The Lord Is More Than Capable of Dispensing Justice

David discovered that the LORD is more than capable of administering justice as a result of his encounter with the evil Nabal. He applied what he had learnt from the past to his current situation. We all have to do that. Verse 10 describes David’s friend’s desire to murder Saul while he was asleep. For the second time, Saul was thrown into David’s hands by God, yet he deserted God to exact revenge. He will allow the LORD to look for him.

David was aware that people would treat him the same way he treated the king if he gained to the throne. He was a believer of the law of sowing and reaping. God would save his life if he was obedient to the LORD and did not hurt Saul. The measuring cup lesson from the New Testament illustrates this. You will be treated the same way you treat your brother (Mark 4:24). You will get a spoonful of grace from God and other people if you extend it to them. David sought for the greatest amount of mercy and grace he could discover because he desired it from both God and other people. He did receive it, and he would undoubtedly need it later. It’s silly to imagine you won’t need it. The LORD will be generous to you if you show grace to those who have harmed you.

1 Samuel 26:10, 24 10As surely as the LORD lives,” he said, “the LORD himself will strike him; either his time will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish.

24As surely as I valued your life today, so may the LORD value my life and deliver me from all trouble.”

Prayer: Lord, please enable me to put my faith in You to handle those who mistreat me.
