ADAM WAS MADE NATURAL, NOT SPIRITUAL FOR OUR EXAMPLE

Edward O’Hara Why did God make Adam a natural man? Why didn’t God make him spiritual from the beginning? Oh,” you say, “but God did make him spiritual from the beginning. He made him in His image and likeness so that means he was made spiritual”. If you believe that you are seriously and sadly mistaken. Because Paul said plainly in 1Cor.15:45-50 that Adam was not made a spiritual being when God made him, but a natural being. A living soul. Of the earth earthy. Flesh and blood. And God said in Gen.3:19 that all that Adam was was made from the dust. And to the dust, he shall return. With that cleared up, we will now return to our original question. Why did God make Adam natural and not spiritual from the beginning?  The short answer is that God chose…

HOW THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST HAS BEEN

PREPARING ‘CHURCHIANITY’ TO BE STRONGLY DELUDED… Edward O’Hara… In 2Thes.2 Paul is teaching the church about the great falling away and the coming of the “man of sin”. In it Paul says that the great falling away is caused by a strong delusion that comes upon those who were in the church. And that this strong delusion is for those in the church that have never come to a love of the truth. So it is these who are sent this strong delusion. It is for those who believed they have come to a love for the truth but never did. Because instead they allowed themselves to be deceived by Satan through false teachers and wound up joining themselves to a false religion that called itself Christianity but was not Christianity at all. So this passage is not speaking of a…

WHO WINS? THE NATURAL WEAKLING… OR THE SPIRITUAL POWERHOUSE?

Edward O’Hara Sun 2/23/2020 12:33 PM… Have you ever noticed that when Jesus was with the disciples they never really “got” what was happening? Oh, they followed Him because they were sure He was the Messiah. But, they understood that to mean something very different from what Jesus came to do. Because they believed what all Israelites believed about Messiah. That when He came He would conquer their enemies and set up His kingdom right then. But, Jesus did not come for that purpose. At least not when He came the first time. And we who have believed know that He is coming again. This is why His Jewish followers were so despondent after Jesus died.  They were so clueless about what Jesus was doing that while living among them and teaching them every day Jesus found Himself asking them things like, “Are…

HOW PAGAN GNOSTICISM BECAME ORTHODOXY

Edward O’Hara Tue 2/18/2020 9:44 AM… How did something as unorthodox as pagan Gnosticism, which John said was “of the spirit of antichrist” in 1John4:1-3 because it denies that Jesus came in the same flesh all men have, and Paul said would be the premise for strong delusion in 2Thes.2:7-12 because this is the perverted gospel the antichrist has used to deceive religious people since John’s day, become orthodoxy? Why do so many believe this naughty/nice Santa Claus paradigm as it concerns man’s need for a savior? Why does anyone believe the notion that it is because God is good and men are evil that man needs a savior? It’s crazy! It has happened as Isaiah5:21,22 said it would. Evil is presented as good and darkness for light and bitter for sweet. And pagan Gnosticism for orthodox. Isaiah says “Woe…

OUR SPIRITUAL HOUSE… A GLORIOUS MANIFESTATION

Edward O’Hara Sat 2/15/2020 1:48 PM… Paul wrote some incredibly inspiring and comforting words. But, none more so than these; “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the…

SAVED BY GRACE REALLY MEANS SAVED BY GRACE

Edward O’Hara Tue 2/11/2020 10:39 PM How is my doing works for salvation any different from me trusting in someone else doing the works for me for salvation? I mean, it still works no matter who does them, right? And what is it about salvation by works anyway that is so ingrained in so many people that they just can’t see works not being involved in some way in salvation? Why is it so easy for people to be deceived into salvation by works mentality? It is because most people are taught from day one that if they want something in this life they will need to work for it. So what it comes down to is whether we will have God’s wisdom, or man’ Thinking in terms of earning or working for salvation is not God’s method for righteousness. It…

Morning Devotion

The testing or trials we undergo come in various ways. Becoming a Christian will often require us to move out of our comfort zones and into the unknown. Perseverance in testing results in spiritual maturity and completeness. This is why James wrote, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds” (James 1:2). The testing of faith can come in small ways and daily irritations; they may also be severe afflictions (Isaiah 48:10) and attacks from Satan (Job 2:7). Whatever the source of the testing, it is to our benefit to undergo the trials that God allows. The account of Job is a perfect example of God’s allowing one of His saints to be tested by the devil. Job bore all his trials patiently and “did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing” (Job 1:22). However,…
