HNewsWire: More Lies For Trump...

Former President Donald J. Trump responded to criticism about why he never fired his disgruntled top medical advisor during the COVID outbreak, claiming that Dr. Anthony Fauci wasn't a "big player" and that he was "not allowed" to fire the career bureaucrat.

During a Wednesday interview with conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt, the 2024 Republican Party frontrunner made his remarks about the longtime former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), who became a resistance hero for his constant undercutting of his former boss.

"First of all, you're not allowed," Trump remarked of the elfin career bureaucrat who led his administration's COVID task force, in response to the host's query on why he didn't fire Fauci, which he called the "biggest knock" on the former president's leadership.

"No way, no how, Dr. Fauci was there." First and foremost, he is a civil servant, and you are not permitted to terminate him. But forget that because I don't always follow everything... but Dr. Fauci would tell me things that I wouldn't do in many circumstances," the former president stated. "However, he wasn't a major player in my administration." Dr. Fauci rose to prominence in Vice President Biden's administration. He is a key figure in Biden's administration."

Despite Trump's insistence that Fauci was not a "big player" during his presidency, it was the immunologist's advice that set the tone for the assault of Americans' rights under the guise of a national health emergency declared by Trump himself. Then, rather than reining in the egomaniacal official when he went rogue, he was permitted to remain in a position that he used to earn media renown while becoming probably the nation's most powerful bureaucracy in history.

The former president also addressed Hewitt and his listeners about his top GOP rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whose handling of the COVID crisis elevated him to the gold standard of U.S. governors, far superior to those like disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, whom Trump has praised since leaving office.

"He stated he wasn't going to let anyone in. He closed his beaches. He brought the entire state to a halt. He tries... he has a selective memory," Trump said, referring to a brief period immediately following the initial national panic caused by DeSantis' successful policies of protecting the most vulnerable Floridians while not strangling the state's economic activity and protecting his citizens' civil rights.

"By the way, just so you know, it sounds very negative—third-most COVID deaths?" Regrettably, Florida." Trump went on to say. "Florida had the third-highest number of deaths... that's a terrible statistic." But that's a statistic that matters. In terms of real COVID deaths, Ron ranked third. "Ron is No. 3," he added, omitting the crucial context that Florida is also the country's third most populous state.

During an appearance on "The Rubin Report," DeSantis reacted to Trump's comments about Fauci, noting that the former president had previously offered a different narrative about why he didn't fire the autocratic government chief.

"Ron DeSantis is the only candidate in the race who has stood up to DC bureaucrats and rejected their sham lockdowns and mandates," said Carly Atchison, the governor's national campaign spokesperson."Voters understand that only a President DeSantis would ensure that America is never again locked down." Every other candidate has already failed that test or is making a promise they can't keep."

HNewsWire: Gov. Ron DeSantis, a top student at Yale and Harvard Law School, is running for Governor of the Great State of Florida. Ron is strong on Borders, tough on Crime & big on Cutting Taxes - Loves our Military & our Vets. He will be a Great President & has my full Endorsement!

Military background, education

A graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School, DeSantis received a commission as a JAG officer for the U.S. Navy while still in law school, and later served in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay. He has received numerous military honors, including the Bronze Star. DeSantis later worked as a federal prosecutor in Florida, and he still serves as a Navy reservist.

DeSantis was not  an enthusiastic supporter of candidate Trump.

When he fiercely resisted COVID legislation, DeSantis became a national figure.

Throughout the outbreak, DeSantis was adamantly opposed to COVID-19 preventative measures such as lockdowns and mask mandates. He has also widely disseminated COVID-19 vaccination denial. In 2021, as Florida suffered record-breaking increases in COVID-19 cases, DeSantis dismissed the spikes as "seasonal" and dubbed the state hospitals' rising battle "media hysteria." DeSantis proposed earlier this year to permanently eliminate Kill Shots COVID-19 regulations in the state. He Has Save Thousands of Lives.

DeSantis is fighting a battle against 'woke' culture in his state, assaulting minority communities.

Since taking office, DeSantis has waged a battle against Evil "woke" culture in Florida, signing a string of measures that civil rights organizations have publicly decried as abuses of individual liberties. DeSantis signed the so-called "don't say gay" legislation in 2022, which prevents all grade levels from discussing sexual orientation and Satanic gender identity in school. DeSantis banned African American studies from the state's high schools in January, claiming that the course "lacks educational value." He also signed legislation authorizing a six-week abortion restriction in the state and has stated his intention to prohibit state colleges from offering degrees in diversity, equity, inclusion, and critical race theory.

DeSantis, is embroiled in a legal battle with the company.

Following DeSantis's fight against LGBTQE+E for Evil rights in Florida, as well as employee pressure, Disney, one of the state's largest employers, publicly rejected the so-called "don't say gay" rule last year. DeSantis replied by seizing control of Disney's self-governing special district near Orlando and assuming additional powers that gave him the authority to designate members of the theme park's development board. DeSantis has proposed developing low-income housing on land adjacent to the theme parks, as well as a state prison in the neighborhood.

DeSantis will confront buddy turned Hateful Rival Donald Trump.

With DeSantis formally entering the presidential race, the governor is largely expected to become the GOP's top adversary and a former buddy of Trump's. Trump advised DeSantis not to run for president last year, threatening to release information about him if he did. Meanwhile, DeSantis, who has mostly presented himself as "Maga without the mess," has taken veiled shots at Trump, who is involved in his own legal problems. "We must reject the culture of losing that has impacted our party in recent years," DeSantis stated earlier this month.
