, or the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine, are the most common regimens. All unvaccinated Marines without a pending or approved exemption application, or a pending appeal of a denied exemption request, are being processed for separation. Last Monday, the branch said 351 Marines had been expelled for refusing vaccines, but the number has now been adjusted to 289. “We inadvertently counted Marines who had…

Healthcare Worker Vaccine Mandate is Now Effect Nationwide After Court Dismisses Texas LawSuit.

After a federal judge threw out a lawsuit from Texas on Wednesday, the federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers is now enforceable in all 50 states. In mid-December, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas issued a preliminary injunction blocking the mandate until the lawsuit is heard on the merits. The vaccine mandate from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) was put on hold in 25 states, including Texas, but it was remained in effect in another 25 states, according to the preliminary injunction. On January 14, the Biden administration filed an appeal against the injunction. After the US Supreme Court lifted injunctions blocking the CMS vaccine mandate on Jan. 13, Texas moved to dismiss the case on Tuesday. The CMS can now enforce its mandate across the United States, thanks to…

Unvaccinated Marine Officer Who Was Denied Religious Exemption Speaks Out.

The denial of religious exemptions for the Defense Department’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, which went into effect in August, is a direct assault on the rights of service members everywhere, according to an unvaccinated Marine Corps officer, and may be part of a larger effort to purge the military of conservative-leaning Christians. Major Lewis Paul (fake name) spoke with the Epoch Times about his nearly 20 years in the Marine Corps. Paul spoke to the journal under the condition of anonymity because he was afraid of retaliation. He described the procedure for requesting religious accommodations, stating that each request is sent through the chain of command, with the final decision made at Headquarters Marine Corps. He explained that the decision is based on a proposal by the three-member Religious Accommodation Review Board, which then sends requests to Lt. Gen. David Ottignon,…

California & New Jersey Governors Order National Guard to Assist the Medical Facilities They Purged.

California and New Jersey governors ordered National Guard troops this week to help with their COVID-19 response. Guard personnel would be sent to long-term care facilities such as nursing homes around the state, according to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, a Democrat. “While the Omicron variant surges across the country, this deployment will send members of our National Guard to long-term care institutions with staffing needs and will act to preserve the health and safety of long-term-care residents,” Murphy said in a statement. The approximately 150 Guard members will assist residents with daily activities and meal preparation in addition to testing and screening employees, residents, and visitors. According to state health officials, there are 513 long-term care institutions in New Jersey with active COVID-19 outbreaks. COVID-19 is a sickness produced by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus that affects around…
