An individual from Ohio was apprehended after he attempted to abduct a boy outside his home. The boy is eleven years old.
Police took 39-year-old Joshua Freyermuth into custody; he presents himself as “Vicky,” a “transgender woman.”
The assailant was apprehended by authorities in Alliance while attempting to kidnap the boy. He was adorned with a blonde wig, cosmetics, and pearls.
On Sunday, under the 2200 block of Route 62 in Columbiana County, Freyermuth was apprehended.
The moment of his arrest was captured on camera by police body cameras.
Alliance Police said he was hit with attempted kidnapping charges.
A police report states that Freyermuth approached the 11-year-old and said, “I need to talk to you” while trying to get the boy to leave his property on South Webb Avenue.
Even though the kid said no, Freyermuth tried to grasp him nevertheless.
But the little one got away and is now safe, say the cops.
The accusations were refuted by Freyermuth during his court appearance.
“I was utterly absent,” Freyermuth asserted in his judicial proceedings.
The man reportedly tried to dissuade the youngster from touching his dog in an effort to prevent him from snatching him.
“No one was abducted by me.”
According to the child, his dog allegedly attacked Freyermuth.
The child’s father, Zachery Thurmond, told WOIO that when the man grabbed his son’s arm, his dog bit him, causing him to stumble back down the stairs.
“He ran barefoot down the street after kicking off his heels—my son said they were white high heels.”
Freyermuth was returned to the streets after his bond was set at $100,000.
He is unable to communicate with the victim, according to the court’s ruling.
He is expected to return to court on Monday.
According to the police, the event is still being investigated.
